Understanding this, as a commitment on the part of teachers and musicians to sensitize these new generations and thus, invite them to know and live our musical traditions. |

Abstract :For hundreds of years, Art has been the human activity that has served mankind to reclaim its own existence, to transmit, through generations, all the values that has been built during its historical progression, as fruits of constant reflections, disappointments and encounters among people; therefore, Art is the most propitious space to create reflections about all the matters concerning to life, becoming an undeniable pedagogical instrument. This article tries to clarify the relationship between art and pedagogy, as reflexive element about human realities. Firstly, there are some required definitions about education, art and pedagogy that ease the topic comprehension. These definitions come from several fields of knowledge such as teaching, sociology and psychology, to connect, at the end, with the way art becomes a pedagogical reflection, rescuing historical, social, economic and political issues, even as a resilient possibility. |

Abstract :Este texto apresenta o processo pelo qual a performance titulada Arraigos foi construída, que questiona os fenômenos que surgem quando mudamos de um lugar para outro. Uma reflexão consolidada é proposta sobre as questões: O que acontece com o corpo nos processos migratórios? Como representamos a nova realidade que enfrentamos com a mudança? Que sensações se manifestam em nosso corpo como um produto do deslocamento?O olhar foi orientado pelas linguagens estéticas (corporais e sonoras) e por um processo criativo em que a multiplicidade das raízes é visível a partir da própria experiência e da do espectador. Por fim, a performance conseguiu construir uma ponte entre a pesquisa, a criação e a obtenção de metáforas cotidianas que buscavam encontrar os pontos comuns e a configuração de seus próprios lugares quando não mais viviam nos lugares de origem. |

Abstract :Wind bands, in the Colombian field, are taken as an artistic phenomenon that allows the meeting around local celebrations, where corporal, visual and resounding interrelations are hatched from different enjoyment ways. Their more relevant partners in the towns: parades and open-air band concerts, call to the meeting when they pass by the streets or they rule in a park. Party – intrinsic in any of these events – when metals, woods and percussion rule the street results from the dialogue between traditional Colombian music and European military band instruments to promote, in the local stage, an aesthetics with an own signature. |

The book consists of nine articles written by researchers from institutions in America and Europe. It is a noteworthy compilation not only because of its thematic relevance (en vogue, as the editors emphasize in the introduction), but also due to the relevance of the theoretical discussions it generates (about postcolonial and decolonial criticism, psychoanalysis, historical theory). |
