Abstract :Abstract
Problems of toxicity, resistance and residues of existing drugs necessitate development of newer drugs against parasitic diseases. Babesiois and theileriosis are the economically most important haemoprotozoan diseases of domestic animals. Drugs of herbal origin are considered safe for use in human and animal medicine as they have less toxicity and are easily metabolized compared to synthetic chemicals. Potential plant extracts and phytochemicals that have antiBabesial and antitheilerial activity are discussed in the present communication
