Abstract :The article throws the light on Copyright Act, its needs, importance and development in national and international level. The current scenario of international and amendment of Indian copyright act 2012 according to WTO and WIPO compliance. The article describes the copyright in context in digitization of documents in the libraries. Due to digital era the geographical boundaries are not the limit for the users to access the documents. The internet put the user in globalised so it is more important for library professionals to aware the users about the copyright and fair use of library documents. It show the awareness need of fair use provision of copyright act in India among library professionals and how the fair use is important in libraries.

Abstract :This paper discusses the scientific output for measuring the progress in Oncology Research. Indian Journal of Cancer has been taken as a source journal. It is freely accessible on Internet through Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). The aim of this analysis is to observe the year wise distribution of contribution, authorship pattern, and author productivity, relative growth, doubling time, geographical distribution of contribution, Citation analysis and application of Bradford law etc. This scientometric analysis based on total 143 contributions (103 articles and 40 case repots) and their 2577 citations published in “Indian journal of cancer” during the period of 2005-2009. Analysis shows that the spectrum of research activity was highest 23.78% in 2005 followed by 2008 with 21.68. This is observed that 57.34% papers published during the tenure were multi authored and degree of collaboration is 0.98. The contribution of foreign countries in Indian Journal is 20.99%. “Cancer” is most cited journal.

Abstract :The present research covered the social science journals, in this Journals scope of the study has been limited for the year 2010 and there were 71 Journals found in the subject of Social Science. And from these 71 Journals there were 11479 citations has been covered for study. It was evident from the study that maximum number of Citations 612 (5.33%) are published in the Canadian Social Science journal followed by Journal of Asia Pacific Studies 507(4.42%).

Abstract :Since ancient time, rural India had developed democratic tractions. The main objective was to promote economic development with distributive justice. The people formed little republic institutions to perform function as a unit. It was called as Samiti. In which all the village elders discussed the issues pertaining to the village. It can be compared to the present day gram samba, during the Vedic period each village elders met together to discuss local issues and the venue was called choral participation in the meeting was together considered as a privilege. During the latter part of the Vedic period, they had put an end to Gram Sabha system as bigger kingdoms emerged as a result of emerging big kingdom.
