This article aims to show how the position of the enunciator gives to the discourse on health a special value and influences its reception by the recipients. Using different discursive methods, the enunciator always seeks to legitimize and credibilize his mediated communication. For this, he emphasizes his authority, emphasizing his professional skills or his institutional affiliation on the one hand, and creating a serene and convivial relationship between him and his readers by saying the truth and saying it right, on the other hand.

Discourse analysis was a revolution in the way discourse was understood and it reconfigured the criteria to be considered in the interpretation of discursive data. It operates a renewal whose fundamental element is discourse and claims to be interdisciplinary because of its relations with other disciplines. The concept formula can be considered as one of the angles of attack in this vast domain.

The study of the influence of social practices on various writings is of great worthwhile analyzing literary discourses. Indeed, social practices are like omniscient, preceding, surrounding, and succeeding the text. Proposals on discourse analysis methods are therefore to be questioned once more regarding their statements as well as their application within texts. Hence the question to know how a text can suitably be analyzed nowadays, especially when the text referred to is particularly complex, anarchical, and difficult to grasp. That is the case withL’A-Fric of Jacques Fame Ndongo, a whole network of social connotations. This paper aims at contributing to an inclusive approach to analyzing literary discourses and their dynamics. It exposes how the discourse is built up and how its different constitutive elements function within the polysystem of the work. The study consists of presentation and examination of the pre-text, the text, the context, and the post-text, which all four build up the discourse and thus the different stages of discourse analysis. In brief, this article presents new findings and perspectives in the study of discourse producing and analysis, both theoretical and methodological. It is found out at the end that no discourse analysis can be done without fully considering these four stages, and also that their total integration by the linguist in his works is imperative to well grasp the message of the author.

Interdisciplinarity seems to be a practice more and more in demand and even essential in human and social sciences. Some disciplines were developed by the intersection of two disciplines or more. This is the case of the analysis of literary discourse. Born from the intersection of Linguistics with literature, this discipline has the favorite place for interdisciplinarity, especially in relation to objects such as the dialogism. In this regard, the history of dialogism, which was born in literature and has migrated to the language studies, also its multidisciplinary nature of this phenomenon made that it could be approached only in the light of a confirmed interdisciplinarity. So, the interdisciplinarity required in the treatment of this phenomenon is the subject of this work.

Determining language strategies that lead to argumentation success is of great importance. Regarding the field application diversity of such linguistic phenomena, a wide range of research was devoted to it. The present contribution aims to determine the conversational behavior, the conversational maxims respect and the conversational constraints satisfaction impact on the argumentation success in political debate. By analyzing the Sarkozy/Royal debate during May 2007-presidential elections, we will demonstrate that any study that rejects the conversational considerations of argumentation in a political debate is doomed to failure.

The present study investigates the representation of Islam in President Obama’s Cairo speech. Many researchers consider Obama’s speeches to be characterized with a powerful language associated often with rhetoric, a firm and measured delivery that exudes confidence and produces a sense of purpose. Moreover, Obama’s speeches have been described to be embedded with certain forms of pragmatism. Hence, the present research incites us to discover the way Islam is represented in Obama’s Cairo speech, mainly from the point of pragmatism and rhetoric, contemporaneously with a time empowered by conflict between the United States and Muslims around the world, and what interest and relationship can be found between the West and Islam. The complex relationship between the United States and various Muslim countries led many people from both sides to view each other as adversely hostile to their principles and traditions. To this effect, the researchers try to analyze how far Obama’s Cairo speech represents Islam with regard to his rhetorical language form associated with pragmatism, with the assumption that what something ‘is’ becomes shaped and represented by the use of language within specific language- games.

This paper examines the discourse of political speeches to discover their potential for use in the foreign language classroom to illustrate persuasive strategies and argumentation. Through detailed analysis of authentic speech, the paper highlights linguistic, lexical, and cultural features of this type of discourse in order to demonstrate how such a tool can be used both in and outside the classroom. Among the various types of political discourse, the discourse of candidates in the 2016 presidential election in America receives much attention in large part in this article because of its cultural and linguistic authenticity and its high availability. A variety of practical suggestions to implementing media literacy in ELT, at various levels of English instruction are provided, including how to guide students listening critically to persuasive messages.

Focusing on a study of the teacher s relationship with language in the field of professional communication, this paper questions linguistic insecurity, starting from an understanding of what the teacher says about his or her relationship with the language of instruction at the university: It is both a question of how the enunciator acts in his or her discourse, and how, in return, the discourse says about the latter. By thus posing the problem of teaching by means of a language whose norms are approximately mastered, the study opens a reflection on sociolinguistic spheres constructed with regard to representations of the modalities of inclusion/exclusion, characteristic of the points of view on the French and English languages in the Cameroonian linguistic landscape, ranging from the most heterogeneous spheres to those founded precisely on the basis of the exclusion of the Other.

Our study is part of the framework of the theory of language polyphony. Our corpus is composed of a set of articles from « Le Quotidien d’Oran ». We attach to analyze some brands of polyphony allowing the journalist to introduce the explicit or implied one or several voice in his speech, while conveying the points of view and expressing attitudes toward its statement and the voices that he puts in scene. We are inspired by the work of Oswald Ducrot and Jean Claude Anscombre which are essentially within the linguistics of enunciation of the theory of argumentation in language and linguistic polyphony theory.

Scientific research, whether it is related to the sports field or not, is thought of, formulated and transmitted through the language, which conveys information between different researchers and several disciplines and eras. This language differs from one researcher to another, from one culture to another, and even from one discipline to another, translation thus, is used as a means of facilitating the exploitation of scientific writings; hence this study aims to define the difficulties encountered by researchers in the field of sport’s applied sciences while translating; we conducted a questionnaire survey on a sample of ES\STS’ professors. The results showed that the percentage of terminology difficulties is the lowest one, with no more than 30% of the answers. Similarly, the percentage of difficulty in translation to or from French is the lowest compared to the other Languages covered by this study.

The problematic of our work falls within the framework of research carried out on verbal interactions in foreign languages, more particularly on the difficulties of exolingual communication and the means implemented to overcome them. The question that concerns us today and which we will try to answer in this work is to know what are the communication strategies deployed by the participants (teacher and learners) in the interactions of the French foreign language class, in production and comprehension, to overcome the difficulties and to carry out the communication?

Since independence, several factors, such as the politics of arabisation, the Anglo-American hegemony and the standardization of tamazight, have led to the evolution of the linguistic landscape in Algeria. What drives linguists to constantly question the use of languages in the various fields of society. This work aims at describing the use of languages in the field of science in Algeria by means of a survey by questionnaire conducted with fifty students enrolled in the second year master. The results of our survey affirm the dominance of the French language. However, this dominance is so shaken by a remarkable use of dialectal languages and a tendency to English monolingualism which is fueled by Anglo-American hegemony.

Through my practice as a translator, I present in this article the problems I have encountered in translating Algerian literature of French expression. This literature is known for its specificity and for the context of production of works doubly marked by colonisation and the black decade. The experience of translation has allowed me to retell, reformulate and transpose the ills of different generations in words that make an impression on the Arabic-speaking reader.
