| Effect of Crude Oil on Permeability Properties of the Soil | Author : Iloeje A. F. | Aniago V. | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The impact of crude oil on the permeability of the soil in a non-oil producing community in Enugu State was investigated using disturbed A-6 (CL) soil sample collected from Ibagwa Nike area of the state. The sample was divided into five (5) portions and each of the four (4) portions was dosed with Bonny light crude oil at 2%, 4%, 6% and 8% by weight of the samples. The physical properties of the uncontaminated soil were tested and analyses and used as control. The aim of the laboratory investigation was to determine the effects of crude oil on the permeability of the soil. The permeability of the uncontaminated soil was found to be 1.2609x10-7. Permeability tests were also conducted on the contaminated soil samples at the various percentage contaminations. The results showed that at 2% crude oil contamination the permeability was 9.6403x10-9, a drastic reduction. The other results were 6.9600x10-6, 2.2621x10-8 and 9.1286x10-8 at 4%, 6%, and 8% contamination levels, respectively. The ranking after contamination is seen to drop within the range of 10-8 and 10-9 showing a change in the permeability due to oil content. This observed reduction in permeability alters the natural groundwater recharge which can be remedied by enhanced bioremediation through aeration of the soil. Iloeje A. | A critical study of fuzzy logic systems and its applications | Author : Deepak Sharma | Sohan Garg | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The idea of fuzzy logic is based close to the human reasoning and regular exercises. It presents predicates which are available in nature and like those either enormous or little. This hypothesis copies human brain science in the matter of how a man settles on the choice speedier. Fuzzy logic is a superset of ordinary (Boolean) logic that has been stretched out to deal with the idea of halfway truth - truth esteems between "totally obvious" and "totally false". It can be actualized in equipment, programming, or a mix of both. It can be incorporated with anything from little, hand-held items to vast modernized process control frameworks. | M2M Networking Architecture for Data Transmission and Routing | Author : Soujanya Ambala | Dr. Srinivas Ambala | Sreedhar Ambala | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :We propose a percolation based M2M networking architecture and its data transmission method. The proposed network architecture can be server-free and router-free, which allows us to operate routing efficiently with percolations based on six degrees of separation theory in small world network modeling. The data transmission can be divided into two phases: routing and data transmission phase. In the routing phase, probe packets will be transmitted and forwarded in the network thus path selections are performed based on small-world strategy. In the second phase, the information will be encoded, say, with the fountain codes, and transmitted using the paths selected at the first phase. In such a way, an efficient routing and data transmission mechanism can be built, allowing us to construct a low-cost, flexible and ubiquitous network. Such a networking architecture and data transmission can be used in many M2M communications, such as the stub network of internet of things, and deep space networking, and so on. | The Influence of Politics over Law Electorates Perception of the Akwa Ibom State Election Petition Tribunal and Court Verdicts | Author : Emmanuel E. Etim | Augustine Akah | Dickson D. Agbaji | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :One of the major factors affecting democracy in Nigeria is the loss of confidence by the masses on the judiciary and its rulings when there is an infringement on individual or collective rights and privileges. This research examines the influence of politics over law specifically electorates perceptions of the Akwa Ibom State election petition tribunal and courts verdicts. The survey research design was utilized in this study for the collection of factual data that are measurable and quantifiable. Data were collected using questionnaires as well as the aggregated observation of the researchers. The study also relied on systematic qualitative content analysis of secondary sources of data. Two hypotheses were generated and tested using Chi square X2 at 0.05 level of significance. This paper argues that the judiciary s handling of the case has been one that shows the pursuit of equity and justice rather than one which clings to the whims and caprices of political juggernaut, and at such, the court decisions have been independent of political preferences. It is recommended that political parties and powerful individuals should refrain from all illegal means to attain public positions which are the basis for election petitions. Also, if a re run election would be conducted, INEC officials are expected to be politically neutral, and security agencies must be on the look out to ensure peace and order. Emmanuel E. They are viz., the Brahmayajña, i.e. the worship of Brahman or knowledge the Devayajña, i.e. the worship of gods the Bhutayajña, i.e. the worship of other beings the Pit yajña, i.e. the worship to ones forefathers the Manu yayajña, i.e. the worship to fellow humans. These above five daily sacrifices are performed very easily by the householders, i.e. Brahmayajña is done by the daily recitation of the Vedic texts, Devayajña is by offering the oblation to gods through Agni Bhutayajña is by giving food and other needful things to the animals, birds, insects etc. Pit yajña is by offering rice pi am or water to the forefathers Manu yayajña is by serving or helping other human being. The performances of these great Pañcamahayajñas have signified the value and ethics of humanity during the Vedic civilization, which are still relevant in the modern society. This research paper is a general study about to know the significance of the five great Vedic sacrifices and their relevance in the modern society and a comprehensive description has been aimed at. Sudha | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The main objective of our project is to purify the waste water from the deinking process. Fresh water is nothing but water with less than 500 parts per million of dissolved salts. The industrial waste water treatment is to remove pollutants, remove toxicants, neutralize coarse particles, kill pathogens so that quality of discharged water is improved. In this condition the deinking agent is used to separate and remove the ink from pulp. Ink can be removed through a method called as flotation, in which the ink is first changed into fine particles that are then dispersed. In our project Back flushing filter Auto filter RF3 is used to filter the dust particles from the waste water. Through this deinking process the fresh water get polluted, with the help of primary and secondary treatment the maximum percentage of water is get purified. Rubini. T | Sughi. S | Dr. R. | Study on Properties of Modified Bitumen for Flexible Pavement Construction using Plastic Scrap and Bakelite | Author : Vijay Patil | Nitesh Kushwaha | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The bituminous mix design aims to determine the proportion of bitumen, filler, fine aggregates, and coarse aggregates to produce a mix which is workable, strong, durable and economical. In India, majority of road comprise of bituminous surfaced flexible pavements. Distress symptoms, such as cracking, rutting, etc., are being increasingly caused at earlier stages due to high traffic intensity, over loading of vehicles and significant variations in daily and seasonal temperature of the pavement. Use of fiber waste plastic scrap material with Bakelite in the construction of flexible pavement is gaining importance. The modified bitumen shows better properties desired for road construction like ductility , fire and flash point, penetration, specific gravity. The fiber waste plastic scrap material with Bakelite were heated at 160 180oC and added to the aggregate, was added to bitumen 60 70 at 120 140oC. The fiber waste plastic scrap material with Bakelite aggregate mix were then combined to get the sample for dense bituminous concrete DBC . In fiber waste plastic scrap material with Bakelite modified bitumen the higher marshal stability value is obtained when 4 fiber waste plastic scrap material with 4 Bakelite is added to the mix. We get marshal stability value of 1448 kg for fiber waste plastic scrap material with Bakelite mix and 1186 kg for without fiber waste plastic scrap material with Bakelite mixOptimum binder content reduces When 6 fiber waste plastic scrap material with Bakelite is added 5 in comparison of ordinary bituminous mix 5.5 .Reduce the cost to around Rs. 5000 Km. of single lane road Carry the process in situ Vijay Patil | Nitesh Kushwaha Study on Properties of Modified Bitumen for Flexible Pavement Construction using Plastic Scrap and Bakelite Published in International Journal of Trend in Scientific Research and Development (ijtsrd), ISSN: 2456-6470, Volume-4 | Issue-2 , February 2020, URL: https://www.ijtsrd.com/papers/ijtsrd30209.pdf

| Effect of Work Motivation and Work Environment toward Employee Performance in the PDAM Tirta Malem Kabanjahe | Author : Wieldy Rizky Mangatur Manurung | Montaris Silaen | Syafril Harahap | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Work motivation in organizations is very important because the motivation has an important role in every individual, both in a leader and his subordinates, because this is one of the factors that is relied on in achieving an organizational goal where motivation is related to the strength or drive that is in a person so that it refers to the conditions that cause the diversity of intensity, quality, direction, and duration of work behavior. The work the environment is also one part of the factors that can affect the process of employee performance, where if the work environment of an employee is not good and low employee motivation can certainly lead to low performance results of existing employees in the company, vice versa if the atmosphere a good work environment can certainly create good employee performance results. Therefore, in this study, the authors use work motivation and work environment as independent variables and employee performance as the dependent variable. The population in this study was 115 people and 53 respondents. The method used in this research is quantitative with an associative approach. The technique used in this study is probability sampling with a simple random sampling approach. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to respondents who were PDAM Tirta Malem Kabanjahe employees. Data were analyzed using the validity test, reliability test, the classic assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, t test, F test and test of determination R 2 which is operated by SPSS 16. T test results in work motivation variables obtained t value of 5.530 t table of 2.007 and work motivation correlated with employee performance by 55 so it can be concluded that part there is an influence between work motivation variables on employee performance variables, then t test results the work environment variables obtained t value of 3.582 t table of 2.007 and the work environment correlated with employee performance of 35.6 so it can be concluded that part there is an influence between the work environment variables on employee performance variables. Based on the results of the hypothesis on the results of the F test obtained the calculated F value of 34.442 F table of 3.18 so it can be concluded that the variables of work motivation and work environment together affect the employee performance variables. Test results The coefficient of determination R 2 obtained a value of R Square in 0.579. This means that work motivation and work environment variables affect employee performance by 57.9 and the remaining 42.1 is influenced by other variables not included in this study such as salary, leadership style, work discipline, workload, job satisfaction, awards, and so on. | Working Capital Management and the Financial Performance of Basic Materials Manufacturing Companies in Nigeria | Author : Olaniyi, Ayo R | Nzewi, Ugochukwu C | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The management of working capital involves managing inventories, accounts receivable and payable, and cash. Based on this assertion, this dissertation is to examine working capital management and the financial performance of basic materials manufacturing companies in Nigeria. The objective of the study is to examine the relationship between working capital management and financial performance of basic material manufacturing companies in Nigeria, The study is anchored with Fishers separation theory. The study used ex post facto research design which also known as after the effect research, data analyses of financial information were extracted from the manufacturing companies Financial Statements for the years 2001 to 2015. These statements used to examine how an independent variable, present prior to the study, affects a dependent variable. In order to arrive at the testable conclusion, stratified random sampling techniques were adopted. Ordinary Least Square OLS regression model were used in this research work with the model findings, which revealed that debtors, creditors and inventory has no significant relationship with return on investment of manufacturing companies in Nigeria. The study therefore recommended that managers of basic material manufacturing companies in Nigeria should intensify effort on how to improve the management of debtor as a component of working capital components than creditors and inventories in their industry. | Artificial Bee Colony Based Multiview Clustering ABC MVC for Graph Structure Fusion in Benchmark Datasets | Author : N. Kamalraj | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Combining data from several information sources has become a significant research area in classification by several scientific applications. Many of the recent work make use of kernels or graphs in order to combine varied categories of features, which normally presume one weight for one category of features. These algorithms dont consider the correlation of graph structure between multiple views, and the clustering results highly based on the value of predefined affinity graphs. Artificial Bee Colony is combined to Multi view Clustering ABC MVC model in order to combine each and every one of features and learn the weight for each feature with respect to each cluster separately by new joint structured sparsity inducing norms. It also solves the issue of MVC by seamlessly combining the graph structures of varied views in order to completely make use of the geometric property of underlying data structure. ABC MVC model is based on the presumption with the purpose of intrinsic underlying graph structure would assign related connected part in each graph toward the similar group. Implementation results shows that the proposed ABC MVC model gets improved clustering accuracy than the other conventional methods such as Graph Structure Fusion GSF and Multiview Clustering with Graph Learning MVGL . The results are implemented to Caltech 101 and Columbia Object Image Library COIL 20 with respect to clustering accuracy ACC , Normalized Mutual Information NMI , and Adjusted Rand Index ARI N. | An Experimental Investigation on Incorporation of Fine Aggregate with Glass Powder and Cement with Zeolite to Mitigate Urban Heat Island Effect | Author : Parveen Kumar | Mr. Nitin Thakur | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :An experimental study was done for replacement of glass powder and zeolite to evaluate the effect of urban heat island. All of the concrete sample mixtures carried out the intensified mortar bar test to evaluate the growth of the ASR. Perhaps this is partly related to a smaller glass particle size, the chemical characteristics of bottle as well as the participation of zeolite throughout concrete. Test specimens G20 Z10, GO Z10 and GI0 Z0, reached the power parameters. The G20 Z10 had the maximum resistance characteristics between them. These were found that intensity values with both the rising quantity of glass dust up to 20 per cent dose started to show a declining pattern. The replacing cement to zeolite powder research by up to 10 per cent indicates a tremendous pattern throughout strength properties. Decreased compressive tension, flexicurity and broken tensile strength may be due to reduced adhesion here between smoother surface of the glass particle as well as the cement. A G20 Z10 blend study revealed lower pavement surface temperature, which can also be considered a mitigating technique for urban heat islands. The work discusses stakeholders’ management from stakeholders’ identification and engagement and cultural intelligence from meta cognitive, cognitive, behaviour and motivational intelligence. The problem of poor identification and engagement of stakeholders in the host oil communities prompted the study. The subsequent absent of studies that have looked at cultural intelligence and stakeholders’ management from the indicators as used in this article in the host oil communities in the Niger Delta Region, Nigeria forms the gap the article addresses. The study concludes that being culturally intelligence impact stakeholder management in host oil communities in Niger Delta Region, Nigeria. Based on the conclusion, we recommend that management of oil companies should not just assume that they will always achieve their goals and objectives without identifying and engaging the right stakeholders of these host oil communities if the oil companies indulge in such assumptions crisis will continue to erupt. Furthermore, host communities should on their parts help the organization by providing the right persons that can represents the collective interest of the entire host communities as it is not appropriate for the organization to engage every person that showcase him herself as the community representative. These will not only check fraud and dubious persons from cultivating discord among the host communities and the oil companies but it will rather help their collective effort by promoting a peaceful coexistence. | Libya A Hub of Human Smugglers and Traffickers | Author : Riya Agarwal | Aishwarya Gupta | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :In a world that boasts triumphs of virtual communication, space travel and now, more importantly, the most geographically expansive civil rights movements in history, the plight of modern day slaves is not a blight but an embarrassment. Zaid M. Belbagi. This paper focuses upon the barbaric social, economic and political conditions within Libya exposing the refugees and migrants to human rights violations. Slave Trade is flourishing in Libya since time immemorial. With Gaddafis departure, control of Libya has fallen into the hands of human traffickers and smugglers who continued his legacy of miseries. Reported Interviews and incidents faced by detainees in the camps asylums are used as prima facie evidence of the cruelty and beastality against mankind. Meanwhile, lack of strict actions and instability on part of internal and external authorities are serving the un ending distress of captives. It also covers the channel of Organ smuggling and trafficking consequently treasuring traffickers and human rights violators. Alongside, extensive roles played by Media channels as undercover investigators and International Organisations curbing out the humanitarian crisis instead exacerbating the rampant slave trade, are covered. This paper concludes with affirmative suggestions which can eradicate slavery and other human rights violations from Libya freeing it from dire straits. | An Overview of Emergency Call Systems Used in Highway Vehicles | Author : Atilla Ergüzen | Ahmet Özcan | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The number of vehicles participating in road transport worldwide is increasing every year. It is estimated that there are currently 1,400 billion vehicles on the road around the world. Since new vehicles are added to traffic every day around the world, an exact figure cannot be given. In Turkey, hundreds of thousands of vehicles participate in traffic every year. As the number of vehicles increases, the number of traffic accidents also increases. In 2020, there were about 150 thousand traffic accidents with deaths and injuries in Turkey. It is important to provide first aid to the injured persons as soon as possible after a traffic accident occurred. The location of the accident site has a great impact on the survival rate of the injured persons. In the case of road accidents that occur in the settlement, the intervention of people in the area and calling the emergency services will ensure that first aid accurately is provided in a short time. However, when road accidents occur outside residential areas or in unpopulated areas, the number of fatalities increases. For this reason, emergency call systems in road vehicles are important for the timely provision of first aid. In European Union countries, emergency call systems have been deployed in new vehicles with eCall application since 2007. However, it is known that a large number of older design vehicles are still in use in the European Union, Eastern European countries, Turkey. In this study, the emergency call systems eCall actively used in Turkey and Europe are investigated and the situation is determined. | A Case Study on Successful Ayurvedic Management of Heamorrhagic Ovarian Cyst | Author : Dr. Akshata M Pujar | Dr. Shobha B Nadagouda | Dr. Laxmi Metri | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Heamorrhagic ovarian cyst HOC is an adnexal mass formed because of occurrence of bleeding into follicular or corpus luteal cyst. Heamorrhagic cysts are commonly seen in clinical practice. Most of them disappear spontaneously with follow up except in minority of cases in which surgical intervention is stated. The granulosa layer of the ovary remains avascular until the time of ovulation. After ovulation occurs, the granulosa layer quickly becomes vascularized by thin walled vessels which rupture easily, giving rise to a hemorrhagic cyst. The disease Granthi cyst , stimulating the description of Cyst the disease arising due to excessive, uncommon or peculiar and improper growth of cells has been mentioned in Ayurveda, but it can be called as Beejakosha Granthi. Charaka has indicated enuecleation of granthi cyst along with its kosha or capsule in the treatment. A 21 year old female married patient with marrital life 2 years visited OPD of RPK Ayurveda HospitaL with chief complaint of pain in lower abdomen for 1 week along with burning micturition on 6 12 2021, she had also brought her sonography report, diagnosed as a Right ovarian heamorrhagic cyst about 5 5 mm and some blood and urine routine reports along with her. Her LMP is 5 12 2021, its 2nd day of menstraual cycle. The patient had gone to some other physician and advised her of laperocopic ovarian cystectomy. But patient denied for surgery and came for second opinion as has not concieved yet. She is of pitta prakruti When USG done on 6 12 2021, Uterus measure 7.4 3 4.2 cm, Right ovarian heamorrhagic cyst measures 2.4 1.4 cm along with irregular multiple septations, Left ovary silent, POD - Clear. | Credential Harvesting Using Man in the Middle Attack via Social Engineering | Author : Sudhakar P | Dr. Uma Rani Chellapandy | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :With growing internet users threat landscape is also increasing widely. Even following standard security policies and using multiple security layers will not keep users safe unless they are well aware of the emerging cyber threats and the risks involved. Humans are the weakest link in the security system as they possess emotions that can be exploited with minimum reconnaissance. social engineering is a type of cyber attack where it exploits human behavior or emotions to collect sensitive information such as username, password, personal details, etc. This paper proposes a system that helps end users to understand that even using security mechanisms such as two factor authentication can be useless when the user is not aware of basic security elements and make internet users aware of cyber threats and the risk involved. | Urbanization and Crime in India A Temporal Analysis from 1991 to 2011 | Author : Muntazim Ahmad | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Urbanization is social as well as an economic process it is a population shift from a rural agrarian society to an industrialized urban society. It is a result of the movement of rural to urban migration in search of a better quality of life, as well as is an outcome of natural population growth in urban areas. Urbanization is considered an indicator of the socio economic progress of a society. It has been considered by most of the researchers that more urbanized countries are economically as well as socially well developed. In the economic aspect, urbanization is good for the development of a region because it promotes industrial growth and the development of the economy. However, rapid urbanization and expansion of cities as a result of continuous migration have created various problems in Indian cities. From a social point of view, there are several adverse impacts of urbanization crime is one of them, which is recognised as the most negative effect of urbanization in urban areas especially in developing countries. Crime is one of the most contemporary social problems in urban areas of developing countries, and it is directly or indirectly correlated to the unplanned urbanization process. Some special urban characteristics such as size, high population density, heterogeneous population, impersonality, unemployment, urban poverty, and poor quality of life are responsible for the high crime rate in urban areas. The main objective of this paper is to understand some of the general theoretical as well as quantitative perspectives within which the link between urbanization and crime is explained in the best possible way in the context of India from 1991 to 2011. | The Condition of Jamatia Women A Historical Analysis | Author : Madhu Chandra Jamatia | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The paper describes in detail about the conditions of women in historical analysis. As we know that the Jamatia tribe is one of the main tribe of Tripura, having distinct feature of mongoloid origin. They speak kok borok language which is a language of Tibeto Burman family. Jamatias is known for their significant contribution in the Royal Army of Tripura. Jamatia’s were freed from paying different kind of taxes like Ghar chukti tax, Titun and many others for their service in the Royal Army of Tripura. Jamatias mostly concentrated in Udaipur, Amarpur and Teliamura. Sri Rajmala states that the Jamatias were the important fighting tribes of Tripura during the reign of the early kings and formed the hardcore of royal army, it is known that among the Hill subjects of Tripura, Jamatia were the fighiting caste. They, in the olden days, used to work in the army of the king of Tripura. The army constituted by them called ‘Jamat’, and from the word Jamat, they, later on, came to be known as Jamatias. The Jamatias were, “ kailash Chandra singha writes, “one of the pure branches of Tripuris. B.C. Allen also calls them the fighting caste of Tripura1.In the context of Omesh saigal holds the view that Jamat in urdu means an assemblage of persons. The former rulers of Tripura used to recruit his army from a class of tribals who were not only warriors but also had proved their loyalty to him. A fair proportion of his armed forces were drawn from amongst the Jamatias who formed a group in his army, and it was from this fact that they derived their clan name2.The Jamatia believe that the term Jamatia is derived from the word jama an Arabic word which means tax and twia a kokborok word which means not to bear the burden of . So the word Jamatia means persons who do not bear the burden of taxes. They hold the opinion that the Jamatias enjoyed these privileges for their military duties3. The opinion of Kali Prasana Sen, the author of Rajmala history of Tripura is almost similar with that of Jamatia themselves regarding the origin of Jamatias. In both the opinions the Jamatias are mentioned as the most important fighting tribes of Tripura as they were recruited as Speicial Armies and posted permanently in border areas to protect the kingdom from raiders and invaders4.In fact, this research paper will represent the conditions of Jamatias women in historical perspective. Prior to the modern era, the condition of Jamatias women is so pathetic. They were neglected from pursuing education and preferred to get married at the early age. They were confined to the house as domestic servant and they looked after their children for special care. From the long past, they engaged in different task such as shifting cultivation, weaving of thread, animals breeding, cooking, collection of firewood, raising of crops, home made liquor etc. Earlier women were completely dominated by men in every field and also the women have to act as per the men because men hold the important position in the family. Hence, the birth of men is welcomed by all the family members. Therefore, they held the responsible to take the major decisions in the family. But with the passage of time, the condition of women is improving to a greater extent. Yet, they got liberation from any kind of barriers. Therefore, now, they were having a great opportunity to grab all the benefits as equivalent to men. This paper will make a critical analysis on the conditions of women and how far they improve their life style in day to day life. This paper will compare the conditions of women from then and now. | Conflict Management Styles of School Administrators of Rural State Universities in Samar Island, Philippines | Author : Dr. Maiden Grace Anquilo Gan | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :This study aimed to determine the conflict management styles of school administrators of rural state universities in Samar Island, Philippines. Majority of the school administrators perceived themselves together with the faculty and non teaching staff as avoiders. School administrators think that conflict should be avoided in favor of harmony and that conflicts may damage the harmonious relationship of the group. They are afraid that if the conflict continues, someone will get hurt and the relationship will ruin. Thus, avoiders stay away from the issues over which the conflict is taking place and from the persons they are in conflict with. With the null hypothesis being not rejected, it can be concluded that school administrators, faculty and non teaching staff shared the same views as to the avoider conflict management style. However, since there was a significant difference between the perception of the school administrators and the faculty and non teaching staff on the school administrators’ compromiser, accommodator, controller, and collaborator conflict management styles, then it showed that these respondents have varying perceptions over the conflict management styles manifested by school administrators. | Responsible Tourism A Need of Tourism and Hospitality Industry Post Covid 19 | Author : Mr. Abhimanyu Awasthi | Mr. Akshay Nain | Mr. Abhishek Roy | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Covid 19 has played a devastating role in the tourism and hospitality industry. Since the inception of the pandemic caused by covid19, the hospitality, and tourism industry has suffered a lot of loss due to a decline in arriving tourists, visiting hotel guests, aviation operations, and various government strategies which were meant to control the spread of the virus also contributed to the loss of tourism and hospitality industry where we saw lockdown, social distancing, home quarantine, etc as some of the measures for the same. This, in turn, has impacted the hospitality and tourism industry by causing a dip in their revenues and incurring losses making many of the employees jobless. On the other hand, we also witnessed an excessive spike in online transactions comprising ordering of food, groceries, medicines, etc. more than before the pandemic. This certainly created hope for the food operators and created light of hope for the tourism industry too. Being hygienic and safe apart from virtual and digital became the new normal post covid19. Covid19 also made us realize while we all stayed at home most of the time, about the importance of nature, atmosphere, the upkeep of the environment, etc. as a new way of looking at our society and life at large. In this article, the researcher will attempt to explore the various effects of a pandemic on the tourism and hotel industry on their operations causing the possible novel ways of maintaining the businesses of tourism and hotels to post covid19. The researcher will also attempt to gather the data with the help of a critical literature review from quality research items, reports, articles, and journals available online. For the same purpose, the researcher proposes to use google scholar as one of the prime search databases among others for the data collection. The research article intends to explore and discuss novel views and ways that became a need of the tourism and hospitality industry post covid 19. | Evaluating Effectiveness of Training Program in Eastern Samar State University - Can Avid Strengthening its Commitment to Continuous Improvement | Author : Dr. Bernadette R. Barro | Aldrin B. Golondrina | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The accountability issue of training and development among employees is evaluating the effectiveness of a training program in order to determine whether it accomplishes its goals and objectives, appraise the value of training, identify training gaps and to get rid of any training that isnt necessary. In this descriptive study, the effectiveness of training program of this university campus is evaluated in terms of faculty participants and the department heads viewpoints. Using an adapted and modified training effectiveness questionnaire, the faculty’s perceived learning right after the activity, application of knowledge and skill acquired three months later, and the department head’s evaluation of the faculty’s demonstrated learning in terms of its impact on job behavior and job performance were taken into account. Results show faculty participants “agree” that the activity courses have achieved their individual objectives, they have acquired deeper understanding about the subjects of the training program, and their performance level will rise as a result of their attendance to the training. Further, they “agree” that the TSPs have the full readiness to perform the activity courses, the resource persons are experts within the area of competence, the facilities were equipped with the highest quality standards. In terms of impact on their job performance and their application of learning three months after the conclusion of the activity courses, faculty participants “somewhat agree” they had the chance to make the best use of the skills they have learned from the activity courses and their job performance level have increased as a result of their attendance to the activity courses. Meanwhile, the department heads “somewhat agree” they have noticed an increase in the faculty’s performance in the workplace since their attendance to the training and they have noticed indicators that proved faculty participants benefited from the acquired skills in the training. The top two reasons why faculty failed to apply the knowledge and skills learned in the capability trainings are “they havent had the opportunity” and “they are very busy”. Dr. Bernadette R. The United Nations International Children’s Education Fund UNICEF defines life skills based education as basically being behaviour change or behaviour development. Generally the term life skills refers to a group of psycho social and interpersonal skills which can help people make informed decisions, communicate effectively, and think critically. Life skills are empowering skills that enable people to cope with the changes and challenges of life. Strengthening life skills helps students to meet the challenges and risks, maximize opportunities and solve problems in co operative, non violent ways. At present life skill education may appear as a very important non pharmaceutical instrument to fight against COVID 19. In the light of this, people are becoming habituated with this new normal situation owing to pandemic with their basic skills of life and knowledge and it can be done in a very systematic manner through life skill education. The entire globe is going through the under crisis, Where the unemployment, lack of job security, anxiety, mental Illness, etc. due to the COVID 19 pandemic. This new challenge requires immediate and effective responses from a socially responsible system of education. However, it has been felt that life skills education bridges the gap between basic functioning and capabilities. It strengthens the ability of an individual to meet the needs and demands of the present society and helps in dealing with the above issues in a manner to get desired behavior practical. | A Review Migraine | Author : C Andly Chedrick | D N Ashritha | Harini R | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Headache disorders are among the most common nervous system ailments, which are characterized by persistent headaches. Headache is a severe and disabling symptom of a few major headache disorders, including migraine, tension type headache, and cluster headache. Migraine is caused by spontaneous over activity and aberrant amplification in pain and other, primarily sensory, pathways in the brainstem. The current consensus is that the cause is predominantly neurological. According to current knowledge, a basic neuronal malfunction causes a series of intracranial and extra cranial alterations that cause migraine, comprising the four phases of premonitory symptoms, aura, headache, and postdrome. The effective diagnosis and treatment may help the patient improve in their quality of life and help to achieve an optimal therapeutic outcome. The scope of this review is to describe Migraine, types, etiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, pharmacological treatment, non pharmacological treatment, and its prevention. | Spirituality in Ghanaian Politics The Paradox of Curses and Prophecies | Author : Gabriel Dei | Prof. Lawrence Lowell | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Globally, politics and religion and for that matter spirituality have co existed throughout history in different forms and at different levels. In Ghana, spirituality in politics in general and elections in particular is not only becoming rampant but it is also assuming a peculiar dimension. What is probably unique is the fact that spirituality in politics has manifested itself in the form of uncontrolled curses according to traditional religion and unrestrained prophecies in the outcome of election results. The objective of this research article was to look at the implication of this phenomena on governance in Ghana. Qualitative research method was used and the main data collection instrument was questionnaire one on one oral interview of governance experts and opinion leaders. The conclusion drawn was that prophecies in elections can ironically be dangerous to our democracy since it raises question mark on the legitimacy of government. It also has the potential not only to create political instability but also to kill the faith of Christians who believe in prophecies. On the issue of curses, the article concluded that if it is institutionalized and expanded it could go a long way to help in reducing corruption and abuse of office by public office holders. | A Study on Design and Analysis of Precast Box for Road Bridge Construction using STAAD Pro Review | Author : Sandeep Salve | Prof. Afzal Khan | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Transportation always plays an important role in economic growth and globalization for a country. Road transportation is one of the main transporting way in India. Therefore it requires connectivity of cities. Hence bridges and culverts are constructing to connect Roads.Box Culvert can be defined as a structure having box shape which is constructed below the embankment to drain water from one side of the bank to the other side of the bank. Failure reasons of a Box Culverts are maintenance failure, erosion and increase in scour depth, and Installation Failures. To improve the problems occurring in the Structure are described briefly. Box Culverts are normally constructed without RCC cut off and curtain walls. Due to which structure gets damaged easily. In previous researches Box Culvert are constructed with PCC cut off and curtain walls while taking various parameters in design. Movements of people and transportation will not be affected because structure will not be constructed number of times because life of structure will be very long. Seepage pressure is less in box culvert with RCC Cut off and curtain walls because the gripping in RCC structure is good as compare to PCC Structure, and Seepage pressure is directly proportional to voids that makes PCC structure unstable against seepage pressure. BM of PCC walls is also less than as compare to RCC walls. Life of structure will also increase around two times, and also Government planning will not be affected because project will be for long time period. In designing of structure the two major factors should be kept in mind i.e. economy and safety. If the load is overestimated than the structure will be uneconomical whereas if the load is underestimated the safety of structure will be compromised. Hence the calculation of load and their combination should be done very precisely The study included estimation of PCC and RCC Cut off and Curtain walls through comparative results in SOR 2017. | Integrated Management of Neonatal and Childhood Illness Strategy An Approach for Hypothermia in Newborns | Author : Ms. Mansha Singh | Mrs. Minu S. R. | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Every 1000 children born do not live to be five years of age of note, 70 of all deaths in children can be attributed to easily preventable and treatable diseases namely ARI Acute respiratory infections mostly pneumonia , Diarrhoea, Measles, Malaria, Malnutrition and Anaemia, and Tuberculosis. Often children succumb to a combination of these conditions with most children presenting in health facilities with the combined signs and symptoms of more than one disease. Evidence for various assessments has shown that many of these children are not comprehensively assessed, treated and given the appropriate advice. Recognizing the need to improve on the care of these children, WHO and UNICEF developed the Integrated Management of Newborn and Childhood Illnesses IMNCI strategy which emphasizes on integrated case management of the most common childhood diseases. Kenya in the year 2000 adopted the IMNCI strategy and evaluation1. Ms. Mansha Singh | Mrs. Minu S. R. | A Low Power Solution to Clock Domain Crossing | Author : Dhatrish Tewari | Mamta Khosla | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Because of the increased complexity of designs in recent years, we now have multiple components on a single chip that employ independent clocks, meaning that these clocks are not synchronized. As a result, problems with Clock Domain Crossing will occur, which, if not resolved, will proliferate and destroy the entire chip. Data crossing clock domains can cause a variety of problems, including as metastability and data loss, which can lead to the device failing completely. To overcome the clock domain crossing concerns, this work presents a dual flip flop synchronizer that employs TSPC logic and is based on the SOI technology. TSPC synchronizer when implemented in SOI technology gives outstanding results. It improves the rise time by 46.15 , the fall time by 28.57 , dissipates 24.23 less power, power delay product by a huge margin of 59.20 when compared to its bulk CMOS counterpart. When implemented on a chip, it also takes up the least amount of space. All the circuits are designed in DSCH and simulated in Microwind software. | Invitro Evaluation of Antibacterial Activity of Honey against Wound Pathogen | Author : J. Ishwarya | R. Ellammal | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The medicinal importance of honey has been documented in the worlds oldest medical literatures, and since the ancient times, it has been known to possess antimicrobial property as well as wound healing activity. The healing property of honey is due to the fact that it offers antibacterial activity, maintains a moist wound condition, and its high viscosity helps to provide a protective barrier to prevent infection. Its immunomodulatory property is relevant to wound repair too. The antimicrobial activity in most honeys is due to the enzymatic production of hydrogen peroxide. However, another kind of honey, called non peroxide honey viz., manuka honey , displays significant antibacterial effects even when the hydrogen peroxide activity is blocked. Its mechanism may be related to the low pH level of honey and its high sugar content high osmolarity that is enough to hinder the growth of microbes. The medical grade honeys have potent in vitro bactericidal activity against antibiotic resistant bacteria causing several life threatening infections to humans. Thus, identification and characterization of the active principle s may provide valuable information on the quality and possible therapeutic potential of honeys against several health disorders of humans , and hence we discussed the medicinal property of honeys with emphasis on their antibacterial activities. But this idea seems inaccessible, for in our school environment numerous pupils who find difficulties in learning, be it on the employment of metacognitive knowledge as well as in their autonomy. It is this reality that inspires us to ask the main question in these terms does metacognitive knowledge influence autonomy in the learnings of students The answer to this question has helped to have the general hypothesis that follows metacognitive knowledge influences autonomy in learnings of second cycle students of Ouro Tchede high school. As such, to support our hypotheses, we have convoke four theories the theory of mental activity management, the theory of gaining of consciousness, the theory of identity building and the theory of auto determination. The method used is quali quantitative. The questionnaire and interview guide had been used to respectively collect data from 195 selected students from the stratified sample technics and 07 teachers. Data collected had been treated with the help of SPSS software in its 20.0 version while their analyses is been done thanks to content analysis and simple linear regression test. At the end of the said analysis, metacognitive knowledge significantly influences autonomy in learnings of Ouro Tchede high school students. | Use of Constructed Wetland Systems for Greywater Treatment A Review | Author : S. G. V. D. H. Gunasekara | D. M. S. H. Dissanayaka | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Constructed wetland systems CWs can be considered the most promising and sustainable alternative for wastewater treatment in different parts of the world. There is an enormous potential for the application of CWs in developing countries. However, the use of CWs for greywater treatment is still underutilized in developed countries, and it is almost not popular in developing countries where greywater treatment and recycling can be advantageous. The removal mechanisms, including microbial degradation, phytoremediation, phytoextraction, sedimentation, adsorption, filtration etc., can be identified within the CWs. Subsurface CWs can be considered a viable alternative since tropical countries have a year round conducive climate for rapid biological growth. Vertical flow CWs have been identified as the effective type of wetland for removing TSS, BOD and TN efficiently, while Horizontal flow CWs have been recognized as the better option for removing TP. The performance of CWs in terms of TN, TP and COD removal is significantly affected by several limiting factors prevailing in the temperate climate. Providing insulating materials, identifying most suitable macrophytes, introducing a zeolite tank for the further purification process of the effluent and incorporating the greenhouse structures can be used to improve the performance of CWs in the temperate regions. | Development and Analysis of Enhanced Image Inpainting Approach | Author : Yogita | Shalini Bhadola | Kirti Bhatia | Rohini Sharma | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Inpainting is a restoration technique that involves filling in damaged, degraded, or missing areas of artwork to create a full image. Oil or acrylic paints, biochemical photography prints, sculptors, and digital photos and video are all examples of physical and digital art mediums that can be used in this process. We have developed a model which in paint a corrupted image using three different sparse representation based approaches. We have used K SVD Singular Value Decomposition, ORTHOGONAL MATCHING PURSUIT OMP , and Delaunay Triangulation based Interpolation. It has also become apparent from the results that inpainting on natural images appears decent when not requiring too big patch size. As the patch sizes increase, to be able to cover large masked areas, the reconstruction will be smoother. There might be useful at times to have an algorithm like this that could be used for smoothing and inpainting simultaneously. However, if the contrast of the image is to be unharmed some other method should be considered. It is therefore concluded that even though sparse reconstructive methods appear impressive at first glance they are lacking when it comes to using large image patches, which is required when it comes to inpainting phase maps. | Assessing the Knowledge on Learning Disability among Mothers of Under Five Children | Author : Ansa Roy | Anupama K B | Aparna P G | Chaithanya Babu | Derin Davis | Karunalakshmi M R | Liz Nixon | Ashmin Jolly | Dr. Lt. Col Rosy K. O | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Recognition and identification of learning disabilities is a daunting task in India due to the vast socio linguistic diversity we see among the population, the pronounced socioeconomic disparities and many other schisms. Whether its the sheer number of languages spoken or the cultures that thrive, whether its the polarity between regions or the differences in ethos, the more diverse and therefore complex a society is the harder it becomes to assess and scrutinise intellectual activity objectively. That we are a developing nation that lives in various stages of industrialization and urbanization simultaneously, ranging from the archaic to the most cosmopolitan, the intellectual disposition of our society and least of all intellectual disability or learning disability to be precise cannot be narrowed down without taking into consideration many factors. Nevertheless, it is inevitable when it comes to research. The estimated prevalence rates of LD in India range widely between 2 and 19 . Considering this fact, a descriptive study was conducted to assess the knowledge of learning disabilities among mothers of under five children at a selected panchayat, Thrissur. The study aimed to associate the knowledge of mothers of under five children with the selected demographic variables. The samples were 60 mothers, selected through purposive sampling technique, who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data was collected using questionnaires regarding learning disabilities and demographic profiles. The setting of the study was Nadathara panchayat, Thrissur. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The study revealed that all the subjects had various levels of knowledge. The results showed that the majority 45 75 had moderate knowledge, 11 18.33 had inadequate knowledge whereas 4 6.66 had adequate knowledge. Analysis showed that there was an association between the level of knowledge of mothers of under five children regarding learning disabilities and their selected demographic variables such as age of mother, type of family and type of delivery. This study concluded that the majority had moderate knowledge. The study helped the mothers acquire knowledge of learning disabilities through the information booklet that was distributed among the subjects.
