Author : Ali BOUZEKRI |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :This article aims to answer the question of why the representations shared by Algerian forumeurs on the French suburbs and its inhabitants are most often depreciative. We use the theory of semantic blocks to understand the argumentative sequences in statements extracted from an Algerian forum. The analyzes show a specific order in the relationships between the semantic blocks that lead to the construction of the often-negative stereotypical representations of this important part of French society. |

Author : David YESAYA |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :In this article, we address the issue of the media representation of young people of African descent in the French suburbs. We argue that these youths are usually represented by negative clichés. The first stereotype that we evoke is the figure of the oppressor; the second is the one of the oppressed and finally the third one is the so- called success stories from the "ghetto youths”.

Boxe, Esthétique Et Politique Dans Les Romans De Banlieue |
Author : Christina HORVATH |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :According to a widespread cliché, sport is one of rare openings for young male banlieue residents of postcolonial origin who failed their education. The sociologists Stéphane Beau and Gérard Mauger (2017, p. 11) argue that ‘anti-school culture’ and ‘macho-proletarian attitudes’ contribute to marginalise post-working-class youths on a job market affected by the growing proportion of children in full-time education and the unequal access to quality education. While some banlieue narratives tend to focus on soccer playing characters playing, an increasing number of novelists use boxing not only as a metaphor for the collective experience of peripheral working-class youths trying to control their violence after the 2005 banlieue riots but also a symbol for the writers’ individual performance translating this experience into literary works, or even an aesthetic principle inherent to their creative activity. This paper proposes to examine four novels published between 2006 and 2013 by Mohamed Razane, Rachid Djaïdani, Jean-Eric Boulin and Rachid Santaki in order to explore the figure of the boxer and the double use of boxing, both as a metaphor and an aesthetic principle.

Le Parler Dit De « Banlieue » Dans Le Cinéma Français Des Années 2000 Et Son Impact Sur Les Populations Concernées En 2018 |
Author : Wajih GUEHRIA |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :The accent, the intonation, the use of a foreign language is never insignificant in a song and even more so in a film. The aim here is to problematize the so-called "suburb" spoken language in French cinema and to evaluate the sociolinguistic consequences of this language on the populations concerned. To do this, the selected corpus will be analyzed via praxematics, theory according to which the lexical unit, the "praxeme", is defined by the use that the person makes of it in a given situation, according to a given enunciative environment. The method of analysis derived from this theory therefore gives particular attention to the discourse and to the different stages of its elaboration.

P.N.L Ou Comment La Banlieue Peut Se Représenter dans Le Rap? |
Author : Morad BKHAIT |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :This article aims to analyze the lexical use of young people through the corpus of rap group P.N.L to extract their representations of the suburbs and the use of their references. This critical approach to their texts highlights a presentation of the suburbs from inside. This analysis of literary work on the suburbs and terminology designating the suburbs and its inhabitants: "neighborhoods", "young people from neighborhoods", "the suburban speaking", "the young talker" will be deepened to reveal facets little known, both from a linguistic point of view than purely stylistic (use of verlan, Arabic). Finally, the staging of the suburbs and its representation, through video clips, are also an opportunity to spread the image of the latter internationally. This group and its follow-up in social networks give way to a practice of the French language completely new, tinged with Arabic language. An opportunity to synthesize the neologisms used by the group and their fans who are constantly growing internationally.

La Métamorphose Des Marginales : Vue Panoramique De Mehdi Charef A Karim Amellal |
Author : Karima ARROUS |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :The purpose of this paper is to study the women’s representation in the urban literature in order to show how it has evolved. In particular, it will be necessary to analyze the marginal aspects of the female characters in those four novels: Cités à comparaître (Amellal 2006), Béni ou le Paradis Privé (Begag 1986), Le thé au harem d’Archi Ahmed (Charef 1983) and in Dit Violent (Razane 2006). Also, we will be looking at how the female characters respond to this marginality. The aim of this work is also to show how female representation has largely progressed in between the first and the second generation of those immigrant writers. |
