THANH THÚY | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Urban sociolinguistic study the need to conceive urban spaces as places of production of norms: socio-spatial, linguistic and identity. By analyzing epilinguistic and topological discourses held by young Hanoians, this article tries to show that the putting into words of the Hanoians identity categorizes not only the city space, but also the class-level of the speakers there. The inhabitants attribute to space linguistic characteristics which enhances the Hanoians identity. Our analyzes have shown the close link between space, language and Hanoians identity based on the mechanism of urban centrality.

| Le discours de quelques parents de la ville de Bejaia sur la transmission familiale des langues aux enfants | Author : Mahmoud BENNACER | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :This article will attempt to highlight the place of languages in the linguistic imagination of some citizens of the city of Bejaia parents. Our contribution will question the familial transmission of practical language to children. Indeed, the language issue in the Algerian family occupies space in recent times, many researchers interest in the extent of Algerian society in general and the families in particular are experiencing various socio-cultural changes, related to both socio- economic requirements and the phenomenon of globalization.
In order to understand the speech of some parents citizens on the issue of language transmission to their children, we have tried to achieve our initial objective, subjecting our public investigation a self-administered questionnaire, structured in several distinct parts. Considering the variable of linguistic affiliation of the parents, this work allowed us to detect, through their discourse on language passed on to their children, enrolled at the centers of early childhood in the city of Bejaia, weight sociolinguistic representations regarding language transmission practices. This contribution has allowed us also to compare the two choices, first family language policy initiated at the time of the language socialization of the child; secondly, that advocated by the Algerian state. |

The findings of the study revealed that these representations actually hanging over the language practices because languages are undoubtedly considered among the essential criteria for the characterization of the collective and individual consciousness, particularly in the case of multilingualism or the ideological tensions due to the choice of a language instead of another where the alternates become the major concern of the speakers, in their everyday use, thus, resulting from them either a valuation or a depreciation. |
| L’effet du contexte sémantique dans l’identification, la compréhension et la production des prépositions abstraites | Author : Fatima Zohra KHALIL | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The preposition has become today an essential research topic in semantics, although it remains quite marginalized in foreign language learning. Schoolbook grammar deals with the preposition as a purely grammatical word, thus reduced to a mere linking tool. This justifies the choice made here to deal with it differently by focusing on the representation of its semantic substance in and out of context. This reflexion addresses the role of the semantic context for prepositions in their 1) representation (identification), 2) understanding and 3) production.
The exclusively-grammatical definition being, from my standpoint, incomplete and incapable of answering the research question, research on the semantics of the preposition has been the recourse. This is the outcome of substantial works undertaken by linguists since the early 20th century. Deal with and study the preposition at a semantic level is simply tackle its signified as a linguistic unit.
The main postulate underlying this work is the idea that prepositions, according to learners, are simple linking words used to relate sentence elements and having no meaning.
The objective here is to bring them, through this experiment, to think and be aware of the importance of the preposition in the making of meaning. It is then an attempt to consider it no longer as a mere « link », but as a unit having its own semantic content, however small. It is therefore about studying the multiple meanings it can induce while used, and the relation it can have with its co(n)text. |

Indeed, language changes emerged in the development of new methods of computer communication, are reconfigured and new language contacts are merged in geographically remote areas. Our objective is to observe and describe new prominent language practices of computer mediated communication in a virtual mobility, we realize how is (co) constructed a linguistic mobility (Van Den Avenne, 2005). In this context, we analyze the writings synchronous exchanges (including instant conversations on Facebook), Where Algerian Internet users and descendants of Algerian immigration to France put their linguistic repertory to combine them with other verbal and non-verbal codes in order to make themselves understood and to establish social relations. This analysis allows us to show how the computer mediated communication can act as linguistic mediator between users (bi) multilingual and contribute in the development of their language skills, while building as an area of virtual mobility, thereby promoting language mobility. |
| Implicite et ambiguïté au service de l’humour : entre sens et argumentation | Author : Kheira MERINE | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :In every communication act, during the reception phase, the question of meaning arises, as this latter is often perceived differently from what the productive instance conceives it. The several causes of this hiatus have been discussed, for a large part by pragmalinguistics (Grice, Martin, Ducrot, Moeschler, Kerbrat-Orecchioni…).. On the other hand, comedians make use of this phenomenon to construct situations where words contribute to create discrepancies serving humour indeed, but allowing a kind of language falsification as well. Using R.Devos sketch When would the vacations be?, we shall try to unveil the functioning of the linguistic and pragmatic processes present in the communication blocking and unblocking, namely ambiguity and the implicit. We shall aim at showing how the text combines these two processes, on one hand, to establish the misunderstanding that serves humour, and, on the other hand, to unlock the situation, thanks to words articulated on both levels of meaning and representation. The communicative dimension of the word is not solely linguistic but is also based on other parameters. The word will thus be the key element in the analysis, and will be pragmatised, as the text uses it, either as a factor creating ambiguity (Fuchs, 1996), or as one functioning implicitly to steer meaning (Ducrot,Kerbrat-Orecchioni) in an argumentative construction.

In Algeria, however, this term lives in a special historical, linguistic, social and legal context and is characterized by a number of characteristics that distinguish it from other terms in this area, both in the Levant and even in the Maghreb countries.Our contribution is mainly aimed at highlighting what characterizes the term in Algerian legislative texts, whether it is a constitution, law or organization, especially since these texts in particular are still depicted and edited in French, as opposed to judicial texts, for example, by trying to answer the following questions: what are the specifics of the legislative term in Algeria?
