Abstract :The study analyzed the usage Internet habits of students of class XI-XII (Science Stream) of KV, Narimedu, Madurai. A total of 50 well-structured questionnaires were distributed among Class XI and XII students. The present study demonstrates and elaborates the various aspects of Internet usage, sources of getting information, about Internet, Web sites, favorite search engines, problems faced by the users in surfing the Internet and satisfaction with Internet for academic purpose. Suggestions have been given to make the Internet usage more beneficial in the school and library.

With the advent of Internet and the digital era, there has been a shift from hard copy formats to digital formats. Accordingly, the collection development policy has been modified to include the digital content in a collection. Abstract :The present study has been undertaken to assess the Marketing of Information Products & Services in the select libraries of ICAR & CSIR Institutions in India. A well structured questionnaire was distributed among the Research Scholars and Scientists of ten Institutions viz, IARI, IASRI, NDRI, CSSRI, CIRB, NISCAIR, CRRI, NISTADS, IMT, CSIO following under the ICAR & CSIR selected research Institutions. The responses were gathered from 599 users (315 Scientists and 284 Research Scholars). The findings of the survey reveal useful facts about the Marketing of Information Products & Services gender wise use the ICAR & CSIR selected libraries, in which male constituting 62.6% than female respondents which were 37.4%. Majority of 25.60% Research Scholars & Scientists were using the offline library weekly, 42.30% occasionally and 16.40% thrice in a week.

Abstract :An analysis was carried out on 837 citations appended to the references section of 45 research articles published in Journal of Knowledge and Communication Management during the period from 2011 to 2014. It was analyzed that journals/ serial publications were almost cited source of information among the library science researchers (52.21 percent). The study also revealed that Journal of Knowledge Management topped the list (5.04 percent) as the most cited serial publication in the field of library and information science.

The overall purpose of the study was to explored information requirements, to know how they access information, problems faced while they seek information and awareness of library services available to them. Findings indicated that 22(26.19%) of the total respondents preferred electronic resources and about 19(22.62%) of the respondents were faced problem as lack of time.

Abstract :The present study examined acknowledgements appearing in the research papers in Journal of American Society of Information Science (JASIST) covering the period 2005-2014. Acknowledgements are further analyzed in order to find out frequency of their occurrence, types, number of acknowledgements per paper, highly acknowledged individuals, and so on. The results show that 341 research papers contain 45 acknowledgements. On an average, each article recorded 3.6 acknowledgements. It is seen that the largest number of acknowledgements are in the financial support 16(23.19%) followed by 14(20.29%) Peer Interactive Communication (PIC)

Abstract :The present study has been undertaken to assess the Information Seeking Behaviour by the Research scholars & Faculty members: A survey of Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra in the disciplines of Social Science. A well structured questionnaire was distributed among the research-scholars and teachers of seven departments viz Economics, History, Political Science, Social Work, Public Administration, Sociology and Psychology following under the Social Science in K.U.K. The responses were gathered from 80 users (25 Teachers and 55 Research Scholars).The findings of the survey reveal useful facts about the Information Seeking Behaviour by Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra. 31.2% of the respondents were mostly using the library for daily while 18.7% were weekly, 12.5% were twice in week and 37.5% respondents i.e. research Scholars & Teachers were using the library occasionally.
