Abstract : This manuscript focal point is the use of online resources and services in the Dr T.P.M library of Madurai Kamaraj University. A speech after shall law made to see the use of online resources and services by research scholars. The purpose of using education related or non education related online resource by research scholars has been focused on this paper. The p values (0.256, 0.837 and 0.066) are greater than 0.05. Hence, from the survey, We can infer that there is no significant difference between gender wise the frequent use of the online resource through digital libraries from the university libraries. |

Abstract : The main purpose of this paper is to explore the users’ opinion towards HCL technology, Bangalore library resources and services. A structured questionnaire was personally distributed among 100 HCL library users’ by using convenient random sampling, out of that 60 filled questionnaire were returned accounting 60%. The study reveals that majority45(75%) of respondents are male, about 20(33.33%) respondents are belongs to more than 40 years of age, Users’are satisfied with the services offered by the information center accounting 246(37.27%) respondents opine ‘agree’ and nearly 216(32.72%) respondent’s state ‘strongly agree’. Majority of users’288(95.99%) are fully satisfied with the quality of library staff who render library services. And users’ are not satisfied with collection of CD/DVD, reference books and they are also not satisfied with the printer and scanner facility provided in the library. |

Abstract : The digital library is an information providing service in which all the information resources are available in computer process-able form. The functions of acquisition, storage, preservation, retrieval, access and display are carried out through the use of digital technologies. In this way we can say that Digital Libraries are the systems which provide users with coherent access to a very large, organized repository of information and knowledge. Digital Libraries may be accessed remotely by the users. The retrieval of information from a digital library database is easy and time saving process. INFORMATION LITERACY SKILLS AMONG DEGREE STUDENTS OF MAHAJANA’S FIRST GRADE COLLEGE, MYSORE: A STUDY |

Abstract : The researchers have made an attempt to identify the information literacy skills of degree students of Mahajana’s First Grade College, Mysore. To fulfil the objectives of the study, the researchers have used structured questionnaire to collect required data from the users. All together, 120 questionnaires were distributed to the users of the library and 80 filled up questionnaires were received back with 66.66 percent response rate. The findings of the study show that, more than 77 percent of the respondents visit the library to browse internet, books and news papers are the most frequently used sources of the library and still more than 51 percent of the students consult librarian to find required information in the library. Further, 60 percent of the users of the library search table of contents of a book to find related sources on same topics in the book and 70 percent of the students stated that they consult books to find information already familiar with a subject. |

Abstract : The method developed based on derivatization of formaldehyde with O-(2, 3, 4, 5, 6- pentafluorobenzyl) hydroxylamine to formaldehyde oxime. The final derivative was quantified by using capillary GC column with the help of flame ionisation detection in Head-space gas chromatography. The finalised method was validated and found method is simple, accurate, robust, precise and linear. The method can detect even in the lower concentration around 0.006 ppm and quantification range from 0.02 ppm to 600 ppm levels. |
