The Grey Correlation Analysis of the Coordinated Development of Education and Economy -Taking Shaanxi of China as an example |
Author : Hui Wang ,Lijie Nie |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :The coordinated development of education and economy is the objective requirement of the
economic and social development. Based on the present situation of education and economic development in
Shaanxi Province, this paper used the grey system theory, and took the statistical data of education and economy
in Shaanxi Province as an empirical calculus, and analysed the relationship between education and economic
development in Shaanxi province. The analysis results show that the correlation coefficient of education and
economic development indicators in Shaanxi is 0.5202, which has a positive correlation and a strong correlation
on the whole. This shows that education investment in Shaanxi is insufficient and cannot fully promote the
development of the economy. |

Abstract :The category of patient involves all human beings-teachers, students, businessmen, housewives,
children and also all of us have a busy hectic schedule. Today’s life is full of responsibilities and stress. So,
people are prone to diseases of different types and it is our duty to make ourselves stay fit and healthy. If the
patient stays at home then he or she might get someone to look after him/her but when one is not at home, is out
of the city or state away from home then it is hard for the family members to call them and remind them their
dosage timings every time. In our developing and technology dependent life we totally rely on gadgets
especially smart phones. Today everyone has a smart phone. With this we get an opportunity to use technology
in a better way so that it can be made useful to us. And it plays an important part in our daily life and helps us
staying fit in many ways. So, we are introducing an ARM7 and IOT application whose objective is to remind the
patients of their dosage timings through Alarm Ringing system so that they can stay fit and healthy. This
application focuses on the people who forget to take medicines on time. It allows users to set an alarm along
with the fields of date, time and medicine description which will allow them to set alarm for multiple medicines
at different time intervals. Medication reminders help in decreasing medication dispensing errors and wrong
dosages. It is life-saving, money saving and time saving application which is easy to use and provides a good
user interface.

Traffic and Admission Clearance for Patient on Ambulance |
Author : Mrs Deepa Patnaik, Thota Mounika, Thakkallapally Mounika, Upadhya Gautami |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Patients in critical condition request for an ambulance. At times up on reaching the hospitals
they are denied of admissions. Patients conditions, address details, contact no’s etc details are provided while
requesting for an ambulance. Though admission process requires only this information lack of connectivity
between ambulance service and the hospitals is the main reason why the patients end up searching for the
hospitals that would allow admission. This Project provides an Ambulance service which is a credible health
care entity that could send messages to multiple hospitals to see which hospitals are willing to provide
admission for the patients. That lets the patient decide which hospital he would prefer to get admitted. The
ambulance driver upon swiping the RFID card in the ambulance would intimate the traffic poles in the route
about the arrival of the ambulance. The message well in advance about the emergency will be transmitted to the
signal poles and green light will be issued for the ambulance. This project belongs to HealthCare domain. The
Technologies used to develop this project are IoT, Android, MQTT, Java Web and the Hardware required to
build this project are Node MCU (2), RFID Scanner, RFID Card, LED Lights, Android mobile |

Modeling the Student Success or Failure in Engineering at VUT Using the Date Band Algorithm |
Author : Langa Hendrick Musawenkosi ,Twala Bhekisipho |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :The success or failure of students is a concern for every academic institution, college, university,
governments and students themselves. This paper presents a model to determine the propensity of a student to
succeed in the Electrical Engineering Department at Vaal University of Technology. Firstly, various machine
learning algorithms which can be used in modelling and in predicting student success or failure are discussed as
well a new algorithm called the date band algorithm. Secondly, the concept of an academic model is also
discussed. This model defines the domain and focus of data used to make preditcions. The academic model consists
of the subject, the lecturer and the sudent each of which has various attributes. One of the attributes discussed in
this paper is the popularity index which is a measure of cohesiveness of the model. The Date Band Algorithm is
presented among others in the development of the model. In this algorithm, predictions are made to optimize the
performance of academic environment, thereby impacting on the choices of funders when they support students. |

Electric vehicles and electric drives of essentially new type |
Author : Aldan Sapargaliyev |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :The principal type of energy for mankind, i.e. for heat and light production infrastructure, for supplying
maintenance of transport and industry work, is the electric power. About 90% of the electric power is produced
by EG (EG – the electric generator), about 60% of which are used from EM (EM – the electric motor). EM (EM
– electrical machines, i.e. EM and EG, currently has two directions of development – as SA-EMn (SA-EMn
separate object of general purpose industrial use, in abbreviated form – SA-EMn) and inside of electric drive OMEM
(OM-EM - electric drive). At the same time depending on convenience of description, the electric drive can
include the operating member of cars or not. Nowadays SA-EM and OM-EM, have substantial drawbacks and
limitations. SA-EM – bulky; material-intensive; having small efficiency, especially widely used medium and low
powered EM. OM-EM – have low energy efficiency. For example, the existing electric vehicles have to carry
approximately 500 kg of accumulators. For cooling of accumulators and electric motors it is used powerful cooling
systems, i.e. much of energy is lost inefficiently |

Requirement Based Intrusion Detection in Addition to Prevention Via Advanced Metering Infrastructure |
Author : Jonisha S/Ap |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :An intrusion detection system (IDS) is designed to monitor all inbound and outbound network
activity and identify any suspicious patterns that may indicate a network or system attack from someone
attempting to break into or compromise a system. IDS is considered to be a passive-monitoring system, since the
main function of an IDS product is to warn you of suspicious activity taking place - not prevent them. An IDS
essentially reviews your network traffic and data and will identify probes, attacks, exploits and other
vulnerabilities. IDSs can respond to the suspicious event in one of several ways, which includes displaying an
alert, logging the event or even paging an administrator. In some cases, the IDS may be prompted to reconfigure
the network to reduce the effects of the suspicious intrusion. The proposed protocol called Password Guessing
Resistant Protocol (PGRP), helps in preventing such attacks and provides a pleasant login experience for
legitimate users. PGRP limits the number of login attempts for unknown users. In additional we propose an attack
detector for cloud spoofing that utilizes MAC (Media access Control) and RSS (Received Signal strength) analysis.
Next, we describe how we integrated our attack detector into a real-time indoor localization system, which is also
capable of localizing the positions of the attackers.
