Video analytics framework detection performance is worked at cloud. Object detection and classification are the basic tasks in video analytics and become the initial point for other complex submissions. Old-fashioned video analytics approaches are manual and time consuming. These are particular due to the very participation of human factor. This paper present a cloud based video analytics framework for accessible and robust analysis of video streams. The framework enables an operative by programing the object detection and classification process from recorded video streams. An operative only specifies an analysis criteria and period of video streams to analyze. The streams are then realized from cloud storage, cracked and analyzed on the cloud. The framework performs compute severe parts of the analysis to CPU powered servers in the cloud. This paper focuses on the maximizing the solar energy produced by Solar cells through the development of such a Sun-Tracking system that can be implemented using PLC and SCADA. The developed tracking system is innovative in relation to the usual sun tracking systems available in the market. In fact, the developed solution has many advantages in relation to similar existing devices, as this system can automatically work in order to optimize the energy production of photovoltaic cells as we know that in case of fixed Solar cells, the efficiency is very poor. Heavy metal deposition has increased due to the anthropogenic activities leading to heavily polluted areas worldwide. The objective of present study was to evaluate the effect of lead acetate Pb C2H3O2 2 on antioxidant enzyme activities in gastrocnemius muscle of mice. Lead is a toxic heavy metal widely distributed in the environment due to its role in modern industry. Normal healthy looking mice showing no sign of morbidity were divided into three groups. Group I was designated as control whereas group II and group III received lead acetate having doses 10 mg kg body weight of lead acetate, daily and 150 mg kg body weight of lead acetate, weekly respectively. This paper discusses the functions of cohesive relations in text. Cohesion is the singular factor that enables spoken or written document to "stick together." This study set out to determine the predictive validity of Mock GCE Advanced Level Biology Scores on G.C.E Advanced Level Biology Scores that is, to ascertain whether students who pass in Mock G.C.E also pass in GCE. The target population was the Upper Sixth Science Students in High Schools in Fako Division in the year 2006. The sample of the study was 200 students 92 males and 108 females who were selected from four Government schools, four Mission schools and two Lay private schools. A Follicular or Dentigerous cysts are the second most common type of odontogenic cysts. They are formed over the unerupted or partially erupted tooth like fluid filled sac and can further lead to infections if left untreated. Follicular cysts are benign and are most common in the age group of 20- 30years. Smaller follicular cysts do not show any symptoms but as it grows larger than 2cm, patient starts experiencing tooth pain, sensitivity, swelling or displacement of teeth occasionally. So here the question arises when such an act against a woman is a crime only for unmarried women while its yet to be treated as a crime for married woman, is this classification of not criminalising such a grave crime for the married women alone justifiable This paper begins by studying rape and extensively discusses about the controversies surrounding marital rape where the literature on rape is reviewed to draw a nexus between rape and marital rape to prove beyond doubt that all types of rapes are of the same category and is a heinous crime, thus the offenders irrespective of him being a stranger or husband or friend must meet the same ends of justice. With the rising energy demand and lack of infrastructure because of geographical condition of Pyin Kha Yaing Village, the whole village is still not inter-connected to National Grid System. This village is located in Ngapudaw Township, Ayarwaddy Division. The latitude and longitude of study case is 15.980992 and 94.400207 respectively. Presently, the electrification of Pyin Kha Yaing Village is carried out by steam boiler driven generator with burning of Rice-Husk. With this source, total average consumption is observed as 3.4 MWh D. Instead of steam boiler generator driven, Solar-Wind Hybrid Generation system is employed for this place. Removal of the hexavalent chromium from aqueous solution was carried out using citric acid modified Tamarind pod shell powder Tamarindus indica L. .The modified biosorbent was characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared FTIR spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscope SEM and X-ray diffraction XRD techniques. The effect of solution pH, biosorbent dose, initial concentration of hexavalent chromium solution, contact time, temperature and agitation rate was investigated in a systematic manner. Experimental data were analyzed by kinetic parameters such as pseudo-first order and pseudo-second order models and found that the biosorption of hexavalent chromium onto biosorbent, followed pseudo-second order kinetic model by its good correlation coefficient value which is very close to the unity. The equilibrium data were analyzed by using Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption isotherm models. Among these adsorption isotherm models Langmuir model was fitted well with its good correlation coefficient and value. The results concluded that the modified Tamarind pod shell powder Tamarindus indica L. was an efficient, eco-friendly, and economically low cost biodsorbent which was used in the removal of hexavalent chromium from the aqueous medium. This study examined, "The Effects of Cooperative Learning Strategies and Attitudes on Performance in Secondary School Mathematics in the South West Region of Cameroon". The researchers concern about the study emerged from his observations over a period of more than five consecutive years on the very poor performance of students at the General Certificate of Education, Ordinary Level. This made him to ask a number of questions, from which one general research question was formulated. This was - To what extent do cooperative learning strategies and attitudes affect performance of students in secondary school mathematics This general research question gave rise to four specific research questions which were translated to a general hypothesis and four specific hypotheses respectively. A combined quasi-experimental and survey research design was used for the study. The target population of the study consisted of 5,671 Form Three students in the entire South West Region. From this population, a sample of 359 Form Three students was selected for the survey study, and 65 students in their intact groups of 34 and 31 students were used for the quasi-experimental study. Both probability, in particular, simple random sampling technique and the non-probability sampling, in particular, purposive sampling techniques were used in the study to select the subjects. The questionnaire, pre-test and post-test, instrument for focus group discussion were the instruments used for data collection. Validation of the instruments was done through face, content and constructs validity. Reliability was achieved through the test-re-test method. The hypotheses were tested through inferential statistics. In particular, through the t-test and Pearson Correlation r coefficient product moment. The results rejected all the null hypotheses while retaining their alternative forms. This led to the following conclusions 1. The mean performance of students exposed to peer tutoring in the study of mathematics is significantly better than that of those who study individually. 2. The mean performance of students exposed to positive interdependence in the study of mathematics, is significantly better than that of those who study individually. 3. There is a significant relationship between interest in secondary school mathematics and performance. 4. There is a significant relationship between participation in mathematics lesson and performance in secondary school mathematics. Based on these results, recommendations were made to teachers to regularly use cooperative learning strategies so as to raise the interest of learners and their participation in mathematics, with the results being improved performance. School strategic planning is the key to determine the schools success as it prepares to respond to ever changing academic landscape. This study intended to find out the roles of school stakeholders in the implementation of the school strategic plan in public secondary schools in Migwani sub-county. The specific objectives were - To assess the extent to which strategic plans had been implemented in public secondary schools in Migwani sub- county, to find out the role of parents in implementation of the school strategic plan, to find out the role of government in implementation of school strategic plan and to find out the role of school management in implementation of school strategic plans in Migwani Sub-County. Descriptive survey study approach was used. Questionnaires and interview schedule were used for data collection. The population of the study comprised of 22 public secondary schools which had documented strategic plan in Migwani sub-county as per February 2017. Stratified and simple random sampling techniques were used to select 66 respondents out of 286. The respondents were parents PTA members, school principals and BOG members. Data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical tools. The study found that the parents and government are the main financiers of all the school projects stated in the strategic plan. Government provides teachers and policies which are essential for implementation of strategic plan. BOG plan, budget and prioritize the items for implementation. An average of 34.59 of strategies had been implemented. There was no statistical difference in the role played by parents, government and school management 0.979 . The research sought to assess the effectiveness of institutional rural land dispute management strategies. Students from each college were chosen on purposive sampling from three colleges were included in this study. The Drinking Motives Questionnaire-Revised DMQ-R Cooper,1994 was used to assess principal reasons for alcohol use. This 20-item, four-factor measure assesses enhancement e.g., "because it gives you a pleasant feeling" , social e.g., "to celebrate a special occasion with friends" ,conformity e.g., "to fit in with a group you like" , and coping e.g., "to forget about your problems" motives for drinking. Participants indicate on a 5-point scale ranging from 1 almost never never to 5 almost always always the frequency with which they drink for each reason. Subscale scores are thencomputed by averaging the ratings across each of the five items related to each factor. The study examined the influence of promotional strategies on the performance of Nigerian banks. Survey research design was adopted in the study. A population of 120 top staff of UBA and Zenith bank was used in the study. The total population was used as the sample size of the study. Questionnaire was used as instrument of data collection and the data collected were analyzed using five scale likert and simple percentage. Chi-square was used to test the hypotheses. From the analysis, result showed that utilization of promotional strategies by banks highly improves their performance rate and that enables the bank to grow significantly. The finding also indicated that promotional strategies adopted by banks encourage customers deposit level and increases the rate of deposit as well as encouraging banks patronage hence, contributing to growth and performance of the bank. The purpose of the study was to compare the Mental Health status among South Gujarat Urban and Rural Secondary School Students. Subjects selected for the present study were secondary school students of south Gujarat urban and rural area. A total of 2160 boys student were randomly selected below the age of 15 years. From the city schools 1077 boys and from rural schools 1083 boys were randomly selected. The Mental Health Scale prepared by Dr. D.J. Bhatt and Ms. Geeta R. Geeda was used as a tool for the present study. The scores arrived from 1077 Urban School students and 1083 Rural School students were compared by applying t test. This study revealed significant difference in Mental Health Mean Scores between Urban and Rural area Secondary School Students of South Gujarat. This shows that the brought up of the student affects their mental health. The economic development may be one of the factor for the differences in mental health of urban and rural students. Schools have to play a vital role in improving mental health of students. A mentally healthy student can think positively and cherishes it in any situation. This study was entitled Perceptual Learning Styles of Students and Its Effect to their Academic Performance. The study aimed to know the Perceptual Learning Styles of Grade 12 GAS Students and its effect to their Academic Performance. It also aimed to answer the following objectives What are the Learning Styles of the students What are the Academic Performances of the students in terms of learning style and Is there a significant difference between Academic Performance of the students in terms of their learning style This was a non-experimental study and descriptive-comparative since the researchers wanted to know the Perceptual Learning Styles of the Grade 12 General Academic Strand Students and compare their Academic Performance when grouped according to their Learning Styles. This was done by giving them survey questionnaires. The students that were included in the study comes from the five Grade 12 General Academic Strand sections that has a total population of 232. The total calculated sample size of respondents in this study using Slovins formula is 147 with 5 percent margin of error. Names of all the students were taken and systematic sampling technique was used to get 147 random respondents. The instrument used in gathering data is in the form of self-assessment questionnaires by Victoria Chislett MSc and Alan Chapman of 2005. The questionnaire was composed of 30 statements. 10 items corresponds to each of the Learning Styles. These were given to know the Perceptual Learning Styles of Grade 12 GAS Students in Agusan Sur National High School based on Flemings VAK Learning Style Model. Data were analysed to identify, describe and explore the different learning style preference of Grade 12 GAS students of Agusan Sur National High School and determine its effect to their academic performance. The questionnaire includes the respondents profile such as name and their average grade during the first semester. A total of 147 self-assessment questionnaires by Victoria Chislett MSc and Alan Chapman of 2005 were distributed to the selected respondents. It was composed of 30 statements where 10 of which corresponds to each of the learning style identified by Neil Fleming in his VAK Learning Style Model. The following findings were obtained based on the analysis and interpretation of data. The Perceptual Learning Style of the Grade 12 General Academic Strand are arranged in descending order as follows Visual Learning 48 , Auditory Learning 30 , Kinesthetic Learning 17 , Visual Auditory 5 . The Academic Performance of the students in terms of their Perceptual Learning Style reveals that students who performs excellently in class are mostly Visual and Auditory learners. Both Kinesthetic and Visual Auditory learners respond desirably to class. Since the calculated value 0.002 is lesser than the probability value 0.005, there is a significant difference. Therefore, the students Perceptual Learning Style affects their Academic Performance. It is therefore concluded that Visual and Auditory are the commonly used perceptual learning style of the students. Also, only few are inclined in Kinesthetic and the combination of Visual and Auditory. In terms of Perceptual Learning Style, the students who performs outstandingly are mostly Visual and Auditory Learners. Both Kinesthetic and Visual Auditory learners respond desirably to class. An integrated approach of Remote Sensing and GIS techniques was adopted to carry out groundwater potential evaluation for suitable siting of boreholes potential in Lang tang North LGA of Plateau state, Nigeria. SPOT5 imagery of 2005 was used to generate a landuse landcover thematic map and sentinel Radar image was used to generate a thematic map of lineament structures. Topographic parameters such as contours, slopes and drainage density were generated from Digital Elevation Model DEM while the lithology Rock types map was generated from the Geological map of Nigeria. The soils type of the study area was also generated from the soil map of Nigeria. All the thematic maps generated lineament density, drainage density, slop, soil lithology, landuse and landcover were integrated and analyzed in Geographic Information System GIS environment using fuzzy logic overlay analysis model. The maps were reclassified into groundwater potential zone. Coordinate points of existing boreholes were collected during a field survey which was used in validating the ground water potential map. The results show that groundwater potential zone demarcated through the model is in agreement with most of the borehole yield information data. It was also found out that the groundwater prospecting zone in the various themes are attributed into five ranks as very high, high moderate, moderate low and very low. The problem of not having a reliable communication network has arisen as a result of robustness of the network which emanate to having high bit error rate, congestion and fading. This can be overcome by characterizing a typical broadband data networks, designing a Simulink model of the network of study and use it to study the extent of robustness of data in the network, evaluating the behavior of packets in the channel network, designing an adaptive modulation scheme to improve robustness in the data network, simulating the above using MATLAB Simulink, designing a visual basic model for improving the robustness of data network using adaptive modulation technique and evaluating and analyzing the performance of the adaptive modulation for improved robustness to ensure the model developed achieved the research objective. The reduction of robustness in data obtained using adaptive modulation is about 50 better than using the conventional method. Information hiding in a cover file is one of the most modernized and effective ways for transferring secret message from sender to receiver over the communication channel. There are many steganographic techniques for hiding secret message in image, text, audio, video and so on. Image Steganography is also one of the common methods used for hiding the information in the cover image. In this research work, the secret message is hidden in a cover image file using image steganography. LSB is very efficient algorithm used to embed the information in a cover file. The LSB based image steganography with various file sizes is analyzed and illustrated their results. Bitmap .bmp image is used as a cover image file to implement the proposed system. The detail Least Significant Bit LSB based image steganography is introduced. In this paper, the new embedding algorithm and extracting algorithm are presented. While embedding the secret message in a cover image file, the starting embedded pixel is chosen according to public shared key between sender and receiver. The original cover image and embedded image with secret message are analyzed with PSNR values and SNR values to achieve security. The resulting embedded image shows the acceptable PSNR and SNR values while comparing with the original cover image. The proposed system can help the information exchanging system over communication media. Chronic kidney diseases CKD is a progressive and irreversible deterioration of renal function. Patients with CKD are prone to a variety of infections. Further chronic hemodialysis increases the infections and related morbidity and mortality. The present study was conducted to assess the probability of infection episode in CKD patients in patients with or without haemodialysis. A Cross sectional observational study was conducted with a total 56 patients with CKD. Clinical and biochemical data related to infections were collected from the individual patient records. The results showed that the chills and rigors, increased TLC, and elevated ESR were found to more in CKD patients on chronic haemodialysis. Further, our results suggested that CKD patient population showed increased-risk for the development of lethal sepsis. Hence, identification of the causes of infection and the appropriate treatment based on the severity of symptoms are essential for CKD patients who are on dialysis. This study investigated the impact of students attitude towards english langauge on academic achievement. This study used Universal sampling because it considered the two classes of the grade 9 students of Felisberto Verano National High School. One class is composed of 43 learners and the other class comprised of 45 students a total of Eighty eight 88 students as the chosen respondents of this study. The descriptive quantitative method of research was used to determine the impact of English language anxiety on the students academic achievement. A Likert-scale was used to measure the anxiety level of English language classroom activity and the attitude of grade 9 students toward English the scale was rated using the following options Strongly Disagree-1, Disagree-2, Undecided-3, Agree-4, Strongly Agree-5, 1-Very Relaxed, 2-Moderately Relaxed, 3-Anxious, 4-Moderately Anxious, 5-Very Anxious. The statistical tools used in analyzing the data of this study were weighted mean and Pearson Product Moment of Correlation Pearson-r . The weighted mean was used to determine the attitude and anxiety of grade 9 students towards English language classroom activities using the MPS of the respondents for the second grading of AY 2017-2018 as data. Pearson Product Moment Correlation Pearson-r was used to determine the significant relationships between the respondents MPS and Attitude towards English Language, MPS and Level of Anxiety towards English Class Activities, and the significant relationship between attitude and the level of anxiety. The findings revealed that the grade 9 students who participated in this study generally have the negative attitude towards English as a subject. They revealed that they dislike English as a subject because they find it difficult to express themselves using language as a medium of communication. Moreover, on the statement "I have heard of the phrase Filipino-English" got the lowest in rank which means they were unaware or they do not have an idea of a Filipino-English phrase. As to their level of anxiety, it was revealed that most of the students have difficulty when the teacher gives a speaking activity requiring mental adeptness such as debate. Moreover, they also display hesitation when speaking before a crowd because of their fear of being corrected in front of everybody. On the significant relationship between the respondents MPS and the attitude towards English, the way that students think and behave towards English language whether positive or negative is highly correlated to their academic performance. On the significant relationship between respondents MPS and level of anxiety, it failed to reject the null hypothesis therefore there is no significant relationship between anxiety level on their academic performance. Having failed to reject the null hypotheses on the significant relationship between the respondents MPS and level of anxiety and between the students attitude and level of anxiety, it can be further inferred that there are no significant relationships between the tested variables. Based on the findings of the study, there is a need to come up with speaking strategies to provide an avenue where students can be most apprehensive. Nowadays, there are a great number of various structures that have been retrofitted by using different FRP Composites AFRP, BFRP, CFRP, GFRP, etc. . Due to this, more researches need to be conducted to know more the dynamic characteristics of these structures, not only that but also a comparison among them before and after the retrofitting is needed. In this study, a model concrete structure is tested using ambient vibration data, in order to get the dynamic behaviors. Slab of the model concrete structure are then retrofitted by using GFRP composite, and then tested by using the ambient vibration data. At this stage, it is needed to evaluate the dynamic behaviors frequencies, mode shapes and damping ratios of the retrofitted model concrete structure. Various types of methods of OMA, such as FDD, EFDD, SSI, etc. are used to take action in the ambient responses. Having a purpose to learn more about the effects of FRP composite, experimental model analysis of both types retrofitted and no-retrofitted models is conducted to evaluate their dynamic behaviors. There is a provision of ambient excitation to the structure by using ambient vibration data on ground level. At the end of this study, moderate correlation is obtained between mode shapes, periods and damping ratios. In this paper intend to known that automatic voltage stabilizer plays efficient role in all type of load i.e. resistive, inductive and capacitive loads. This paper present control circuit for automatic voltage stabilizer provides voltage comparator, relays and servo-controlled motor that compare instantaneous input and output voltage. Automatic voltage stabilizer consists of two unit measuring unit and regulating unit. In this stabilizer, toroidal type variable autotransformer is used for regulating unit and electronic control circuit is used for sensing unit. Electromechanical or servo control system is used for measuring unit to sense the supply voltage. This electronic control circuit will operate within the fluctuation range from 120V to 250V.The rating of this automatic voltage stabilizer is 7kVA single phase and its frequency range is 50Hz. In this paper, single-sided linear induction motor SLIM for driving the elevator system is designed. Differing from other motors, SLIM is simple in construction, less expensive, very suitable for linear application which is used from low speed to high speed application. Special machine adjustments and alignments are not necessary in SLIM because mechanical coupling and gears are not required. Thus, SLIM is superior to other linear and rotary motor. The invention of LED lighting system has drastically revolutionized the illumination industry. LED lighting systems are being rapidly used to replace the existing lighting systems which waste a lot of energy in form of heat energy. This study aimed to reveal the linguistic errors student-writers committed in their news articles. It specifically endeavored to identify and classify the common graphological, lexico-semantic, and grammatical errors in the news articles. The frequency of these errors and the news writers error-density index were also determined. In this study, one hundred eighteen news articles of high school journalists were evaluated using the descriptive method via corpus analysis. Errors were categorized using Corders linguistic levels and were further analyzed using Ferris model of common writing errors. The study revealed that the most prevalent error among news writers is on the grammatical level with the improper use of verb tenses as the most recurrent error followed by capitalization and word choice. Furthermore, the overall error-density index of all news articles computed at 74 is deemed very problematic which led to the conclusion that the campus journalists are struggling in the correct application of linguistic rules which affect the content of their news and which may threaten the effective delivery of campus journalism. Reciprocal Cooperative Learning by Annemarie Palincsar and Anne Brown 1984 examine changes in student reading comprehension when reading and the changes in how the students used the predicting, questioning, and summarizing strategies. The techniques ask students to employ four strategies predict what they will read, generate questions about what was read, clarify any ideas that were not understood in the reading, and summarize the main idea of the reading. The study was implemented in second grading period within the school year 2016-2017 in Jacinto P. Elpa National High School. This study made use the pretest-posttest quasi-experimental research design to determine the effectiveness of Reciprocal Cooperative Learning RCL as a reading comprehension approach. A pre-post test design without a control group, this requires collecting data on the study of participants level of performance before the intervention took place pre- , and to collect the same data after the intervention took place post- . This study was used in tow sections which were both given the same treatment. The pre-test was given to both groups after which the intervention was introduced to both groups, which was the Reciprocal Cooperative Learning. The Oral Reading Proficiency Test ORPT Result of the students from the previous school year was used as a secondary data to establish the real scenario of the reading profile of the students regarding Word Recognition and Comprehension. The data were processed employing the weighted mean and T-Test. By the findings, the following conclusions were derived Students still needs to be exposed to reading materials and other avenues where English is the medium. Results showed that most of the students still belong to the Instructional level regarding Word Recognition. Regarding Comprehension, majority of the Grade 8 populace belongs to the Frustration Level. It connotes that even at their level they still have not developed reading comprehension strategies to aid them in comprehending a text read. Research studies have shown that yoga can modulate autonomic functions. Hence, the current study was designed to assess the effect of yoga on cardiac autonomic activity. 100 healthy volunteers M78 F22 from age group 17-26 years were included in the study. They practiced some yogic exercises including Asanas, Pranayam and relaxation techniques daily one hour for 3 months. Cardiovascular autonomic function tests parameters including Resting heart rate HR , Blood Pressure SBP, DBP , rate pressure product RPP and double product DoP , heart rate response to deep breathing E I ratio , valsalva maneuver VR and pressure response to cold pressor test CPT were studied before and after 3 months of yoga training. Result showed significant reduction in heart rate p 0.01 , SBP p .05 , RPP and DoP p .01 and E I ratio increased significantly while valsalva ratio VR did not change significantly after the yoga training P 0.05 . In cold pressor test CPT rise in SBP SBP and rise in DBP DBP was significantly decreased in response to cold water after 3 months of yoga training. This project is designed to control the speed of a single phase induction motor by using cycloconvertor technique by traics. Induction motors in particular are very robust and therefore used in many domestic appliances such as washing machines, vacuum cleaners, water pumps, and used in industries as well. A.C. motors have the great advantages of being relatively inexpensive and very reliable. The induction motor is known as a constant-speed machine, the difficulty of varying its speed by a cost effective device is one of its main disadvantages. The speed of the motor can be varied in two ways, one is by changing the number of poles and the second method is by changing the frequency. The speed control through the first method is uneconomical and the number of poles cant be varied under running conditions and the size of the machine also becomes bulky. These problems can be overcome by the second method. In this method, the frequency can be varied under running conditions also and there is no change in the size of the motor. In this method, the frequency changing device is cycloconverter. A cycloconverter is a power electronic device used to convert constant voltage constant frequency AC power to adjustable voltage adjustable frequency AC power without a DC link. This study focuses on the behaviour of soil-foundation interaction under a bridge pier. In 2016, August 25, a magnitude of 6.8 happened near Bagan region. Pakokku Bridge, the longest of the bridges over the Irrawaddy, is situated on 37.8 miles from the epicentre of 2016 Chauk earthquake. That is why the safety performance of long-span Bridge especially for the safety of the foundation system subjected to soil-foundation interaction is necessary to investigate for static and seismic excitation. So, study on the behaviour of soil-foundation interaction under Bridge pier in static condition is presented in this study. Firstly super structural loadings on the pile cap are estimated by using STAAD PRO V8i. And then, theoretical ultimate soil resistance pcr and pcd due to wedge and flow failure are determined to produce critical depth xcr. Based on the value of critical depth, p-y curves are generated by Reese 1974 method for the static condition. After that, finite element software ABAQUS is used for the analysis of soil-foundation interaction under a bridge pier. In this study, the behaviour of soil-foundation interaction such as deflections, settlements, shear stresses and shear strains are produced. According to the analysis results, it is found that the vertical and horizontal displacements at the pile tip are 1.27mm and 4.68mm respectively. Maximum shear stress and strain are found out the base of the pile cap. Finally it is found that the soil-foundation interaction under a bridge pier presented in this study is reliable and reasonable with the limitation of AASHTO Standard Specifications for Highway Bridges. The desire to develop the full potentials of all learners has been the utmost concern of Special Education. This study was out to investigate the effect of visual discrimination training on reading among struggling readers in primary five in the Buea Municipality. It made use of three primary schools government, mission and private in a quasi-experimental study. Twenty-four struggling readers were used to verify if visual discrimination training on letter, word, number, geometric shapes and pictures recognition has any effect on their reading ability. They were selected sequentially through teacher nomination, classroom records and a standard oral reading test. The 24 most severe cases were subjected to ballot to distribute them into two groups experimental and control . Each group had 12 participants including boys and girls between the ages of 10 -11years.The pre-test-post-test techniques were used to measure the progress made by each group within a period of 8 weeks. Only the experimental group received the treatment exercise. The instruments used for data collection were a master sheet for reading assessment, test score sheet produce by the researcher, an interview guide for pupils and their teachers. Data were analysed using the statistical package SPSS 21.0. They were analyzed and presented descriptively using frequencies, percentages, tables and charts, while hypotheses were tested using the Chi-Square test of equality of proportions comparing the aggregated scores of the experimental and control group. Interviews were analysed using the thematic and case approach, and summarized in code-grounding-quotation tables and conceptual diagram. Results revealed that, there was a significant positive progression in the experimental group. Letters and words recognition stood at the 27.1 as against 6.2 respectively. Then, the progression for numbers that stood at 20.8 as against 4.2 in the control group. Thus the null hypothesis was rejected while the alternative was retained. This implies that visual discrimination training has a positive effect on reading among struggling readers. This knowledge will lead to improvement in pedagogic practices in primary schools. The study therefore recommends that visual discrimination training be introduced as earlier as possible, and reinforced in all classes in primary schools to give all children the possibility to improve. A 3-dimensional CFD analysis has been carried out of solar air heater to study heat transfer and fluid flow behavior in a rectangular duct of a solar air heater with one roughened wall having combination of circular and square transverse wire rib roughness. The effect of Reynolds number, roughness height, roughness pitch, relative roughness pitch and relative roughness height on the heat transfer coefficient and friction factor have been studied. In order to validate the present numerical model, results have been compared with available experimental results under similar flow conditions. CFD Investigation has been carried out in medium Reynolds number flow.Average Nusselt number increases with an increase of Reynolds number. The maximum value of average Nusselt number is found to be 128.9646 for relative roughness pitch of 20mm and for relative roughness height of 0.06mm at a higher Reynolds number, 14000. Average friction factor decreases with an increase of Reynolds number. The range of parameters for this study has been decided on the basis of practical consideration of the system and operating conditions. This proposed paper is to model and simulate the sensor less control of Brushless DC motor with four-switch three phase inverter. Here, a new structure of three phase inverter with reduced number of switches i.e. four-switch for BLDC drive is introduced to reduce the switching losses that occur in the six-switch method and eliminate the mechanical commutation. The study sought to examine home environment as a predictor of academic performance for children with learning disabilities in the Buea Municipality, South West Region of Cameroon. The main was to find out the effect of home environment on the academic performance of children with learning disabilities. The study design was a survey. The study population was made up of the pupils of the three selected primary schools in the Buea municipality in the South West Region of Cameroon. The purposive sampling technique was also used to select the sample for the study. And the sample was 50 pupils with learning disabilities. Data was obtained through the use of a written exercise for the learners with learning disabilities. Data were analysed using an Epi Data and findings were presented in frequencies, and proportions. Multiple Responses Analyses was also used for the grounding of concepts that emerged from the open-ended questions. The Chi-Square test of equality of proportions was used to compare proportions for significant difference. The relationship between conceptual components was assessed using Spearman Rho correlation test. Findings from the study indicated that there was a significant relationship between home environment and academic performance of children with learning disabilities. Students who experience dearth in their linguistic resources, particularly in English, do not just deploy a single type of communication strategy during breakdowns in communication, but rather a combination of several CSs that manifests their strategic competence in communication. This study is geared to assess what, how, and why communication strategies were deployed. To support this assertion, a corpus-based method was used to collect and analyze corpus elicited from 158 tertiary students through oral interviews and focused-group discussions. Identified CSs were further given quantitative analysis based on how many times the strategies appeared in the students responses. The adoption of IFRS has been argues to have changed the manner in which the financial statements are prepared, presented and reported. IFRS represents a single set of high quality, globally accepted accounting standards that can enhance comparability of financial reporting across the globe. The significant disparities between the Nigerian Statement of Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards have resulted in the Statement of Accounting Standards being regarded as outdated and incomplete as an authoritative and internationally accepted guide to the preparation of financial statements. The study however examined the extent to which Nigerian banks have implemented the provisions of IFRS frameworks. The sample comprises of fourteen quoted deposit money banks in Nigeria. Specifically, financial statement figures of 2007 - 2011 pre-adoption period and 2012 - 2016 post-adoption period were utilized. The study adopted the ex-post facto research design. Annual panel data were collected from the financial statements and accounts of 14 deposit money banks quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange as well from the Securities and Exchange Commission statistical bulletin from 2007 to 2016. The findings revealed that the return on shareholders funds has improved since implementation of International Financial Reporting Standards IFRS on Nigerian banks. This study examines the determinants of savings among members of cooperative societies in Anambra state. Specifically, it provides empirical evidence on the socio-economic characteristics of members of the co-operatives and ascertains which of the socio-economic characteristics significantly determine savings mobilization among members of the cooperative groups. It also ascertained the range of savings of the members of the cooperative groups and identified the cooperative members reasons for saving. Data for the study were obtained from 100 cooperative members with the aid of well structured questionnaires through a simple random sampling technique. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis. Results obtained showed that on the average the members saved N12, 241.57 every month. The average monthly savings is encouraging considering the fact that their monthly income is low. The major reasons for saving as indicated by the respondents include Security, Statutory as Cooperative Member, Investment and to obtain Loans. This is obtained from their mean statistics of 4.00, 3.87, 3.53 and 3.00 respectively. The R2 value of 0.916 obtains indicates that about 91.6 of observed variation in savings by farmers could be attributed to the combined influence of the various independent variables included in the regression equation. The F-statistic with 95.342 was significant at 0.000 levels of significance. There is a significant variation in the range of savings of the members of the cooperative groups. Socio-economic characteristics of members significantly determine the savings of members of cooperative societies in the state. Based on the analysis and findings of this study, the researcher therefore recommends that To increase the farmers savings potentials, saving should be made statutory as cooperative member. The members should also be encouraged to invest more no matter how small. Cooling of gas turbine blades are major attention to high temperature working conditions. Numerous methods have been recommended for the cooling of blades and a unique technique is to be used to ensure radial holes to pass high velocity cooling air along the blade span. The forced convection heat transfer from the blade to the cooling air, it will reduce the temperature of the blade to permissible limits. Finite element analysis is used in the present work to examine steady state thermal andamp structural performance for stainless steel. Four different models comprising of solid blade and blades with varying number of holes 7, 8, 9 andamp 10 holes were evaluated in this project to find out the optimum number of cooling hole. It is observed that as the number of holes increases the temperature distribution will be increased consequently. The structural analysis is carried out after the thermal analysis in SOLID WORKS SIMULATION TOOL. It is observed that blade with 10 holes has showing more stresses than the remaining blades. Here we have done simulation of Shunt Active Power Filter, Series Active Power Filter and Unified Power Quality Conditioner. Shunt APF is used to mitigate the problems due to current harmonics which is because of non-linear load and make source current sinusoidal and distortion free. Series APF is used to mitigate problems caused due to voltage distortion and unbalance present in source voltage and make load voltage perfectly balanced and regulated. In this work multi phase flow and erosion analysis were done via simulations and CFD application for standard diesel and two alternative bio fuels, FAME and DME, inside different nozzle models and with various boundary conditions. Nozzle model consists of narrow channel with sharp type I or rounded type Y inlet section, with or without downstream placed target, so there was a total of four different model geometries. Simulation results showed that cavitations was present in almost all cases and that clear difference between three observed fuels can be seen. Mass flow in channel type I was lower than one in channel type Y. When comparing three observed fuels, it was noticed that DME fuel usually had highest velocity, but lowest mass flow rate. Contrary to DME, FAME fuel showed highest mass flow rate despite lowest velocity. When comparing simulation results and physical properties of observed fuels, it can be concluded that density is a leading term in determining mass flow rate. Also, erosion model predicts more intensive MDPR value near narrow channel exit. The effective sectional area concept was adopted to conduct the analysis of cold-formed tension members. Ansys software was utilized to simulate the behavior of cold formed steel angle under tension load. Structural steel members are extensively used in structures such as bridges, roof trusses, transmission line towers, multistoried buildings etc. It gives high strength to weight ratio, resulting in the reduction of dead weight. The paper describes the case study of element types on cold formed steel angle sections under tensile using ansys. The main objective of the power system planner is to provide dependable and cost-effective power supply to the customer. Due to the advancement in the technology, power system structure has been remodeled which in turn attracts the more number of participants to participate in the electricity market. Increase in market participant increases the utilization level in the distribution side of the power system. One among the technical challenges facing due to the increase in the load level is maintaining the power balance of the power system with respect to the load variations. In recent years, the inclusion of distributed generations DGs efficiently resolves the above power shortage problem. Incorporating the DG sources in the power system network helps to improve the aspects such as power quality, bus voltage profiles and voltage stability of the system. It also has the characteristics of economic and reliable power supply to customers. The extent of these benefits depends on how the DG is placed and sized in a system. Improper allocation of DG sources in power system would not only lead to increase power or energy losses, but also can endanger the system operation. In the finite element nonlinear -pushover analysis plastic hinge formation is one of the essential data analyzed by researchers to distinguish the location of the building where larger potential damage may happen. If the number of plastic hinges in the structure is increased, the total capacity of the structure will increase proportionally. On this point of view reaching the maximum number of plastic hinges must be added as the new performance goal or level to the performance-based aseismic design codes, which will dial to the highest ultimate load of the structure. This paper studied the effects of reinforcement corrosion on bond performance between G-35 concrete and 16mm reinforcing steel for different corrosion levels. The steel rebar embedded in concrete specimens were corroded using an electrochemical accelerated corrosion technique by impressing current to the specimens to develop the different mass losses of reinforcement bars after corrosion. Then, monolithic pull-out loading tests were carried out on the specimens to develop the bond strength which is an important property in concrete construction as it determines the amount of tensile stress a concrete member is able to withstand safely. In this paper a new method for the enhancement of gray scale images is introduced, when images are corrupted by fixed valued impulse noise salt and pepper noise . The proposed methodology ensures a better output for low and medium density of fixed value impulse noise as compare to the other famous filters like Standard Median Filter SMF , Decision Based Median Filter DBMF and Modified Decision Based Median Filter MDBMF etc. The main objective of the proposed method was to improve peak signal to noise ratio PSNR , visual perception and reduction in blurring of image. The proposed algorithm replaced the noisy pixel by trimmed mean value. When previous pixel values, 0s and 255s are present in the particular window and all the pixel values are 0s and 255s then the remaining noisy pixels are replaced by mean value. The gray-scale image of mandrill and Lena were tested via proposed method. Linearity issues in RF receiver frontend are discussed, followed by an analysis of the specifications and requirements of a LNA through consideration of multi-standard LNA. Experimental analysis of properties of a diesel fuel plays an important role in delineating the performance and the reliability of the fuel. The objectives of this study are to assess the qualities of diesel fuel experimentally and to ensured that only diesel fuels that adhered to the standard specification requirements prescribed by the American Society for Testing Materials ASTM and that are in line with the standard specification requirements of the Department of Petroleum Resources DPR and the Standard Organization of Nigeria SON are allowed to reach the end users for utilization. In this study, ten samples of diesel fuel were randomly collected from different dispensing point. These samples were analyzed in the laboratory to determine their performances and properties. The properties of the diesel fuel samples that were determined in this study are the appearance, colour, flash point temperatures, specific gravity, API gravity and the boiling points ranges of the samples. Among the aforementioned properties, the boiling point ranges is the most critical parameter that attest the reliability and the performance of the diesel fuel because it entails its state of purity. The results of this study for atmospheric distillation profile show that samples 1 to 7 met the minimum total recovery that is 97 v v and is the standard specification requirement prescribed by the Department of Petroleum Resources DPR and the Standard Organization of Nigeria SON . This shows that samples 1 to 7 are unadulterated diesel fuel. However, samples 8 to 10 did not met the minimum total recovery of the 97 v v , their total recovery fall below the minimum standard criteria. This also indicates that samples 8 to 10 were adulterated by low quality products. These adulterated diesel fuel may not meet the engine requirement of a diesel powered vehicles. So, when these fake products are used as energy source in diesel engine, it will reduce the performance of the engine. Therefore, adulterated products should not be allowed to reach the end user for utilization. Bagan, the Cultural Heritage City of Myanmar, was mainly composed of brick masonry monuments. Some monuments were stone masonry. All of these monuments are vulnerable to both disaster and natural degradation. In order to make proper conservation and repairing work, it is important to know the properties of ancient materials. Therefore, the physical properties and EDX analysis of the ancient bricks from different monuments of 11AD, 12AD, 13 AD and 18 AD were investigated. Due to the limited amount of samples, ancient mortar from monuments of 13 AD, and 18 AD were investigated. It is important to use the similar materials in conservation and repairing work of ancient monuments so that the physical properties and chemical characterization of the new brick from the modern brick mill near Bagan was also performed. Then, the physical properties unit weight, water absorption and mechanical properties compressive strength, flexural strength of ancient bricks were experimented in the laboratory. Energy-dispersive X-ray EDX analytical technique was performed for the chemical characterization of the ancient brick and mortar samples. In addition, the acid digestion test of ancient lime mortar was conducted in order to know the binder to aggregate ratio. From the evaluation of the physical properties results, ancient bricks were in good range of water absorption. The compressive strength of the ancient bricks were various due to the location of the sample, but most of them have high compressive strength. The chemical characterization results showed that the composition of the ancient bricks and modern bricks were similar but not identical. It was found that the bricks have preserved their originality against environmental and atmospheric affect and their mechanical properties showed that they were produced by appropriate technique. After many years of research in sustainable construction materials, the quality of producing construction materials has significantly improved. This paper presents how to design proportional integral controller and Fuzzy-PI based controller for efficiently load frequency control. Loads on the electrical system always vary in relation to that time, which results in diversity of frequency, causing frequency control problems to be loaded. The frequency difference is highly undesirable and the maximum allowable difference in frequency is ± 0.5 Hz. This paper load frequency control is done by PI controller, which is a conventional controller. This type of controller is slow and the controller does not allow the designer to keep in mind the potential change in operating conditions and non-linearity in the generator unit. To overcome these flaws, new intelligent controllers like Fuzzy-PI Controller are presented to extinguish tie-line power due to deviation in frequency and various load disturbances. The effectiveness of the proposed controller has been confirmed using the MATLAB SIMULINK software. The results show that the PI-fuzzy controller provides fast response, little undershoots and negligible overshoot with small state transfer time to reach the final stable position. Multiple Intelligences theory put forth by Howard Gardner 1983 is an innate faculty present in every individual in a unique combination. It is just not one form of intellect but eight different abilities, i.e., linguistic, logical, musical, kinesthetic, spatial, intrapersonal, interpersonal and naturalistic. The purpose of the present study was to find out the Influence of logical intelligence to foster active learning among the elementary school children. A self-structured Multiple Intelligences Inventory with 0.729 Cronbachs alpha and 0.638 split-half correlation and Active Learning scale with 0.896 Cronbachs alpha and 0.85 split-half correlation was administered to the respondents. The sample consists of 100 respondents of both gender studying in sixth standard, with 50 children for experimental group of Ramanashree Udaya Education Society and 50 for control group of Seshadripuram School. The students were initially assessed using Multiple Intelligences Inventory and grouped based on their intelligences. A group which was dominant with logical mathematical intelligence was considered for the study. Social Science curriculum which the subject teacher expressed as a perceived difficult subject among the students was identified for intervention program. Hence the educational modules were developed in accordance with logical mathematical intelligence for social science curriculum. The results of the investigation revealed a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores of active learning, indicating that logical mathematical intelligence intervention had an influence on active learning among the children of experimental group. Whereas among the control group respondents the differences between the pre and post test scores was found to be non- significant. Hence identifying the dominant intelligence in the children and helping them to recognize their own potentials while imparting curriculum as well encouraging them to learn accordingly is very crucial. Labeo calbasu is an important food fish and commonly known as the "calbasu" or "Black Rohu". The present study was conducted on DNA extraction and determination of DNA quantity of both male and female of wild and cultured Labeo calbasu using Nanophotometer. DNA isolation was done and gel electrophoresis was carried out. Extracted DNA was analyzed using nanophotometer Nanophotometer P330 Implen, Germany to determine the concentration of DNA and its purity level. Several different methods have been employed in the quantification of nuclear DNA over the past 50 years. The ease of use of this technique not only makes it a feasible option for small volume analysis of DNA but also a practical alternative for spectrophotometric measurement. The concentrations of some heavy metals Cd, Cu, Fe, Mn, Pb, Cr and Zn were investigated in selected vegetables Carrots, Cabbage and Spinach and the soil on which the vegetables were grown. Sample digestion was carried out in aqua regia and the analytes were quantified using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer, model 210 VGP AAS . The concentrations of these heavy metals in vegetables is as follows Cd ranges from 0.002- 0-019 mg kg, Cu 0.082- 0.457 mg kg , Cr 0.033- 0.138 mg kg , Fe 1,215- 9.837 mg kg , Mn 0.708- 7.822 mg kg , Pb 0.015- 0.088 mg kg and Zn 2.293- 4.900mg kg . while in the soil samples, the various concentrations ranges from 0.005-0.045 mg kg for Cd, 0.277 - 1.287 mg kg for Cu, 0.018- 0.620 mg kg for Cr, 19.334- 25.132 mg kg for Fe, 1.196- 17.118 mg kg for Mn, 0.089-0.471 mg kg for Pb and 1.090- 5.275 mg kg for Zn. The bioaccumulation studies show that cabbage has the highest absorption followed by carrot while the least absorption was observed in spinach. All the metals studied had concentrations within the WHO FAO guidelines with the exception of Zn and Fe whose concentrations were slightly higher than the recommended values. In real-time accurate and sensitive data collection under varying temperature and humidity microenvironments. Additionally, because the velocities of the particles change under varying temperature and humidity conditions according to the Ideal Gas Law, it is important for the system to be examined separately under each variable condition in a controlled manner. For instance, the water particles produced under changing humidity can interfere with the dust particle measurements in the optical sensor, and as a result, increase the sampled particle concentration. Another inaccurate reading can be caused when the air temperature increases, as the velocity of the dust particles that pass across the optical sensor increase. Consequently, the wireless sensor was calibrated by observing the results of the professional Dylos and the wireless sensor separately under these varying conditions. Then, we conducted two different tests to verify the functionality and durability of the sensor. These tests were performed for 24 hours both indoors and outdoors to test the reliability and accuracy of the wireless sensors against the Dylos air quality monitoring. In this system, we proposed wireless sensor network to monitor the temperature , humidity and also the gas leakage of industrial applications .By introducing this we can monitor the sensor parameter values in wireless communication and also we can upload the sensor parameter values in web portal. In the present work, the work piece material taken is chrome-moly alloy steel. This is a hard material having hardness 48 HRC. Our present fuel resources are not going to be around forever and with the ever increasing consumption their extinction is nearly unavoidable. Also our fuel resources which are mostly made up of fossil fuels are not renewable in nature. In the present study hydrogen at a constant flow rate of 4lpm was inducted in the suction, at some distance away from the intake manifold, along with air. Two different fuels on volume basis were tested as main fuels in a single cylinder, 4-stroke, air cooled, direct injection diesel engine developing a power of 4.4 kW, at a rated speed of 1500 rpm. One fuel was the sole used transformer oil UTO UTO100 and the other one was the UTO at 40 blended with 60 diesel fuel UTO40 . In this paper, it is envisaged to project a new composite material, which can be made from the existing non-degradable and hazardous waste materials. Sensors and associated hardware needed to monitor the vital physiological parameters of the human body are available on the chair, thereby leading to the idea of a Smart Chair. It enables the subject to be seated in a relaxed posture during the acquisition of physiological signals from various sensors attached to his her body. The raw signals from the sensors are processed digitally by an onboard microcontroller and analyzed for any common abnormalities in the health parameters of the subject. The results are then transmitted to a personal computer. The data can be viewed at any later time by a doctors computer that is connected to Internet. Storks are large wading birds that are distributed across the Indian Sub Continent. They belong to the order Ciconiiformes, having long bills, necks and legs. The family Ciconiidae is closely associated with wetlands, marshes and swamps. The study was conducted for 3 consecutive years January 2015 to January 2018 to know the occurrence and distribution of stork species in Bundelkhand region of India that is a drought prone landscape. Road surveys and field trips were carried following the line transect and point count methods. Bundelkhand region is privileged to put up with 6 species 5 residential and 1 migratory species of Storks in spite of its adverse climatic conditions. The 6 species were spotted individually, in flocks and mixed flocks were also not uncommon. User can browse image and upload the image on web page then we apply CLD and EHD technic and then see uploaded image is already store on cloud or not, if there is matching image like uploaded image then we extract referenced of already store image then send to the receiver and receiver can receive the image. The study was conducted in Tirunelveli District of Tamil Nadu state in South India. Tirunelveli district is predominantly an agricultural district with more than 70 per cent of the population directly or indirectly associated with agriculture. Tirunelveli district is having all the four different types of cropping systems, considered for the study, viz., wetland, garden land, and dry land systems as well as high elevation cropping system in considerable proportion as compared to other districts of the state. The data were collected by interviewing the respondents personally with the help of Pre-tested and well-structured interview schedule. The data were processed, coded and tabulated. Statistical analysis like percentage analysis, cumulative frequency distribution and zero-order correlation coefficient were used for analyzing and interpreting the data. The correlation analysis on the characteristics of the farmers revealed that out of fourteen independent variables studied, five variables namely educational status X2 , farming experience X5 , cosmopolites X8 , information sharing behaviour X11 and attitude towards eco-friendly practices X14 had shown positive and significant association with the extent of adoption of eco-friendly agricultural practices at 0.01 per cent level probability, while the variables viz., livestock possession X10 and extension agency contact X9 , mass media exposure X10 , self-confidence X13 had shown positive and significant association with the adoption of eco-friendly agricultural practices at 0.05 per cent level probability. To assess the knowledge regarding the ill effects of substance abuse among the study subjects. To determine the association between the knowledge of substance abuse among study subjects with their selected demographic variables. The research approach and research design adopted for the study was descriptive. Simple random sampling was used to select the sample of this study. The sample consists of 40 students, in between age group of 16- 24 years. Data were collected by using structured knowledge questionnaire. The questionnaire had 2 sections. Section 1 comprised of demographic data and section 2 on knowledge aspects of substance abuse. Data collected were analysed by using descriptive statistics. Results of the study revealed that majority of the student that is 52.5 had inadequate knowledge regarding substance abuse. The mean knowledge score was high in 19-21 years age group 50 , females 72.5 , and students residing in paying guest 57.5 , students who got 70 and above last years percentage 40 . IThe 2 analysis revealed that there was significant relationship between gender, percentage of marks obtained last year, type of family, living of status of parents, monthly pocket money received, educational status of parents, how often do you read literature related to drugs, how often do you listen or watch programmes related to substance abuse. There was no relationship between knowledge and other socio demographics like age, year of study, religion, place of stay and monthly family income. The proposed study aimed to design and develop an "Electro-Pneumatic Sepak-Takraw Ball Pitching Device". It is primarily concerned with designing a device that can pitch a ball simultaneously from a specified height. It has a manual feature that makes the pitching being controlled by another player thru a set of pushbuttons, and an automatic feature that enables the Sepak-Takraw ball being launched simultaneously controlled via smart phone. After the series of trials, several alterations were made in the microcontroller program and mechanical design for the automatic and manual feature. Results revealed that the developed prototype passed all the requirements and recommended to be used as a training device. Also, researchers recommend some design considerations for the improvement of the device, and these were to add more electronic features to the device and to develop an automatic swing feature up, down, left, and right to have a real-time variety of pitching angles. Food vending is recently a booming part of the food industry and millions of people depend on it for their daily nutritional needs especially because of its easy accessibility. It has become an important public health issue due to widespread food-borne diseases which are leading cause of morbidity and mortality. This study is aimed at assessing the prevalence and antibiogram assay of bacteria associated with food vending in Awka-South LGA, Anambra State. The randomly selected towns for this study were three towns in Awka- South LGA in Anambra state namely Awka State capital , Mbaukwu and Nise. Descriptive cross-sectional study and multistage sampling technique was adopted and sample size determined using a standard formula. Total of 65 food vendors were sampled. Sterile swab sticks were used to swab the palms, aprons, plates and spoons of the food vendors and the rinse method was used for bacteria isolation. Antibiotics sensitivity test of isolates was carried out using Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion method. The bacteria isolates from this study were E. coli 24.41 , S. aureus 21.60 , B. cereus 9.39 , Pseudomonas aeruginosa 15.96 , Serratia marcescens 4.70 , Klebsiella pneumonia 10.56 and Salmonella enterica 13.38 . The bacterial isolates during the course of this study showed wide resistance to conventional antibiotics especially beta-lactams. The findings of this study therefore necessitate the need for sensitization of food vendors and appropriate measures should be established to monitor susceptibility patterns of microorganisms involved as this will help to avoid possible outbreaks. The main of this study was to investigate how students negative attitudes towards physics can be changed by teacher mastery of subject matter. That is, the study was based on the framework that, teacher effectiveness can change physics students negative attitudes to positive. The sample of the study was made up of 1800 from a population of 4220 physics students of form three. This study was carried out in sixteen secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. To select schools for this study, stratified random sampling technique was employed. Simple random sampling technique was used to select the students. A questionnaire was designed and the reliability verified using statistical package for social sciences SPSS . The reliability coefficient of the questionnaire for student evaluation of teacher effectiveness had a cronbach alpha of 0.84. The quantitative data collected were subjected to both descriptive and inferential statistics. The data collected were analyzed descriptively using frequencies and percentages. Inferentially, the data were analyzed using chi squared test of independence. The main finding of this study was that teacher in-depth understanding of subject matter can change students negative attitude towards physics to positive. Introduction The identification of risk factors is important to reduce the risk of myocardial infarction. Material and Methods A quantitative non-experimental research study was conducted to assess the risk level and various risk factors of MI among the post-MI patients, and to find the association of risk level of MI with socio-demographic variables of post-MI patients. Seventy post-myocardial infarction patients were selected as sample that was selected by purposive sampling technique from a tertiary care hospital in Dehradun. The data were collected by using self-reported risk assessment tool. Results The study results shows that the majority 69 98.6 of the study participants were with the diagnosis of CAD with MI. The majority 64 91.4 of the study participants had not attended any educational programme on CAD Heart disease prevention. The study results shows that majority 58 82.86 of participants were having moderate risk of MI. As per this study the risk factors which were identified for MI were like male with 41 to 60 years, weight more than ideal weight, smoking habits, stress, eating sweet diets, personality type-A, no regular exercise and Diabetes mellitus. The association of MI risk level with the co-morbidity including diabetes, hypertension or both was statistically significant at the level of 0.05 significance. One of the most important areas that use image processing is the health sector. In order to detect some diseases, the need to visualize a certain part of the patients body using medical imaging devices has emerged. This field in the health sector is the Radiology department. MR, Tomography, Ultrasound, X-ray, Echocardiography. Because of the importance of time in the health sector, GPU technologies are a technology that should be used in hospitals. Medical MRI images showed that the unused areas NON-ROI occupy a large area and this unnecessary area in the image could reduce the image size significantly. In this method developed with CUDA, the ROI Region of Interest region within the Medical MR images is determined by sending a 3X3 Kirsch filter matrix to the CUDA cores, and the NON-ROI region is extracted with CUDA from the image. It is then compressed with a new compression method developed. As a result of this method The parallel application with CUDA solves the problem 34 times faster than the sequential application for each image, while the compressed image takes up 90 less space than the original image size it takes 40 less space than the compressed size of the original image. The study aimed to examine the relationship between organizational politics, employees job satisfaction and turnover intention in the public maritime-related agencies in the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The study utilized cross sectional research design. An enumeration of entire population census was conducted on 140 employees from Royal Malaysian Custom and Department of Fisheries in Terengganu. Data for the study were collected through questionnaire. 140 set of questionnaire were distributed and 109 copies were returned. Preliminary analyses were performed to ensure violation of assumptions of normality, linearity and homogeneity which enables us to analyze the data with the aid of Statistical Package for Social Science SPSS and SmartPLS softwares. The findings revealed a significant association between organizational politics, employees job satisfaction and turnover intention. The study therefore recommended that the agencies should actively focus on positive political behavior that will fuel workers job satisfaction and they should ensure proper pay structure including pay performance and other bonuses that will lead to employee job satisfaction and reduce turnover intention. The purpose of this research was to find out some pedagogic challenges involved in the teaching of Citizenship in Government Secondary Schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. This study investigated the attitude of different types of learners towards the use of computer related learning facilities in the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon. It was designed to respond to this research question Do slower learners have a different attitude towards the use of computer related learning facilities from faster learners The sample consisted of 1353 students from 18 schools. These schools were randomly selected from 35 schools with computer laboratories and internet facilities in the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon. Biodiesel-Ethanol-Diesel blends are believed to be able to improve the combustion characteristics since biodiesel, ethanol, and diesel have different fuel characteristics. A model was developed using GT-POWER, an engine cycle simulation for a biodiesel-ethanol-diesel BED fueled direct injection compression ignition engine corresponding to a 4.5 liter, TecQuipment TD115 MK-II single-cylinder diesel engine was used. At selected operating conditions, Intport-1 and Intvalve-1combustion parameters of the engine at constant load of 1000 g at various speeds of 1760 rpm, 1840 rpm, 1920 rpm, 2000 rpm and 2080 rpm were investigated. Results of the static pressure in Intport-1 for BED30 were compared with those obtained with the diesel and found to have the same trends for all the speed conditions, there was a significant pressure drop to less than 2.40 bar within the compression region and rises up above 2.40 bar before the power stroke region. The power and exhaust regions maintained the same trends of pressure fluctuations for both the diesel and BED30. Results of mass flow rate for the same Intport-1 show a steady increase of the maximum mass flow rate with speed, showing the lowest value of 0.18 kg s for BED30 and 0.17 kg s for diesel at 1760 rpm. The results of the average sub volume velocity centroid and diesel in Intport-1 for all speeds followed the same trend with the mass flow rate, but with smoother path at power and exhaust strokes. At the intake region the movement of the charges rise up for all the speed conditions, and reached a peak value of 56.8 m s at 1760 rpm, 59.1 m s at 1840 rpm, 62.7 m s at 1920 rpm, 64.0 m s at 2000 rpm and 71.1 m s at 2080 rpm. The Mass flow rate at the intvalve-1 results showed that at all the speed conditions, the maximum value of lift was at 2600 BDC. For cooling electronic systems new techniques are invented. Cold plate is liquid cooling system used in electronic components. In present work, the modification is done in design of cold plate to reduce its cost and also to increase the heat dissipation rate. Water at various flow rates is supplied for given power inputs and heat removing capacity of each flow rate at that particular heat load is calculated. It is found that water is best working fluid for all flow rates. Methanol and acetone are best suited for high mass flow rates. The cold plate is used to provide a "cold wall" to which individual electronic components are mounted. The design and performance evaluation of a cold plate follows a prescribed procedure that depends on the heat loading and whether the heat loading is on one or two sides of the cold plate. Effectiveness is one of the dimensions of child friendly school system. Effectiveness in education means to ensure the fulfilment of each learners right to quality education. This emphasizes the dynamics of the teaching and learning process. On that note, this study investigated the level of implementation on the effectiveness of Child Friendly School System in the junior high school level of Barobo National High School, Barobo, Surigao del Sur, Philippines. Respondents consist of 3 school administrators, 47 teachers, 50 Grade 10 students, and 50 parents of Grade 10 students. The study used the descriptive method where the respondents were asked about their evaluation of the program through a survey questionnaire. It was found out in the study that the Child Friendly School System was implemented to a very satisfactory level in terms of effectiveness. This goes to show that the said junior high school was able to deliver well in terms of how teachers and learners interact in the classroom and the usage of instructional materials to achieve positive learning outcomes. Clinching is one of a method of mechanical joining processes. The clinching is a cold joining process and belongs to a group of plastic joining technology. A lot of materials are joined in car body production. Some parts of car body construction consist of more than two steel sheets, that are needed to be joined. Furthermore, the above message is displayed in the LCD display on the vehicles dashboard with the cell phone number of the nearest service center. Due to the large use of MRI in hospitals, large storage areas are needed to store these images. Also, if you want to access these images over the system repeatedly, a large bandwidth is required. To solve this problem, it will be necessary to compress and store the medical imaging system quickly and without disruption. It has been seen that in the studies made on MRIs, the non-used regions NON-ROI occupy a large space and the image size can be reduced significantly when the unnecessary area in the image is cleaned. In this method developed with CUDA, the region of interest ROI in the MRI is detected by sending a 3x3 Kirsch filter matrix to the CUDA cores and the NON-ROI region is extracted from the image with CUDA. These operations are first executed by the serial application on CPU, then by a parallel application on GPU. As a result, the application running on the GPU produced 34 times faster results than the application on the CPU. When images are compressed with this new improved method, it takes up 89 less than the original image size and 15 less than the original compressed image. Electro-Chemical Machining ECM is the generic term for a variety of electro-chemical processes. ECM is used to machine workpieces through the anodic dissolution of metal. The process is used in aerospace engineering and the automotive, construction, medical equipment, microsystem and power supply industries. Almost all kinds of metal can be electro-chemically machined, especially high-alloyed nickel- or titanium-based ones, as well as hardened materials. As it is a contactless procedure with no heat input, the process is not subject to any of the disadvantages experienced with traditional machining methods, e.g. tool wear, mechanical stresses, micro-fissures caused by heat transfer or the need for subsequent deburring operations. All electro-chemical machining processes are characterized by stress-free stock removal, gentle transitions and top-quality surfaces without burr formation. R. A laboratory experiment was conducted to investigate allelopathic potential of water extract of rice-stubble leachate on certain oil-yielding crops mustard, sesamum and sunflower . A wide range of rice-stubble concentration i.e. 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 40 were prepared and used for testing of seedling growth parameters Length, fresh and dry weight of shoot and root of oil-yielding test crop seedlings. The experimental results found that the different seedling growth parameters were reduced with increased concentration of rice-stubble leachate in compared to control set. Root growth was more sensitive than shoot growth with increase of leachate concentration of rice-stubble. This experimental results show the existence of several bioactive compounds i.e. allelochemicals in rice-stubble. These bioactive compounds might serve as a source of natural herbicides. S. P.
