Abstract : The study, “Use of Electronic Resources in Teaching, Learning and Research in Schools of Management Studies of Universities in Delhi: A Study,” is focused to know who these electronic information services users are, how often they use the services and the place where the information is accessed. Also, the users are asked to give their preferences between an electronic and print journal format. It has been found that usage of e-journals is increasing; this is due to awareness among the users about the e-resources and library services. Owing to an easy access available at various places in the schools, users are accessing these resources at hostels and departments. This will help other management schools in understanding the need for electronic resources and motivate them to update their resources in the larger interest of the post graduate students, faculty and research scholars. |

Abstract : Information seeking behavior of library users are changing due to several factors such as availability of information in multiple formats. The research paper focuses on how electronic information resources influence the informationseeking process in the schools of management and business studies like GGS IP University, Jamia MialliaIs lamia and University of Delhi in the NCT of Delhi. However, only 180 subjects returned the duly filled in questionnaires. The combined use of quantitative and qualitative analysis aimed at reducing subjectivity of Post Graduate management student(MBA). The author makes recommendations for improving library services and technologies to better meet the needs of a faculty, students and Scholars. Academic Libraries can influence students information behavior by re-examinations their instructional programmes and provision resources and services. They can take a lead by working with academic staff to guide students. |

Abstract : The present study was conducted to identify the preferences and willingness of life scientists on open access publishing of their scholarly research output. The scientific community publishes their long years of research work by utilising ‘tax payers’money in scholarly publications for many professional as well as personal reasons. Notable among them are gaining credibility among peers (name, fame and increased citations), winning research grants, promotion and so on. The study was taken up through collection of data from scientists of various institutes and life science subjects using a questionnaire set for the purpose. There were instances where 100% respondents said they would want their work to reach maximum audience (readers) without any cost and copyright restrictions. Abstract : The present study deals a Scientometric analysis of 56 papers publishedin the Library and Information science & Technical Abstract (LISTA) on internetuse in the subject of library &Information science during the period 2004 - 2013.Data is collected and analysed by using the SPSS software. The study focused onvarious aspects: such as document types, growth Rate (GR) and doubling time (DT)of publications and citations, year-wise, authorship pattern, institutions involved,most prolific authors of the journal. The study revealed that most of the papers(71.4%) of papers were contributed by multiple authors. USA is the top producingcountry with 8 (14.3%) publications of the total output. All the articles werepublished in English language. The mean doubling time for the first five years (i.e. 2004 to 2008) is only (1.05) which is increased to (6.07) during the last five years(2009 to 2013). Maximum 35 (62.5%) out of 56 of the authors are not mentioned their email address in the paper. |

Abstract : Study focused on how the digital era influence the information seeking process among the different faculty member of Deen Bandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Murthal. Out of 89, 64(71.91%) of the faculty members frequently visit the library ‘daily’ to seek their information and 31(34.84%) of the respondents mostly used the text books.Faculty members with 58(65.17%) and 45(50.56%) frequently visit the library for the purpose of teaching works and reading books respectively.42 (47.19%) of the faculty members use periodicals and 53(59.55%) use the internet ‘Daily’Majority of the faculty members with 48 (53.93%) use information in the format of Power Point. 59(66.29%) of the faculty members use Science Direct and 48(53.93%) respondents ‘mostly’ use internet at home. Amajority of the respondents i.e. 63(70.79%) have lack of time to seek information. |
