Kecepatan potong (Vc) merupakan salah satu penyebab meningkatnya temperatur pemotongan dan akan mempengaruhi daya tahan alat potong. Akibat temperatur pemotongan yang tinggi pahat akan mengalami kerusakan salah satunya berupa Aus Sisi (VB). VB akan tumbuh secara terus menerus seiring dengan waktu pemotongan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemesinan laju tinggi terhadap laju pertumbuhan VB selama proses pembubutan paduan Aluminium 6061. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan pahat karbida (Wc+Co) yang dilapisi dengan bahan pelapis Titanium Aluminium Nitrida dan Titanium Nitrida (TiAlN/TiN) menggunakan mesin bubut CNC serta membagi tiga kondisi pemotongan yaitu pada kecepatan potong 800 m/menit, 1000 m/menit dan 1200 m/menit. Hasil yang dicapai dari kondisi pemotongan tersebut adalah pada kecepatan potong 1200 m/menit menghasilkan ukuran VB yang lebih besar jika dibandingkan dengan kecepaatan potong 800 m/menit dan 1000 m/menit dengan waktu pemotongan masing-masing selama enam menit |

The design of this machine has several concepts with steps such as: requirement, problem analysis and specification, design of machine concept, technical analysis, modeling up to work drawing, tool making, assembling and testing. This machine uses electric motors with low power and the price is relatively cheap, so this machine is affordable for the community of UMKM. After doing research on slicing machine of onion by using onion slicer got maximum capacity of 55 kg per hour with 400 rpm slicing knife rotation and 1 mm slice thickness. |

This type of research is experimental, where the authors do the planning, design, manufacture, and testing directly in the field to find out the results of the experiment. The process in this study includes the selection of materials divided into 2, namely market waste and household organic waste which then each fermented for 12 days, after sampling for the test flame and test the methane gas content produced. The results showed that the market organic waste is better used as a material for the manufacture of biogas compared with household food waste because the market organic waste does not require a long time to burn, in the process of testing the methane gas content of organic waste market has a higher methane gas content 52.8% compared with household organic waste which is only 0.29%. |
| KAJI EFISIENSI TEMPERATUR PENUKAR PANAS DENGAN VARIASI ALIRAN UNTUK APLIKASI PENGERING | Author : syukran syukran | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Heat exchangers or heat exchangers are the means used to change the temperature of the fluid or to change the fluid phase by exchanging heat with other fluids. In a heat exchanger the heat exchange ability is greatly determined by the type and type of fluid flow passing through the heat exchanger. Broadly speaking the exchanger is divided based on the direction of fluid flow. Based on the direction of fluid flow exchanger is divided into 3 (three) types of flow, namely parallel flow, counter flow and cross flow. Currently, heat exchangers are widely used in the drying industry of small and medium-sized agricultural and small-scale plantation and fishery products. The use of exchangers in the field of drying is now a need to overcome the problems of drying productivity. Generally the exchanger used is the opposite flow type (counter flow). Several studies have been conducted to determine the effectiveness of these exchangers which generally focus on the opposite type of flow. Specific research studies that reviewed the efficiency of exchangers for the three types of flow have not been found. This research was conducted to find out the efficiency of heat exchanger temperature for flow type of cross flow, parallel flow and counter flow type. The research method was fabricated 3 units of gas-gas exchanger type with dimension 50 (P) x 10 (L) x 30 (T) with the number of tubes 17 staggered arrangement. The results show that the temperature efficiency for the three types of heat exchanger is 21.3% cross flow flow, 17.3% flow counter flow and 15.9% parallel flow flow. The results concluded that the highest temperature efficiency obtained by cross flow flow type exchanger. |

To produce a mold appropriately, of course there are many factors that must be considered, so that the product produced can meet the desired quality standards optimally, whether from dimensional precision, geometry complexity, or process efficiency. Therefore, there is a great need for knowledge and understanding of the basis of mold design techniques, manufacturing processes, injection processes and other parameters that influence the design of molds and printed products. The purpose of this study was to plan a single injection molding mold to make glass molds. The method used is to plan the manufacture of mold which includes the design / design process, product material selection, selection of printed materials and the manufacturing process. Based on the calculation of the main part of the mold, the total volume of the product is 523.124 mm3, the product weight is 47.081 grams and the injection force required in the printing process is: 154.6 N. |
| Pengaruh masukan panas proses pengelasan terhadap sifat mekanik baja AISI 1045 suatu kajian analitis dan analisa numerik | Author : Hamdani | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :n this study nine pieces of AISI 1045 steel plate were welded by welding SMAW with three variations of current, voltage, and welding speed, namely 80 A, 90 A, and 100 A. Welding voltage 20 V, 25 V, and 28 V. Speed welding 2 mm / sec, 3 mm / sec, and 4 mm / sec. For each variation three specimens were tested. Then the welding results are prepared so that they form a standard JIS Z 2201 No 14A tensile test specimen. Then a tensile test is performed to observe the stress distribution and tensile strength of the test specimen. The test specimens are then analyzed by numerical methods using the ANSYS program. Voltage analysis is carried out by giving a load according to the results of tensile testing. Simulation is done by entering the effect of heat and temperature input on the HAZ region. The experimental results show that the heat input of the welding process affects the mechanical properties of steel AISI 1045. Large heat input results in low tensile strength. The heat input parameter with a current of 80 A, a voltage of 20 V, a welding speed of 2 mm / sec produces a tensile strength of 428 MPa. All specimens tested did not break up in the weld area, this indicates that the welded joints with the electrodes used and the given welding parameters produced good joint strength. There is a difference between the test result voltage and the simulation of 4.1%, this is due to, among others, geometry, loading and mesh factors. |

Hybrid dryers in this study use solar energy sources with the help of solar collectors and gas fuel energy. This research is an alternative technology for cases of drying fish. The purpose of this study is to increase the heat temperature of the hybrid drying chamber, to optimize the drying time and calculate the moisture content of the fish. This research was conducted in the laboratory of the Faculty of Engineering of Syiah Kuala University. The highest temperature measurement of the drying room without materials/fish using solar collector was 43 oC with the highest solar light intensity of 915 W/m2, after using hybrid method the highest temperature of drying chamber with the condition there was fish/ingredients increased up to 67 oC with the highest sun light intensity is 908 W/m2. Drying uses hybrid energy was relatively shorter 8.5-13 hours while drying traditionally takes 3 days with sunny weather conditions and high sunlight intensity. The rate of water vaporization reached 30.25% - 38.18% for lutjanus campechanus, and 53.30% - 57.13% for stolephorus commersonii, Lac.). |
