| Role of Financial Institutions for the Development of Women Entrepreneurship in India | Author : Dr. N. Rajendhiran | M. Kousalya Devi | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Entrepreneurship as an factor of economic development is now recognized. A number of financial institutions provide support to women entrepreneurs for their innovative and imaginative scheme of activities aimed at skill development for income and employment generation in different sectors. Besides, the society should also facilitate the growth of women by recognizing their talents and abilities. There has been a substantial growth in womens involvement in the economic activities all over the world over the past few decades. For this both the government and non-government agencies have to play a vital role. Despite the efforts of governmental and non-governmental organizations, the women entrepreneurs are facing many problems. It has been pointed out by many research studies that more than 70% of the problems faced by the women entrepreneurship are related with credit. Financial institutions have historically viewed women entrepreneurs as more doubtful preposition than men entrepreneurs.Today there is a greater development among women. If given the opportunity, they will deliver the outcome. It is therefore essential to encourage educated young women to entrepreneurial streams with financial, technical and scientific assistance. Hence, an integrated approach is necessary for making the movement of women entrepreneurship a success. Governmental and Non-governmental organizations should make more focused and directed efforts, and initiate specific programmes for women entrepreneurship development. Entrepreneurial development programmes should train, motivate, enhance and shape-up individual skills of women having market potential. The EDPs and MDPs can become a vital link for harnessing huge and unused human skills to channelize them towards accelerating the gender mainstreaming and position women entrepreneur on equivalence with men entrepreneurs. | A review on Machine Learning Techniques for Neurological disorders estimation by Analyzing EEG Waves | Author : Vijaykumar Janga | Prof. E Sreenivasa Reddy | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :With the fast improvement of neuroimaging data acquisition strategies, there has been a significant growth in learning neurological disorders among data mining and machine learning communities. Neurological disorders are the ones that impact the central nervous system (including the human brain) and also include over 600 disorders ranging from brain aneurysm to epilepsy. Every year, based on World Health Organization (WHO), neurological disorders affect much more than one billion people worldwide and count for up to seven million deaths. Hence, useful investigation of neurological disorders is actually of great value. The vast majority of datasets useful for diagnosis of neurological disorders like electroencephalogram (EEG) are actually complicated and poses challenges that are many for data mining and machine learning algorithms due to their increased dimensionality, non stationarity, and non linearity. Hence, an better feature representation is actually key to an effective suite of data mining and machine learning algorithms in the examination of neurological disorders. With this exploration, we use a well defined EEG dataset to train as well as test out models. A preprocessing stage is actually used to extend, arrange and manipulate the framework of free data sets to the needs of ours for better training and tests results. Several techniques are used by us to enhance system accuracy. This particular paper concentrates on dealing with above pointed out difficulties and appropriately analyzes different EEG signals that would in turn help us to boost the procedure of feature extraction and enhance the accuracy in classification. Along with acknowledging above issues, this particular paper proposes a framework that would be useful in determining man stress level and also as a result, differentiate a stressed or normal person/subject. | Power Quality Improvement in Power System using UPFC | Author : Navneet Kaur | Gagan Deep Yadav | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Occurrence of a fault in a power system causes transients. To stabilize the system, Power System Stabilizer (PSS) and Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) are used. Load flow analysis is done to analyze the transients introduced in the system due to the occurrence of faults. The Flexible Alternating Current Transmission (FACTS) devices such as UPFC are becoming important in suppressing power system oscillations and improving system damping. The UPFC is a solid-state device, which can be used to control the active and reactive power. This paper considers a power system as a case study for investigating the performance of UPFC is achieving stability. By using a UPFC the oscillation introduced by the faults, the voltage deviations and speed deviations can be damped out quickly than a system without a UPFC. The effectiveness of UPFC in suppressing power system oscillation is investigated by analyzing their voltage deviations and reactive power support in this paper. A proportional integral (PI) controller has been employed for the UPFC. It is also shown that a UPFC can control independently the real and reactive power flow in a transmission line. These attacks occur, when an attacker uses a web application to send malicious code in the form of client side script. These scripts exploit the vulnerabilities in the code and resulting in a serious consequence like theft of cookies, passwords and any confidential user data. In extreme cases, the user may have lost his/her control on the browser. In this paper, we explained detection, and prevention of Cross Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability attacks through a systematic review process. | A Reconfigurable High Speed Dedicated BISR Scheme for Repair Intra Cell Faults in Memories. | Author : Amgoth Srinivas | Dr. A. Balaji Nehru | Ms V. Sumathi | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Shrinking process technology has the advantage of lower area of Integrated Circuits (I.C s). This has allowed adding more hardware (features) to existing circuits and enhancing the existing features, Example: - adding more cores to a micro-processor or increasing the resolution of the Video processing hardware of a mobile phone, etc. Execution of complex algorithms need more local memories (SRAMs) embedded in the hardware. As memories are densely packed structures compared to logic (gates and flip flops) the probability of fault occurrence in memories is higher. Thus, adding more complex logic has increased the probability of fault occurrence in ICs and thus decreasing the yield. In this paper we present a Reconfigurable Built in Self Repair (Re-BISR) technique to repair the faults in embedded memories. We also employ Error Correction Codes (ECC) to repair single bit faults in memories. Both the above techniques combined allow us to repair the faults and thereby increasing the yield and reliability of an IC. Re-BISR can repair the faults of several memories in an IC and thus has lesser hardware overhead compared to a dedicated BISR scheme where each RAM has a dedicated BISR module. However, Re-BISR is considerably slower compared to dedicate BISR as RE-BISR operates serially on each memory. Future version of Re-BISR contains a programmable MBIST scheme to accommodate several March algorithms and also include virtual blocks for redundant memories to increase the repair rate. We implement the project using Xilinx ISE tool for simulation and synthesis and the code is written in Verilog HDL. Amgoth Srinivas | Dr. A. Balaji Nehru | Ms V. | Diabetic Foot Ulcer and Treatment: A Review of Progress and Future Prospects | Author : Dr. Elton Mathias | Dr. Roveena Goveas | Madhu Srinivas Murthy | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Chronic non-healing ulcers are a significant medical problem and the incidence of these wounds is expected to increase as the United States population ages. It was projected that approximately 1,400,000 diabetics in this country alone would suffer from Diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) in 2015. The three major challenges in the medical management of DFU are 1) reduction of microbial infection both directly and through enhancement of a productive immune response, 2) restoration of a constructive wound healing microenvironment, and 3) induction of sufficient revascularization. A recent European study showed that approximately 28% of patients with infected DFU required amputations. Although the data are challenging to interpret due to the wide range of disease severities included in the analyses, standard therapies only cure approximately 30% of DFU after 20 weeks and at best advanced modality therapies achieve ~56% healing at 12 weeks. The increasing prevalence of chronic non-healing ulcers poses significant clinical challenges to wound care, often requiring the use of potent antibiotics with undesirable side effects on wound healing. However, no current product addresses both infection and closure of chronic non-healing ulcers. There is an unmet medical need for alternative products assessed by randomized, controlled trials with well-defined and controlled manufacturing processes for the treatment of chronic cutaneous ulcers. The present review emphasizes on development of the next generation of therapeutic skin substitutes which promote wound closure. | The Guilt Full Morality: A Study on the Consciousness of the Protagonists of Fyodor Dostoyevsky with Reference to Crime and Punishment | Author : Shikha Dutt Sharma | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :A convolution of complexity , the human mind is stretched beyond ones understanding. Various theories and philosophies have been developed to attempt the exploration of it. In literature , many writers have endeavoured on this path of exploration and the works of Fyodor Dostoyevsky has been regarded as the most lucrative of it all ( Ewald,2011). The novels of Dostoyevsky probes in to the consciousness of a human being and portrays the hidden complexities ( Uwasomba,2010 ). The current study has selected Dostoyevskys crime and punishment to explore the consciousness of the human mind through its protagonists with reference to the theme of criminality. With crime and criminality being the central theme the study aims to explore the crime in the novels and the effect it has on the protagonists. To carry out a deeper exploration of the consciousness of the protagonists of Fyodor Dostoyevsky with reference to the theme of criminality. To assess the impact of crime, in order to analyse the psychological transformation of the protagonists. The psychological approach is rooted in the idea that literary works are the reflection of experiences and it assists in the understanding the problems that are caused by experiences. The struggle in mind the mental instability how poverty ,prostitution and alcoholismstronglymanifested in the society also appends to a complex psychological and mental state of the criminals mind. The theme of alienation depicted in crime and punishment by Dostoyevsky the theory he contrives that humans are separated into two categories: ordinary and extraordinary. According to which individual belonging to extraordinary such as NapoleonBonaparte -( the personage he refers to as an example of extraordinary) working for a more progressive or higher cause do not come under the dictum that apply to ordinary people. The protagonist of the novel tries to verify that he belongs to the former class, the class of extraordinary . The explanation or theory which he has contrived makes him immune to any kind of regulationor law that society imposes. The novel has hues of existentialism , nihilism and Freudian philosophies to it suggesting strongly the meaninglessness of the world. Commitment of crime is voluntary but punishment for the crime is compulsory. Crime is always followed by the punishment. | Multi-Joint Robot Transfer System in Three Dimensional Space | Author : Chelluru Venkata Surya Rajesh | Narise Venkatesh | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Transfer system in three-dimensional space, the use of multi-joint robot arm provides much flexibility. To realize quick point-to-point motion with minimal sloshing in such system, we propose an integrated framework of trajectory planning and sloshing suppression. The robot motion is decomposed into translational motion of the robot wrist and rotational motion of the robot hand to ensure the upright orientation of the liquid container. The trajectory planning for the translational motion is based on cubic spline optimization with free via points that produces smooth trajectory in joint space while it still allows obstacle avoidance in task space. Input shaping technique is applied in the task space to suppress the motion induced sloshing, which is modeled as spherical pendulum with moving support. It has been found through simulations and experiments that the proposed approach is effective in generating quick motion with low amount of sloshing. In an extension to the work by Jones (2007), this study attempts to understand the role of dyadic influences on gaining employee commitment. The purpose of this paper is to understand the roles that work relations i.e. relationship with the manager and relationship with co-workers play in the employees commitment to change. The leader-member exchange (LMX) theory is used to understand the dynamics of the relationship between the manager and the employee. The LMX theory and the change management are integrated to understand the interaction between the two. To understand the impact the co-workers have, their opinion on the change as well as the influence of quality of the relationship with the co-worker was measured. Commitment to change was divided into: affective, continuance, and normative commitment to change. Responses were collected from 150 respondents who has recently experienced significant changes in their workplace. The results have shown that the employees relationship with the manager has a significant influence on the affective and normative commitment to change but not on the normative commitment of the employees. On the other hand, the quality of the relation with the co-worker and commitment to change are positively related and when the relationship is good the opinion of the co-worker is related to commitment to change. Thus, this paper shows the importance of relationships in the workplace on gaining employee commitment to change. | Role of Green Economy in the Context of Indian Economy | Author : Bhajan Chandra Barman | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :After the unprecedented deterioration of our global environment, the world has decided to adopt global green economy concept with the objective of reviving the world economy, saving and creating jobs, and protecting vulnerable groups, promoting sustainable and inclusive growth, reducing risks from carbon dependency and ecosystem degradation and the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs,2000). Green Economy is defined as one that results in improved human well-being and social equity, while significantly reducing environmental risk and ecological scarcities (UNEP, 2011). The Green Economy is one in which the vital linkages among the economy, society, and environment are taken into account and in which the transformation of production processes, and consumption patterns, while contributing to a reduced waste, pollution, and the efficient use of resources, materials, and energy, will revitalize and diversify economies, create decent employment opportunities, promote sustainable trade, reduce poverty, and improve equity and income distribution. According to the World Commission on Environment and Development, sustainable development is a development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. The basic objective of this study is to discuss the role of green economy as a tool for achieving sustainable development in India. For our study purpose, we have mainly used secondary data collected from various journals, books and available websites related to green economy and sustainable development. There have been seven sections in our article. Sections- 1, 2, 3 and 4 deal with introduction, review of literature, concept of green economy and sustainable development respectively; section-5 deals with the objective, data and methodology; section-6 deals with green economy for sustainable development; and in section- 7, we have drawn conclusion and recommendations. From the discussion it can be concluded that moving towards a green economy has the potential to achieve development that will meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. It can be suggested that for sustainable development through green economy it is needed active civil society participation. | Coal Oriented Thermal Power Plants in India “ An Evaluation of Atmospheric Emissions, Pollution, and Health Impacts | Author : Shiva Kumar Konne | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Access to electricity is a basic requirement to support a growing economy. Currently coal accounts for 41% of the worlds electricity generation. At approximately 210 GW, India is the 5th largest generator of electricity in the world and will increase in the future. Currently, 66% of this power generation capacity is derived from coal with the vast majority of capacity additions planned the 12th five year plan (2012-2017) includes an addition of 76GW and the 13th five year plan (2017-2022) includes 93GW. Emissions from coal-fired power are responsible for a large mortality and morbidity burden on human health and this paper assesses the health burden of emissions from Indias coal-fired power plants. In2011-12, 111 coal-fired power plants with a total generation capacity of 121GW, consumed 503 million tons of coal, and generated an estimated 580 ktons of particulates with diameter less than 2.5 -µm, 2100 ktons of sulfur dioxides, 2000 ktons of nitrogen oxides, 1100 ktons of carbon monoxide, 100 ktons of volatile organic compounds and 665 million tons of carbon dioxide annually. These emissions resulted in80,000 to 115,000 premature deaths and more than20.0 million asthma cases from exposure to total PM10 pollution in 2011-2012, which cost the public and the government an estimated 16,000 to 23,000 crores of Rupees (USD 3.2 to 4.6 billion). The largest impact of the coal-fi red power plant emissions is felt over the states of Delhi, Haryana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Indo-Gangetic plain, and most of central-east India. The dispersion modelling of emissions was conducted using CAMxEulerian model coupled with plume rise functions for the point sources and meteorological data from the NCEP reanalysis dataset. The analysis shows that aggressive pollution control regulations such as mandating flue gas desulfurization, introduction and tightening of emission standards for all criteria pollutants, and updating the procedures for environment impact assessments for existing and newer plants, are imperative to reduce health impacts. | pH Control in Effluent Treatment Plant using PLC | Author : Chaitra S S | K. P. Shobha | H. Prasanna Kumar | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :In this paper, A few automated processes for a partial automation which can be mostly used in residential areas and industries. It is developed using PLC. It has explained the process of ETP in industries. The process include different parameters like flow, level, pH, DC motor, solenoid valves, pump are controlled by using PLC (Allen Bradley Micrologix 820) and simulated by using software CCW (Connected Component Workbench) . As we know that effluents emitted by industries contains harmful chemicals which could lead to effect on environment and society. So by retreating these effluents could be a blessing in disguise. This process cant be going through using manual process so here we need some automotive tools for that. That is why we make use of PLC (programmable logic controller). PLC is recommended instead of other automation devices because of its versatility, robustness, reprogrammable nature and many other significant features. Chaitra S S | K. P. Shobha | H. | An Analysis of Dual Band bandpass Filters using with Arbitrary Band Ratios | Author : Payal Jindal | Dr. Sudheer Kumar Sharma | Dr. Rashid Hussain | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :This paper proposes the variable reflection angle of meta surface composed of the double layered FSS (Frequency SelectiveSurface) and the ground. The meta-surface can steer the reflection direction of the incident wave by shifting the lower FSS. It is clarified that the gradient of the reflection phase in the reflection direction steering plane (x-z plane) are changed by the shift amount of lower FSS. A miniaturized dual-band frequency selective surfaces with second-order band-pass response at each operation band is presented. The design is implemented by cascading a two-dimensional periodic array of double square loops and an array of wire grids. The proposed structure composed of three metal and two dielectric layers acts as a spatial dual band microwave filter with large band separation. The predicted FSS has the merits of broadband response, excellent stability for different incident angles, and sharp roll-off at X- and Ka-band, respectively.Key-words:- Dual Band, FSS, steering etc. Payal Jindal | Dr. Sudheer Kumar Sharma | Dr. Rashid Hussain"An Analysis of Dual Band bandpass Filters using with Arbitrary Band Ratios" Published in International Journal of Trend in Scientific Research and Development (ijtsrd), ISSN: 2456-6470, Volume-2 | Issue-1 , December 2017, URL: https://www.ijtsrd.com/papers/ijtsrd7102.pdf https://www.ijtsrd.com/engineering/electronics-and-communication-engineering/7102/an-analysis-of-dual-band-bandpass-filters-using-with-arbitrary-band-ratios/payal-jindal

| Input Based Dynamic Reconfiguration for Low Power Image Processing and Secure Transmission | Author : Jadi Raju | MD. Shabazkhan | G. Laxmi Narayana | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The fields of image and video encoding and compression have been put to a lot of stress with increase in the capacity of Integrated circuits. As technology shrinks, more and more transistors can be put into an I.C and thus the demand for higher resolution images and videos are coming up which need better encryption algorithms. The image and video processing algorithms are very compute intensive and with increase in resolution, the width of the compute elements like adders, etc. increase and this increase the power consumption of the device by several times. Approximate computing can reduce the power consumption as careful approximation does not affect the output quality of the image and video. Fixed levels approximation yield inconsistent quality output for different images and videos. In this project, we propose a dynamic approximation based image processing circuit. We implement an input based dynamically approximate reconfigurable adders and sub-tractors who can adjust their level of approximation dynamically by looking at the input thrown to them and thus, can trade-off between quality and power saving. We implement the code in Verilog HDL and verify the power by using the power estimator in Xilinx ISE tool. The simulation will be demonstrated in Modelsim software. Jadi Raju | MD. Shabazkhan | G. | Activity of soil protease enzyme as influenced by dimethomorph and pyraclostrobin fungicides to groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) soil. | Author : P. Ramanamma | V. Rangaswamy | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Soil microbial diversity is indispensable to maintain functional diversity and enzyme-mediated critical soil processes that detoxify soil from environmental pollutants, like pesticides. Thus, the present study was carried out to assess the effect of different concentrations of the fungicides on the activity of protease, in clay and sandy loam groundnut soils of Anantapuramu District of Andhra Pradesh , India. The use of pesticides in agriculture has highly increased during the last 40 years to increase crop yields. However, today most pesticides are polluting water, soil, atmosphere and food. Pesticides are also impact soil enzymes, which are essential catalysts ruling the quality of soil life. A laboratory experiment was conducted to study the effect of selected fungicides, dimethomorph and pyraclostrobin, at concentrations ranging from 0 to10 kg ha-1 on the activity of protease. The activities of protease were significantly more at pyraclostrobin and dimethomorph levels of 5.0 and 2.5 kg ha-1, respectively. But at higher concentrations of 7.5 and 10 kg ha-1 respectively, dimethomorph and pyraclostrobin were toxic to protease activities. In soil samples receiving 2.5-5.0 kg ha-1 of the fungcides, the accumulation of reducing sugar was pronounced more at 20 days, and the activity of the protease was drastically decreased with increasing period of incubation up to 30 and 40 days. The results of the present study thus, clearly, indicate that application of the Fungicides in cultivation of groundnut, at field application rates improved the activity of protease in soils. | An Analysis and Modeling of Grid Connected Multiple-Pole Multilevel Unity Power Factor Rectifier | Author : Ranjan Kumar Rai | Umashankar Patel | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :In this paper, to improve power factor a simple model based on five levels multiple pole is used. It is also used to improve harmonic distortion and efficiency which is done by using reduced number of component counts. Most of the work has been done to obtain these factors. In this project, 5L-M2UPFR is used which give almost unity power factor. By this method, the unity power factor with input current shaping is obtained with less number of measurement components. This paper uses balanced and unbalanced load condition over which these improved response is obtained. | Remembering the Father of Indian Constitution - Dr. B R Ambedkar and his Role in Framing Indian Constitution | Author : N. Srikanth | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :India gained the status of free and sovereign nation-state on August 15, 1947 after a long struggle and countless sacrifices. It adopted Constitution on November 26, 1949 which came in enforcement on January 26, 1950. It is often considered as one of the gigantic constitutions in the world which establishes a democratic state. The inception of the Indian Constitution in 1950 was a significant event not only in the political history of India but also in the history of social justice and human rights To write about Dr. B.R. Ambedkars role in the making of Indian constitution is to write about the history of the debates held in the constitutional assembly. Dr. Ambedkar wanted to give such a Constitution to India as would help establish a new social order based on the lofty principles of social, economic and political justice. Whenever any question arose about the weaker sections of the society, his heart would go out for them and he would try to secure maximum political advantage and protection for them. This was indeed natural for him because he had fought for the uplift of these sections of society during his entire political career. He never concealed this fact from anyone. In fact, he once acknowledged that he had entered the Constituent Assembly solely to protect the interests of the downtrodden people. Let us now see how some of the articles of the Constitution came to be finally framed by the Constituent Assembly. In this research paper I would like to emphasize mostly on the ambedkars role in constitutional assembly debates while framing of Indian constitution. Here, in my research paper I will point out some most important features of the Constitution, viz. the Preamble, the Fundamental Rights, directive principles, and Art-32. N. | Constitutional Provisions Relating to the Environment and the Impact of PIL in Safeguarding the Environment in India | Author : N. Srikanth | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Environmental protection refers to policies and procedures aimed at conserving the natural resources, preserving the current state of natural environment and where possible, reversing its degradation. The question of Environmental protection is a global issue and it is not an isolated problem of any area or nation. India has enacted various laws at almost regular intervals to deal with the problem of environmental degradation. The Indian Constitution is amongst the few in the world that contains specific provisions on environment protection. The chapters directive principles of state policy and the fundamental duties are explicitly enunciated the nation commitment to protect and improve the environment. At the beginning of the 21st Century environment issues have emerged as a major concern for the welfare of the people. The environmental protection is nota new concept in India it is there in our Vedas. The Indian judiciary adopted the technique of public interest litigation (and judicial activism) for the cause of environmental protection in many cases. The Supreme Court & High Courts shaded the inhibitions against refusing strangers to present the petitions on behalf of poor and ignorant individuals. The basic ideology behind adopting PIL is that access to justice ought not to be denied to the needy for the lack of knowledge or finances. In PIL a public spirited individual or organization can maintain petition on behalf of poor & ignorant individuals - In the area of environmental protection, PIL has proved to be an effective tool. | Lipopolysaccharide promotes the metastatic Potential of Lung Carcinoma Cells by Upregulating the Expression of Fibronectin | Author : Asif Amin | Taseem A. Mokhdomi | Asrar H. Wafai | Raies A. Qadri | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) stimulated TLR-4 mediated signalling has been shown to accentuate the metastasis in a variety of cancers. In a murine mammary cancer model, LPS has been found to trigger lung metastasis. However there are very few studies which report the pro-tumor properties of LPS in lung cancer. In this study we investigated the effect of LPS on Fibronectin induced metastatic progression in human lung cancer cells. Lower concentrations of LPS exhibited a pro-proliferative effect on A549 cells. Using such concentrations of LPS to stimulate A549 cells, expression of Fibronectin mRNA increased in comparison to control. 0.5 -µg of LPS treatment led to the two fold increase in mRNA expression of Fibronectin. Moreover, LPS stimulation augmented the migratory ability of A549 cells as assessed by wound healing assay. This increase in migration of A549 cells was in agreement with the expression pattern of Fibronectin induced by LPS stimulation. Taken together this study presents a preliminary account of the role of LPS in inducing the expression of Fibronectin and metastatic progression in lung carcinoma. Asif Amin | Taseem A. | Isolation, Identification and β-lactamase detection of Multi-Drug Resistant Acinetobacter species from Patients admitted in Intensive Care Units of Hospital | Author : Silver Panchal | Dr. Gaurav Shah | Niranjan P. Panchal | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Acinetobacter species are ubiquitous, free-living saprophytes, natural habitats are water and soil, and have been isolated from foods, arthropods, and the environment. Acinetobacter species is now a days very important opportunistic pathogen, responsible for the fatal health care associated (Nosocomial) infection with high morbidity and mortality rates. Acinetobacter species infections are more frequent in critically ill patients of intensive care units (ICUs) of the hospital. Such infections are widely increasing because of its ability to develop rapid resistance towards the major groups of antibiotics. That resistance is due to some specific enzymes like extended spectrum ß-lactamase (ESBL), carbapenemase and metallo ß-lactamase. In our study isolation and identification of this fatal pathogen was carried out along with its ß-lactamase detection. Total of 350 samples were studied out of which 99 isolates were obtained over a period of 18 months (July 2013-December 2014). Antibiotic susceptibility testing was done by Kirby-Bauers disc diffusion method with commercially available antibiotic discs on Muller-Hintons agar plates. In our study we found 17% of Acinetobacter species as multidrug resistant (MDR) strains with 57% ESBL positive. Silver Panchal | Dr. Gaurav Shah | Niranjan P. | Multiple Object Detection and Tracking in Dynamic Environment using Real Time Video | Author : Tanuja Kayarga | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Video surveillance is an active research topic in computer vision that tries to detect, recognize and track objects over a sequence of images and it also makes an attempt to understand and describe object behavior by replacing the aging old traditional method of monitoring cameras by human operators. Object detection and tracking are important and challenging tasks in many computer vision applications such as surveillance, vehicle navigation and autonomous robot navigation. Object detection involves locating objects in the frame of a video sequence. Every tracking method requires an object detection mechanism either in every frame or when the object first appears in the video. Object tracking is the process of locating an object or multiple objects over time using a camera. The high powered computers, the availability of high quality and inexpensive video cameras and the increasing need for automated video analysis has generated a great deal of interest in object tracking algorithms. There are three key steps in video analysis, detection interesting moving objects, tracking of such objects from each and every frame to frame, and analysis of object tracks to recognize their behavior. The main reason is that they need strong requirements to achieve satisfactory working conditions, specialized and expensive hardware, complex installations and setup procedures, and supervision of qualified workers. Some works have focused on developing automatic detection and Tracking algorithms that minimizes the necessity of supervision. They typically use a moving object function that evaluates each hypothetical object configuration with the set of available detections without to explicitly compute their data association. | Optimization of Anaerobic Mechanism using Response Surface Methodology (RSM) to treat Pulp and Paper Industry Wastewater : A Review | Author : Ravichandran P | Karthik C | Balaji K | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Optimization plays a key role in environmental engineering parameters since the best system performance mainly is on optimum point or optimum range. The majority of wastewater treatment processes are multi-variable and optimization through the classical method is inflexible, unreliable and time-consuming. Thus, response surface methodology (RSM), as a very efficient design and widely used technique, can be adapted for optimization of various parameters in wastewater treatment processes. RSM is a practical mathematical and statistical tool that can be employed for analyzing the effects of several independent factors on the treatment process in order to obtain the maximum benefit from the process. Recently, several water and wastewater treatment processes have been optimized for treatment different type of wastewaters via RSM including; textile dye wastewater, tannery wastewater, industrial paint wastewater, landfill leachate, olive oil wastewater, and palm oil mill effluent. The present study focuses on the usability and effectiveness of RSM for process parameters modeling and optimization in wastewater treatment studies. In this paper, some of the RSM studies were reviewed in order to verify the usability of RSM and its limitations. | Modelling of Circular Footing on Lateritic Soil | Author : G. O. Adunoye | O. A. Agbede | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :This work modelled circular footing on lateritic soil. This was done by studying the relationship between bearing capacity of circular footing and fines content of lateritic soil. Lateritic soil samples were collected and subjected to laboratory tests, including tests leading to the determination of bearing capacity (using circular footing). Bearing capacity was determined for the natural soil samples. The samples were separated into fines and coarse components and later remoulded in varying proportions of fines: coarse content, from 0:100 in 10% increments. Bearing capacity was computed for all the remoulded soil samples. Regression analysis was then used to determine the relationship between the bearing capacity of circular footing and fines content of the soil. The model was found to be valid for the selected locations. G. O. Adunoye | O. A. | Privacy Preserving Data Mining for Healthcare Record: A Survey of Algorithms | Author : Musavir Hassan | Muheet Ahmed Butt | Majid Zaman | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Due to the wide deployment of sensitive information on the internet, privacy preserving data mining has been studied extensively in recent years. The emerging privacy concern has become a major obstacle in storing and sharing of medical data. The proliferation of medical data can be highly useful, but it must be performed in a way that preserves patients privacy. This is not straightforward, because the proliferated data need to be protected against several privacy threats. Various algorithms have been designed for privacy-preserving data mining that can be classified into three categories i.e., privacy by policy, privacy by statistics, and privacy by cryptography, however, the privacy concerns and data utilization requirements on different parts of medical data may be quite different. In this paper, we present a survey of the state-of-the-art algorithms that have been proposed for publishing medical data in a privacy preserving way. We review algorithms like; Randomization, k-anonymization, and distributed privacy-preserving data mining etc., derive insights on their operation, and highlight their advantages and disadvantages. We also provide discussion of the computational and hypothetical boundaries associated with privacy-preservation over high dimensional data sets. | Performance and Emission Studies of a Diesel Engine Fuelled with Different Jatropha Biodiesel Blends | Author : Alok Anand | N. K Sagar | Abhishek Sharma | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The ever increasing number of automobiles has led to increasing in demand for petroleum fuels. The environment degradation and depletion of fossil fuels are another reason to search the replacement of this fossil fuel. Biodiesel can become an attractive choice because it is renewable, non-toxic, environmental friendly. The objective of the present research work is to investigate the use of Jatropha biodiesel (JB) and fuel derived from pyrolysis of waste tires (WTDL) in diesel engine as a replacement of diesel in certain amount. The JB and WTDL were blended with diesel (5, 10, 15 and 20% by volume) and experiments have been conducted in a single cylinder, four stroke, air cooled diesel engine. The brake thermal efficiency of the blend was found to be lower than diesel. However, hydrocarbon emission and smoke opacity were found to be lower with blend (up to 10%) than diesel operation. The nitric oxide emissions of blend were higher than diesel. In view of comparable engine performance and reduction in most of the engine emissions, it can be concluded that blend which contained 10% JB, 10% WTDL and 80% diesel can be be used as a potential fuel for diesel engine operation without any engine modification. | Production and Productivity of Saffron in Jammu and Kashmir | Author : Ajaz Ahmad Dass | Dr. Sneha v. Deshpande | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Saffron cultivation confined to a limited geographical area in the State of Jammu and Kashmir is under stress reportedly due to cement dust pollution and land use changes. Besides, having tremendous medicinal values, Saffron has traditionally been associated with the famous Kashmiri cuisine and undoubtedly represents the rich cultural heritage of Kashmir. However, Saffron production is currently suffering on several counts; falling productivity and unscientific post-harvest management are the major concerns. Some other factors that are responsible for the decline of saffron industry in Kashmir are, lack of availability of good-quality corms as seed material, poor soil fertility, lack of assured irrigation, infestation by rodents and diseases, poor post-harvest management, improper marketing facilities and increased urbanization on saffron lands. This legendary crop is under threat of extinction and warrants collective attention of researchers, farmers and policy makers. As far as the economics of this crop is concerned, creation of the strong market demand is the biggest opportunity for its revival and needs a consortium of traders and producers to be established at the International level for market assurance and price stability. While the scientific aspect demands more work on genetic improvement and post-harvest technologies. Ajaz Ahmad Dass | Dr. Sneha v. | Sharing the Secured Cloud Storage with Elliptic Curve Algorithm | Author : Nuka Raju Kolli | Dinesh Kumar Y | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Users store vast amounts of data on a big data platform. Sharing data will help enterprises reduce the cost of providing users with personalized services and provide value-added data services. However, secure data sharing is problematic. This paper proposes a framework for secure sensitive data sharing on a big data platform, including secure data delivery, storage, usage, and destruction on a semi-trusted big data sharing platform. At the same time, data owners retain complete control of their own data in a sound environment for modern Internet information security. we present an alternative approach which divides big data into sequenced parts and stores them among multiple Cloud storage service providers. Instead of protecting the big data itself, the proposed scheme protects the mapping of the various data elements to each provider using a trapdoor function. Analysis, comparison and simulation prove that the proposed scheme is efficient and secure for the big data of Cloud tenants. Secured data transmission using elliptic curve cryptography can be defined as transmission of data. This paper proposes an survey about Secured data transmission using elliptic curve cryptography. The main problem in existing system is security issues in transmitting data between source and the destination. After the survey on various literature papers, we are concluding a new way, that increases security considerations for transfer of data and to increment the efficiency using ECC(Elliptic Curve Cryptography). Efficiency and reliability will be increased for each transmission of data, While enclosing the proposed method by using the ECC algorithm which allow itself to encrypt and decrypt the data that is to be transferred and performs the active classification. | Experimental Study on Voided Biaxial Slab and its Application | Author : Snehal Kitture | Nakul Kabra | Hemant Ahire | Jayesh Burad | Swapnil Kate | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Slab is largest member which consumes concrete. If the load acting on the slab is large or clear span between columns is more, the thickness of slab increases. It leads to consume more material such as concrete and steel due to this, self-weight of slab is increased. To avoid these disadvantages voided slab system is used. Reinforced concrete slab with plastic voids is a new and innovative type of construction. It is developed to allow for lighter self-weight of the structure while maintaining similar load carrying capacity of a solid slab. High density polyethylene (HDPE) hollow spheres replace the ineffective concrete from the centre of the slab and decrease the dead load. The advantages are less energy consumption both in production and transport, less emission of exhaust gases from production and transport, especially CO2 and reduce the material, the load, lower the cost and it is also a Green Technology. The Bubble deck slab floor system can be used for storey, roof and ground floor slabs. The effect is to decrease the overall weight by as much as 35% when compared to a solid slab of the same bearing capacity. | Cardiac Nuclear Medicine | Author : Faiz Hashmi | Nikita Sharma | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Nuclear Medicine is a multidisciplinary technology used for diagnostic purpose. Cardiac nuclear medicine imaging is used to determine coronary artery disease and cardiomyopathy. It also may be used to determine whether the heart has been damaged by chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Nuclear medicine uses trace amounts of radioactive materials called radio-tracers or radio-pharmaceuticals that are inhaled, swallowed or injected into the bloodstream. These radio-tracer travels through the area being examined and gives off energy in the form of gamma rays which are detected by gamma camera [1] and a computer to create images of the inside the body based on Artificial Neural Network [2]. ANN (an Artificial Intelligence technology) serves as a tool for detecting and localizing diseases while a radio-tracer travels across the body [2]. About heart ailments diagnosis is done using information contained in myocardial perfusion scintigrams [1]. Nuclear Medicine Imaging can be superimposed with CT or MRI to produce special views so-called co-registration or fusion of images. Nowadays we have the single unit of SPECT/CT and PET/CT that are able to perform both imaging examination at the same time. Artificial intelligence serves as a tool for detecting and localizing coronary artery disease mostly by using information contained in myocardial perfusion scintigrams [12]. The myocardial perfusion images were preprocessed in order to decrease the number of variables and to extract relevant features from the images. This preprocessing was accomplished by a 2-D Fourier transformation that used both rest and stress images[3]. Nuclear medicine imaging provides unique information that often cannot be obtained using other imaging procedures. More business opportunities and profits are waiting to be discovered in other countries. Better understanding and acceptance of different cultures can lead to more effective communication and, ultimately, more success. With globalization it has become important to consider the impact of cultural differences when managing a team. Le Theuff (2005) argued that despite the globalization of the employment market there is no global employee as a result of culture. Intercultural management is a real concept adopted by companies as with globalization companies have to work with other companies all over the world. Any company who would not consider the multicultural dimension of his workforce might lead teams projects to failure (Hofstede, 1993). | Global Warming, Energy and CO2s: Defection Risk | Author : Jan-Erik Lane | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :It is fair to judge that the UNFCCCs COP23 in Bonn this fall ended in nothing. Thus far, there is no implementation plan or set of management strategies for the COP21 TREATY in Paris 2015. Instead, a new reunion has been called for 2018 in Polish Katowice, with its huge coal mines - Poland relies almost to 70 % on coal. At the same time, Germany acknowledges that it cannot cut back coal as promised, but I will close atomic power stations down! Here, we examine the defection option against the COP21 Treaty. Other nations may be tempted by reneging. | A Study on the Role of Supplyco Maveli Store in Retailing with Special Reference to Pudukad Gramapanchayath | Author : Mary T. L | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Retailing in Kerala is subjects too subtle and relevant as Kerala is know of more as a consumer state rather than a producer state. The introduction of Margin Free Markets has turned out to be grand success resulting in it becoming one of the largest retail chains in the country. The Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation (Supplyco), is a statutory body established in 1974. It procures rice, wheat products, sugar, pulses, vegetables and a range of consumer goods independently from the open market and distributes them through a network of 663 retail outlets called Maveli Stores, 11 supermarkets in district headquarters and 21 mobile Maveli vans operating on designated routes. It is a festival that remembers the golden reign of the legendary King Mahabali, during whose reign Kerala is believed to have prospered. Significantly, the Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation (Supplyco), through its Maveli chain of retail stores, has contributed to bringing back those golden days by assuring fair price, quality products and insulation against evil trade practices. Maveli offered a new experience to Keralites, which helped it and Supplyco become household names in no time. Quality products and subsidised pricing are the twin advantages that Supplyco extends to the consumer. This study aims to know the role of Supplyco Maveli store in retailing with special reference to Pudukad Gramapanchayath. Mary T. | Energy Efficient Routing Protocols for Node Distribution in Wireless Sensor Networks | Author : K. Komali | G. Mutyalamma | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Wireless sensor networks comprise of sensor nodes that have constrained preparing ability, little memory and low energy source. These nodes are sent haphazardly and frequently thickly in nature. In observing applications, sensor nodes sense information from nature intermittently and after that transmit them to a base station which is called sink node. In this way information transmission expends nodes energy taking into account transmission separation. In many wireless sensors arranges, the energy wellspring of the node is constrained and cant be minimized. Here, we have proposed the Efficient Energy based Multipath Cluster Routing Protocol for minimizing the energy utilization in WSNs. In multipath routing, system is composed as a gathering of networks. It gives burden adjusting and expanded throughput to the system. As per information transmission component of WSN, we evaluate the forward transmission zone, characterize forward energy thickness which constitutes forward-mindful variable with connection weight. For energy effective transmission in occasion driven WSN, information ought to be decreased. It obliges legitimate directing strategy for solid transmission of collected information to sink from the source nodes. Propose another correspondence convention in light of forward-mindful calculate request to focus next-bounce node and IEAR directing calculation is to decrease the quantity of transmissions and therefore adjusting the energy utilization, drawing out the system capacity lifetime and to enhance QoS of WSN. | A Novel Algorithm for Reduction of Non-Deterministic Finite Automata | Author : G. Mutyalamma | K. Komali | G. Pushpa | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :In automata theory a minimization is the task of transforming a given finite state machine into an equivalent automation that has a minimum number of states. Here, the reduction of Deterministic Finite Automata(DFA) is very simple whereas Nondeterministic Finite Automata(NFA) is complex because which has maximium number of possible paths to reach new states. So a minimal NFA is a primal problem in automata theory. We consider the problem of approximating a minimal NFA or a minimal regular expression. There are several approaches to NFA minimization either without approximation guarantees or running in at least exponential time. Here this paper introducing the new NFA reduction algorithm for the minimization of NFA. This algorithm will reduce number of state transitions of Nondeterministic Finite Automata. NFA reduction algorithm also resolves the complexity of Kameda- Weiner algorithm. This paper shown empirically that this algorithm is effective in largely reducing the memory requirement of NFA minimization algorithm. Reducing the size of NFA by using NFA Reduction Algorithm has been shown to reduce importantly the search time. G. Mutyalamma | K. Komali | G. Mutyalamma | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Presently days there are numerous android applications that mean to discover articles fulfilling both spatial predicate and a predicate on their related writings. In this paper, for discovering closest accommodation a basic arrangement is presented which depends on IR2 tree [1].IR2 tree incorporates couple of insufficiencies that influence its productivity [2]. To build the proficiency another technique called spatial reversed list [1] is presented that extends the standard modified record to address multidimensional data. This new SI file technique accompanies calculations which will answer closest neighbor questions with essential words progressively. As confirmed by trials, this anticipated system performs the IR2 tree in question time response essentially. Customary reflection inquiries, as change hunt and closest neighbor recovery, include singularly conditions on objects geometric properties. Instantly the best determination to such inquiries is predicated on the IR2-tree, which, as indicated amid this paper, highlights a couple of inadequacies that truly effect its power. Incited by this, we have a tendency to build up a substitution access procedure known as the deliberation reversed file that extends the standard altered list to address level learning, and accompanies calculations that may answer closest neighbor questions with pivotal words progressively. As confirmed by examinations, the anticipated procedures outgo the IR2-tree being referred to inert period extensively, ordinarily by a component of requests of greatness. G. Pushpa | G. | Vehicle Safety Speed Controller under Driver Fatigue Using Eye Blink Sensor | Author : Chandra Mohan M | Arivazhagan. A | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Accidents occurred at night time are mainly due to carelessness of human being such as sleepiness. To avoid that we design and develop a control system based on intelligent electronically controlled automotive braking system. It consists of IR transmitter and receiver circuit, control unit, pneumatic breaking system. The IR sensor is used to monitor the eye blink movement. If the eye blink movement varies beyond the normal condition set (3 sec); the IR sends the control signal to the breaking system through electronic control unit (ECU). Thus the pneumatic breaking system is used to break the system and alerts the driver to not sleep. From this accidents can prevent before it occurs. Chandra Mohan M | Arivazhagan. | Designing MATLAB GUI for various Analog and Digital Communication Systems | Author : Mohit Sharma | Subham Sharma | Gaurav Sahu | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :MATLAB is widely used technical computing software. MATLAB provides graphical design tools such as Simulink and Dials. This paper deals in designing modulation and demodulation techniques of various analog and digital communication systems like AM, FM, PM, PAM, PWM, PPM, PCM, ASK, FSK, PSK, MSK, QPSK, BPSK, BFSK, DSB-SC, SSB-SC. A graphical user interface provides a familiar environment to work. This environment contains pushbuttons, toggle buttons, lists, menus, text boxes, and so forth, all of which are already familiar to the user, so that he or she can concentrate on using the application rather than on the mechanics involved in doing things. Many MATLAB products, such as Curve Fitting Toolbox, Signal Processing Toolbox and Control System Toolbox include apps with custom user interfaces. However, GUIs are harder for the programmer because a GUI-based program must be prepared for mouse clicks (or possibly keyboard input) for any GUI element at any time. Such inputs are known as events, and a program that responds to events is said to be event driven. A graphical User interface (GUI) is a system of graphical elements that allow a user to interact with software using mouse application. GUI can also display data in tabular form or as plots, and can group related components. The graphical user interface (GUI), is a type of user interface that allows users to interact with electronic devices through graphical icons and visual indicators such as secondary notation, instead of text-based user interfaces, typed command labels or text navigation. | Cassia Alata Seed Activated Carbon for the Removal of Synthetic Dye Methyl Orange from Waste Water | Author : G. Usha Nandhini | K. Arivalagan | Subramanian Sivanesan | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :In this study, the activated carbon was prepared from Cassia alata seeds using Hydrochloric acid. Removal of Methyl Orange (MO) was assessed by varying parameters like pH, adsorbent dose, concentration, contact time and temperature. The adsorption efficiency of the prepared activated carbon was estimated by using various isotherms and kinetic equations. The isotherm parameters of the process were determined by using Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm equations. The kinetic parameters were predicted with pseudo first order and pseudo second order equations. The kinetic data confirmed to the pseudo second order kinetic model, suggesting that the rate limiting steps may be chemisorptions. The adsorbent material characterization was done by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and morphology of the surface adsorbent was identified with Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). G. | Visual Cryptography for Image Processing: A Survey | Author : Soundarya B A | Sowmeya D | Yazhini G V | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The method in which the visual information is encrypted by the process of encryption and those encrypted images are decrypted via sight reading is said to be called as visual cryptography or it is a method to hide the picture or an image into non-identical number of shares (different shares) and they are distributed to different set of participants. There are two sets of participants namely qualified and unqualified. The qualified set will combine with the participants of non-qualified set in order to get the secret image. Or the qualified set of participants alone can get the secret image. This new system has two phases. In the initial phase, the secret image as an input generates or creates some meaningless shares (4 shares) based on an algorithm called GAS algorithm. In next phase, the cover images are added in each share. They are added using an algorithm called stamping algorithm and distributes the embedded pictures or images to the participants. In receiver end, the embedded images are processed to receive the covering images from the shares generated and by overlapping those shares, the secret images are retrieved. These shares are arranged in correct order. In proposed system the security problem and the pixel expansion problems are reduced. It also helps to increase in the number of shares. Finally the obtained secret image can be viewed in a high resolution. | Automatic Solar Tracker with Dust Wiper Using PID Controller | Author : Kavya S Gogi | Maheshan CM | H Prasanna Kumar | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The Earth receives 174 peta watts (PW) of incoming solar radiation at the upper atmosphere. Approximately 30% is reflected back to space while the rest is absorbed. Solar energy is an alternative for fossil fuels as it is non-polluting, clean, reliable and renewable source of energy. It does not pollute the air by releasing harmful gases like carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxide or sulphur oxide. So, the risk of damage to the environment is reduced. Thus the use of solar devices was more suggested and the traffic signal and street lights in villages was installed using solar panel but the solar PV modules are generally employed in the dusty environments and the dust gets accumulated on the front surface of the module and blocks the incident light form the sun and it reduces the power generation capacity of the module, the power output reduces if the module is not cleaned for a regularly. In order to regularly clean the dust, this research presents a control application of a sun tracker that is able to follow the sun with high accuracy and clean the dust on the panel without the necessity of either a precise procedure of installation or recalibration. The designed tracking system consists of sensors, microcontroller, drivers for dc motors and gear- bearing arrangements with supports and mountings. DC motor is used to move the system panel so that suns beam is able to remain aligned with the solar panel and also clean the dust on the panel which improves the efficiency of the solar panel. Simulation and experimental results are obtained to a low cost single axis solar tracker and are exposed. Energy saving factors are taken into account, which implies that, among other factors, the sun is not constantly tracked with the same accuracy, to prevent energy over consumption by the motors. | Space and Transnational Empathy in the Works of Bharati Mukherjee | Author : Ms. Athira Prakash | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The burgeoning presence of Indian Diaspora across the world has triggered a new consideration of the cultural theories of nation, identity and international affairs. Depicting the process of negotiating the borders, both physical borders of states and countries and the metaphorical borders, between genders generations and cultures, Bharati Mukherjee, an American writer of Indian origin, raises the question of space and identity of the Indian immigrants in the US. An attempt is made to map the journey of Indian Diaspora from the status of the immigrants to that of the transnational citizens of the world. Analysis of Mukherjees characters, who mostly belong to the main stream of the third world and the margin of the first world, necessitates a close reading of the theories of post colonial studies and cultural studies . She endeavours to dive deep in to the distorted psyche of the migrants who are straddled between roof and root. The scope of this study lies in its treatment of transnational space which is going to be eminently pertinent in the contemporary politics and international relations. The paper unravels the process of the construction of transnational space and identity of the diaspora and points out the requisites of what is called transnational empathy which is of growing demand in the dynamic cross cultural interactions of the globalized world. Keywords: Migration, Acculturation, Transnational Identity, Empathy, Cross cultural Interactions Ms. Athira Prakash"Space and Transnational Empathy in the Works of Bharati Mukherjee" Published in International Journal of Trend in Scientific Research and Development (ijtsrd), ISSN: 2456-6470, Volume-2 | Issue-1 , December 2017, URL: https://www.ijtsrd.com/papers/ijtsrd8237.pdf https://www.ijtsrd.com/humanities-and-the-arts/english/8237/space-and-transnational-empathy-in-the--works-of-bharati-mukherjee/ms-athira-prakash

| An Examination of Factors Influenced in the Quality Checking of Data in a Data Warehoused | Author : Ghadge Nagnath G. | Panchal Vishwanath D. | Shaikh Riyaj | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Data quality checking in a data warehouse is a key success factor for each Business Intelligence project. In fact, it has a direct impact on taken decisions. If the Data quality checking is good enough for decision makers, the decision support system is very helpful for them. It allows them to have the right inputs to take the right decisions wherever and whenever they need them. But when the data warehouse is of poor Data quality checking, it can have serious impacts on taken decisions that may be even disastrous. Considering this importance of Data quality checking in data warehouse, we aim in this study to investigate the influence of such contingency factors as top management commitment, Data quality checking management practices, external expertise, Data quality checking at the source, Team Working and technology factor, on the one hand, and Data quality checking in data warehouse, on the other. We developed a conceptual model where we formulated the relevant hypotheses (Zellal & Zaouia, 2015) and then we established the measurement model (Zellal & Zaouia, 2016). We conducted the survey in Morocco and we used a structural equation modeling technique to analyze the collected data. The objective of identifying the most critical factors is to enable stakeholders to better use their scare resources while implementing a data warehouse by focusing on these key areas that are most likely to have a greater impact on the Data quality checking in data Warehouse. | Profitability and Liquidity. Do they move together? | Author : Jerry Johny | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :While studying the basics of financial management students are often taught that liquidity and profitability both very important for business in terms of Survival and growth dont often go hand in hand with each other. In almost all theories there exist an inverse relationship between liquidity and profitability primarily due to the Limited nature of financial resources. Most often firms have to decide on using the available funds for short term purposes to meet the liquidity needs or to finance the long term necessities of making profit and growing in the long term. The main objective of the study is to analyse what kind of relationship exist between liquidity and profitability with specific concentration on Indian industry. In the study we have considered random companies from the Pharmaceutical sector that are part of the Pharmaceutical sectoral index of the NSE. We have used selective ratios to represent profitability and liquidity and used correlation analysis to identify what kind of relationship exist between them. Jerry Johny"Profitability and Liquidity. | Corrosion Characterization of Aluminium 356 Hybrid Composites in Neutral Chloride Medium | Author : V. Bheema Raju | S. Kusuma | P. V. Krupakara | H. C. Ananda Murthy | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Hybrid composites are the composites which contain two different reinforcements in them. One of the reinforcements will be added in different quantities and another one will be added with same quantity. In this work hybrid composites of aluminium 356 are manufactured by adding fly ash and silicon carbide particulates. Composites are manufactured by liquid melt metallurgy technique using vortex method. Composites containing 2% fly ash and 2, 4 and 6 weight percentages of SiC particulates were manufactured. Matrix alloy was also casted in the same way for comparison. Static weight loss corrosion test and potentiodynamic polarization tests were conducted in different concentrated solutions of neutral chloride like sodium chloride. | Effect of Foreign Exchange Rate Fluctuations on Nigerian Economy | Author : UFOEZE, Lawrence Olisaemeka | OKUMA, N. Camilus | Prof. Clem NWAKOBY | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :This study investigated the effect of exchange rate fluctuations on Nigerian economy. The fixed and floating exchange eras were compared to know the exchange rate system in which the economy has fairly better. The time period covered was 2012 to 2015. The study employed the ordinary least square (OLS) multiple regression technique for the analysis. The coefficient of determination (R2), F-test, t-test, beta and Durbin-Watson were used in the interpretation of the results. The resulted revealed that about 85% of the changes in macroeconomic indicators are explained in the fixed exchange era. In the floating exchange era, 99% was explained while the whole periods has 73% explanatory power, hence the floating exchange era (1986 to date) is more effective in explaining economic trend in Nigeria. Also, exchange rate has significant positive effect on GDP during the fixed exchange rate era and negative effect the eras floating and all-time; inflation has insignificant negative effect on GDP during the fixed exchange era; significant effect in floating era and significant negative effect in the all-time period; money supply has insignificant negative effect GDP in fixed exchange era; and significant positive effect during the floating and all-time period; and oil revenue has significant positive effect on the GDP in all the exchange rate regimes (floating, fixed and all-time) in Nigeria. The study thus conclude that exchange rate movement is a good indicator for monitoring Nigerian economic growth. So far exchange rate has always been a key economic indicator for Nigeria. The floating exchange period has outperformed the fixed exchange rate in terms of contribution inflation, money supply and oil revenue to economic growth. This indicate that the floating exchange rate has been a better economic regime for sustainable economic growth in Nigeria. From the findings, it is evident that oil revenue has positive effect in Nigeria and has remained the mainstay of the economy. It is thus recommended among other things that a positive exchange rate stock should be monitored regularly, so as not to allow those that find exchange rate as an avenue of investment like banks and public carry out their business, which is more devastating to the economy. | Educational Inequality in India: A Review Paper for Transgender Population | Author : Ms. Anugya Mittra | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :A Transgender or trans-identified individual is a person whose gender identity ,outward appearance or gender expression transcend culturally defined categories of gender. Transgender falls under LGBT Group [ Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender] ( Athreye ). Transgenders are not a part of a general class, and despite of a landmark judgement given by the Supreme Court of India on 2014 created the œthird gender status for hijras or transgenders, around 4.9 Lakh third gender in our country face social discrimination and harassment .The transgender community comes under the category œdisadvantaged group defined by the Right To Education Act (2009). They are eligible for 25% reservation under the economically weaker section(EWS) and disadvantaged students category with access to schooling. This paper is a step towards knowing the present status of transgenders in education , the challenges they are still facing and a list of RIGHTS specified in our Indian Constitution in favour of the third gender, awareness of which can change the picture of educational inequality in order to improve the status of transgender in it. | A Study on the Customer Satisfaction of HDPE Woven Sack with Special Reference to Winplast Polymer Products Private Limited | Author : Mary T. L | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :A market trader has a continuous finger on the pulse of customer satisfaction. Direct contact with customers is an indicator showing where he is going right and where he went wrong. Such informal feedback is valuable for any company but hard to formulize. Due to the said reason surveys become necessary to measure and track customer satisfaction. Customer satisfaction measures how well the expectations of a customer concerning a product or service provided by a company have been met. This helps to analyze the leading indicator of consumer repurchase intensions and loyalty and to find the point of differentiation. It reduces customer chain, it increases customer lifetime value and it reduces negative word of mouth. It is easier to retain current customers than to find new ones. Companies who fail to satisfy their customers are outnumbering the companies who satisfy their customers. There are a number of reasons behind this. Here, customers are sought to know their views on the performance of the company and how it could improvise. This study is about the customer satisfaction of HDPE woven sack with special reference to Winplast Polymer Products Private Limited. Mary T. | How Chinas œString of Pearls Project would affect Indias security? | Author : Dushyant | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Chinas efforts to build ˜nodes of influence in the Indian Ocean Region have been increasingly discernible in recent years. This endeavour, many argue, is driven by Beijings military-strategic ends. However, such an argument remains a speculation, backed by frail and somewhat disjointed evidence. At least in the public domain, it may be too early to marshal tangible evidence to prove or dismiss the hypothesis. An assessment is nonetheless crucial because notwithstanding Chinas legitimate interests in the Indian Ocean, its naval presence in these waters would bear strongly upon the security calculi of India in particular and those of other major powers. From the study of available information, this paper attempts to derive Chinas objectives in the Indian Ocean, its approach and the attendant security ramifications for India. | An Analysis of Application of Accounting Standards to Computer Software and Website Cost | Author : N. Sharadha | Prof. V. Manickavasagam | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Todays era is an era of machinery. Therefore, approximately all enterprises use machinery or equipments such as computers, machines for manufacturing, processing, packing etc., for the efficient and expeditious working. As the environment of every enterprise is different from each other, all the enterprises generally use internally generated assets which may benefit themselves. The computer software either acquired or internally generated for the purpose of internal use or a website either developed internally or purchased by the enterprise for the purpose of its internal use in the organization, may be recognized as an intangible asset. An expenditure incurred in respect of developing a website should be charged as an expense to the period to which it relates unless such expenditure comes under the purview of recognition criteria. Companies are incurring significant costs to develop Internet web sites. These companies may be "Internet" companies, traditional "brick and mortar" companies, or service companies. The web sites may be used to promote or advertise products or services supplant manual processes or services, sell products (including software) or services, or to do a combination of all three. Further, due to rapid changes in technology, new uses for web sites are being developed. Diversity in practice exists in accounting for website development costs. Some entities capitalize website development costs, others expense such costs, and still others capitalize some of those costs and expense the rest. Hence, the issue is how an entity should account for costs incurred to develop a computer software or website. N. Sharadha | Prof. V. | Location Based Nearest Keyword Search | Author : Miss Rachana V. Kurhekar | Prof. R. R. Shelke | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :It is common that the objects in a spatial database are associated with keyword to indicate their businesses/services/features. An interesting problem known as Closest Keywords search is to query objects, called nearest keyword search, which together cover a set of query keywords and have the minimum inter-objects distance. In recent years, I observe the increasing availability and importance of keyword rating in object evaluation for the better decision making. This motivates us to investigate a generic version of Closest Keywords search called Best Keyword Cover which considers inter-objects distance as well as the keyword rating of objects. The baseline algorithm is inspired by the methods of Closest Keywords search which is based on exhaustively combining objects from different query keywords to generate candidate keyword covers. When the number of query keywords increases, the performance of the baseline algorithm drops dramatically as a result of massive candidate keyword covers generated. To recover this drawback, this work proposes a much more scalable algorithm called keyword nearest neighbor expansion (keyword-NNE). Compared to the baseline algorithm, keyword-NNE algorithm significantly reduces the number of candidate keyword covers generated. The in-depth analysis and extensive experiments on real data sets have justified the superiority of our keyword-NNE algorithm. Miss Rachana V. Kurhekar | Prof. R. R. | An Effective and Optimal Mobility Model and its Prediction in MANETs | Author : Shashiraj Teotia | Dr. Sohan Garg | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :In our research paper, we display an overview of different mobility models in ad hoc wireless networks. We demonstrate that gathering movement happens much of the time in specially appointed networks, and present another mobility model that is exceptionally effective and optimal for MANETs i.e. Optimal and Effective Mobility Model (OEMM) to speak to the relationship among portable hosts. OEMM can be promptly connected to numerous current applications. In addition, by appropriate selection of parameters, OEMM can be utilized to model a few mobility models which were beforehand proposed. One of the primary topics of this paper is to explore the effect of the mobility model on the execution of a particular network protocol or application. To this end, we have connected our OEMM model to two distinctive network protocol situations, bunching and directing, and have assessed network execution under various mobility designs and for various protocol usage. Not surprisingly, the outcomes demonstrate that distinctive mobility designs influence the different protocols in various ways. Specifically, the positioning of steering calculations is affected by the decision of mobility design.
