In this digital era, all the information are transferred from traditional print format to electronic format due to innovations of emerging technologies. Even though, majority of the libraries are acquainted with more collection of printed format compared to electronic format. These printed collections are in paper media. Since these paper media of information have more deterioration influence, they have to be preserved for future reference and for future authentication. This study aims to discuss the various forms of deterioration on library documents, factors influencing deterioration on books. This paper also suggested some methods to prevent this deterioration of information documents in libraries.

The purpose of this paper. Access and preservation to information are the oldest and very fundamental functions of library and information center. E-resources provide viable solution to the library problems such as easy access, preservation, high storage, and minimum space with multimedia documents and remote access to information collection. Information resources can be defined as resources that include both documents and non-documents in electronic or e-format that provide information or a pointer to the information and can be accessed through PC and via Internet.

The author provides detailed procedure used for the databases designed for various menus and submenus of Circulation Module. Field Definition Table, Data Entry Style and Print Format of each database is provided. Also provides details about inter linking of databases and files. This paper posits a definition and theory for "Library 2.0". It's about a seamless user experience, where usability, interoperability, and flexibility of library systems are key features to future prospects. It suggests that recent thinking describing changing Web as "Web 2.0" will have substantial implications for libraries and recognizes that while these implications keep very close to the history and mission of libraries; they still necessitate a new paradigm for librarianship. The paper applies the theory and definition to the practice of librarianship, specifically addressing how Web 2.0 technologies such as synchronous messaging and streaming media, blogs, wikis, social networks, tagging, RSS feeds, and mashups might intimate changes in how libraries provide access to their collections and user support for that access.
