MÉTODOS RUDIMENTARES PARA RESFRIAMENTO DE SÊMEN DE OVINOS | Author : Thainara Meneguelli, Izadora Zanetti Monico, Renato Travassos Beltrame, Nilson Nunes Moraes Junior | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Sheep breeding has been considered as an interesting alternative for social development in view of the high adaptability and protein source of food to poor populations. Artificial insemination enhances the genetic improvement and makes it possible to obtain genetic material from breeders from other regions or countries, allowing the producer to multiply the genotypes within the herd. Regardless of the species the study of the methods by which cooling and seminal cryopreservation can be performed still needs to be explored in order to provide improvements in the rates of pregnancy to field. The objective of this Project was to compare the viability of sheep semen, submitted to different forms of refrigeration (plastic container soaked with absolute alcohol x use of bubble wrap). For the experiment, the ejaculates were obtained by the method of the artificial vagina of two males. After each harvest, the ejaculates were kept in a water bath at 36°C and then subjected to macroscopic evaluations. The sêmen sample was diluted and the mechanical packaging in French vatsof 0.25 mL. At the end of the package the vanes were submitted to cooling by two treatments: 1) wrapped in bubble wrap; 2) comercial plastic container filled with absolute alcohol. The temperature and cooling curve were adjusted to 0.25 °C / minute by cooling to 5 °C in a comercial refrigerator until the stabilization time, then being heated to 37 °C and evaluated. |
| DIREITO PREVIDENCIÁRIO: CONHECENDO O PASSADO PARA ENTENDER O PRESENTE E AVALIAR AS REFORMAS PROPOSTAS PARA O FUTURO | Author : Jainy De Assis Miranda Magnago, Katia Dutra Pinheiro de Lacerda Pretti | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :As a result of the participation in the scientific initiation program of the UNESC, research was carried out and resulted in the creation of this article. A survey of the historical evolution of Brazilian Social Security, through classical and contemporary doctrine, analysis of legal texts and executive decrees, combined with the study of the way currently the benefits and services are granted were essential to direct research investigators. Knowing the past to understand the present helps critically analyze the proposed reforms for the future. However, one can not on the pretext of bringing economic improvements back from the social point of view. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out a detailed evaluation of the reasons for the social security deficit, before any alteration, aiming not only to avoid prejudicial reforms, but also to implement them in a conscious. The State should introduce fiscalization and error and fraud prevention actions, as well as government surveys that identify the real reasons for the deficit and, based on these results, conscientiously make effective changes. |
| EFEITOS DO EXTRATO DE LIMÃO NA PROTEÇÃO CONTRA DANOS EM ASFALTO CAUSADOS PELA LUZ VISÍVEL | Author : Lucas Força Mariani, Geovana Thiara Rodrigues De Lima, Endrik Nardotto Rios, Orlando Chiarelli-Neto | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Solar irradiation has caused damage to the asphalt structure and the addition of antioxidant components tend to be a protection strategy. The focus here was to investigate the photo-protective effect of lemon extract on asphalt samples challenged by visible irradiation. The sample were divided into G1 (dark) and G2 (irradiated) groups, some of them being treated with Taiti lemon extract (Citrusaurantifolia) to verify photoprotection. Analyzes for roughness and bleaching were investigated macroscopically as well as the compressive strength test (MPa). The statistic was performed by the Origin 7.0 program, being significant at p <0.05 mean values of MPa of the challenged samples in relation to the control. The specimens treated with lemon extract maintained greater preservation as regards roughness and bleaching. Note that samples treated daily with lemon extract and submitted to irradiation presented 26% higher compressive strength (2.78 MPa) than the irradiated group without extract (2.20 MPa). The data indicate that the components present in the lemon extract were able to increase the compressive strength (MPa) after irradiation with visible light. The results open a new window for investigations into the photo protective effects of lemon on asphalt components. |
| O DESCARTE DOMICILIAR DE MEDICAMENTOS PELA POPULAÇÃO DE COLATINA/ES | Author : Julia Tristão do Carmo Rocha, Julia Pinotti Torezani, Juliana Gonçalves Gomes Cocheto, Luana Souza Caetano | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The easy access to drug and the deliberate growth of consumption allowed the storage of large quantities of drug at home, contributing to the expiration, by disuse, of many drug acquired due to some acute affection and bringing the need to discard the expired drugs. However, when carried out in ordinary waste or sewage they contaminate water and soil and are practically impossible to dispose of, in common filtration and treatment processes. Questionnaires were randomly applied in the Colatina town and the data were analyzed in order to verify the most common errors regarding the discard of the drugs and to which characteristics of the population these were associated. It was verified that 100% of the interviewees had medications at home. There was also a lack of knowledge about the National Solid Waste Policy or any information about the appropriate forms of drug disposal. 83% of the participants waste it in the common waste, and more than half never thought of the problems caused by this form of waste. Regarding environmental responsibility, 25% of respondents claimed to have never thought about the environmental problems that this practice can generate. In view of the results presented, it is possible to extract two main information: the lack of knowledge of the population about the problem caused by improper disposal of drug and their high discard rate inappropriately, therefore, intervention actions are necessary to reverse the situation. |
