Abstract :This research was conducted with the purpose of knowing the self concept and anxiety influence students towards an understanding of mathematical concepts. The methods used in this research is a survey method. Affordable population are students of Class XI Science social sciences academic year 2014/2015 in Depok. Large sample as much as 90 students, with a sampling technique used was a combination of proportional and random, taken from three private schools. Research instrument used, namely the now self concept as much as 37 statement, now as many as 36 students anxiety statements, test understanding math concepts shaped 24 multiple choice question, which has been in test validitasnya. Data analysis using path analysis. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that: 1) there is a significant direct influence on the concept itself against the understanding of mathematical concepts. 2) there is a significant direct influence on anxiety of students towards an understanding of mathematical concepts. 3) there is a significant direct influence on the concept of yourself against anxiety students. 4) there is an indirect influence on the concept of understanding the mathematical concepts themselves against through the anxiety of students. |

Abstract :Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui adanya pengaruh minat belajar terhadap prestasi belajar matematika pada kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 160 Jakarta.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survey dengan analisis korelasional, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 65 orang, yang diambil menggunakan teknik simple random sampling.Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen pengisian angket yang terdiri dari 20 soal. Dari hasil penelitian perhitungan analisis regresi minat belajar dengan prestasi belajar matematika diperoleh persamaan dengan Fhitung< F tabel (-1,52<1,63) hal ini menunjukkan bahwa regresi X atas Y berpola linear. Sedangkan untuk pengujian hipotesis, diperoleh koefisien korelasi X terhadap Y sebesar 0,706 dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 49,8% dan diperoleh thitung> ttabel (7,914 > 1,670) sehingga Ho ditolak pada taraf 0,05. Maka kesimpulannya terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara minat belajar terhadap prestasi belajar matematika. |

Abstract :The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of constructivism based learning using media animation with TPCK framework and learning styles on student achievement. This study used an experimental method with a true experimental design. The population of this research is all class XI student of SMK 1 Dedai the academic year 2014/2015 Prodi computer technology and a network of four classes. Samples were taken from a population of 2 classes. Data collection techniques used in this study is the test method to measure student achievement, to measure learning style questionnaire and observation sheet as to measure learning outcomes affective and psychomotor student. The results showed; 1) learning style profiles of class XI student of SMK 1 Dedai; 2) there is influence of constructivism based learning using animation media on student achievement, (3) there is no influence of learning styles on student achievement, (4) there is the influence of animation media usage and learning styles on student achievement. |

Abstract :The aims of this research are intended to examine the effect of mathematics anxiety toward junior high school students’ mathematical understanding ability. The hypothesis of this research was mathematics anxiety had significant effect toward students’ mathematical understanding ability. The research utilized a survey method. The population in this research were students of grade eight from one junior high school in South Jakarta. As the concern, the sample comprised of 66 students who selected by purposive sampling technique. The instrument comprised Mathematics Anxiety Questionnaire. The items were grouped under four sub-headings of attitudinal, cognitive, somatic, and mathematical knowledge/understanding. Two forms of the questionnaire were designed. One sought information on anxiety when working on mathematics in a class consist of 12 items and the other on anxiety on completing a test on mathematics, consist of 16 items. The data analysis used simple linear regression analysis. The result showed that mathematics anxiety had significant effect toward students’ mathematical understanding ability. |

Peningkatan Aktivitas dan Prestasi Belajar Matematika Melalui Metode Modelling The Way pada Siswa Kelas IX SMP |

Abstract :The purpose of this study is to improve SMP students’ activity and learning achievement, in mathematics, with the application of the Modeling the Way method, during the 2012/2013 academic year. This research is a classroom action research (PTK) that is conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of preparation, action, observation, and reflection. Cycle I and Cycle II are executed within three meetings each. Subjects are IXF grade students of SMP N 1 Ceper amounting to 24 students consisting of 9 male and 15 female students. The data was taken by increased observation of students’ activities during the learning process, while their achievement was measured by evaluating them in the form of tests. The results showed that: (1) The students’ activities have increased from the first cycle to the second cycle. (2) The students’ learning outcomes have also risen, as shown by an increase in the cycle’s final test results. The average final test scores, from cycle I to cycle II, has risen from 71.04% into 79.17%. While the minimum percentage of completeness increased from 70.83% to 87.5%. The test results of the second cycle have reached the indicator of the success that has been established when 80% of students reached the Value Minimum Criteria for completeness (KKM), which is 68. From the results above, it can be concluded that the application of the Modelling The Way method can increase the activity and learning achievement of IX SMP students during the 2012/2013 academic year. |
