Abstract :Ethics discusses men’s habits and customs, or in other words their characters, the principles on which they habitually act, and considers what it is that constitutes the rightness or wrongness of those principles, the good or evil of those habits. Ethics are professional standards of conduct. Ethics are in question in situations where there is conflict of interests. The present paper studies ethics from different perspectives and tries to analyze it in an electronic environment and discusses important Acts to protect misuse of information.

Abstract :In today’s e- environment most of information and Knowledge resources are in electronic format. The whole subscription process and its access continuity depend on the agreement that the subscribing Library or individual subscribers sign with the online access provider, mainly the publishers of online journals or databases. The present study presents preliminary findings of a content Analysis of 4 e-journal licenses of Society and Commercial publishers. This study explored whether license clauses varied among commercial publishers, society, and whether differences existed between consortia and site licenses. This study can be helpful for libraries to understand the legal issues of licenses related to subscription of e-journals.

Abstract :The study examines the Opinion of faculty member’s towards accessing INDEST E-Resources. It also highlights the Core purpose, augmented purpose, Basic Advantages and disadvantages, Importance of INDEST E-Resources, Reading pattern of INDEST E-resources and satisfaction of using INDEST E-Resources. The analysis found that faculty has positive attitudes about the use of INDEST E-Resources and they are satisfied by using INDEST E-Resources to full fill their academic needs.

Abstract :Sources of Information available via the Internet are increasing exponentially. This comes with a steady increase in Internet use for education and research. Since past few years free online information sources like e-journals, e-books, e-databases have increased considerably. The traditional library systems are going to transform into digital library systems. Earlier, information and knowledge were passed by word of mouth or through manuscripts, and communication was a slow process. Today it is passed from one individual to an infinite number of other users through a number of media and formats which makes rapid and widespread dissemination of information possible. Results of the present study shows that the age wise respondents’ purpose of visit of institution library. It could be noted that out of the total 615 respondents, 19.43 percent of them purpose of visit of institution library for prepare examination. The study also shows that the status wise respondents’ awareness of e-resources.

Abstract :The paper provides detailed picture of repositories under Health and Medicine (HM) category available in Directory of Open Access Repositories (DOAR). In this study HM repositories listed in Directory of Open Access Repositories (DOAR) are analyzed for number of items archived so far, software used, type of material archived in these repositories etc. 268 repositories listed under Health and Medicine in DOAR were searchable. The study discloses the leading countries with repositories providing HM content and also highly used software used in these repositories.

Abstract :There has been a paradigm shift the world over, the way how information and knowledge is being generated, stored, accessed, disseminated and consumed. Information and communication technology (ICT) is the game changer in this and it has propelled the growth of large numbers of electronic resources across the world. Organizations now spend a major portion of their budget for subscribing to electronic resources such as e-journals, e-books, bibliographic/full –text databases, online services and web portals. The advent of IT has made a clear and pervasive impact in almost every area of library services. As such, the library environment has undergone a rapid changes leading to new generation of libraries with an emphasis on e- resources. Moreover, as the popularity of e-resources increases, the librarians and staff are also concerned about e-resources, their methods accessing, evaluation, selection, organization etc. The present paper is an aim to know how to manage e-resources in the modern LIS for better digital information services and challenges facing with e-resources.
