Abstract :In this review, the author wants to highlight the possible musculopostural consequences in people who have atypical swallowing.Altered swallowing is often related to dental malocclusion, specifically to open bite. This combination of atypical swallowing with open bite leads to hypotonia of the masticatory muscles, which is confirmed by various authors by EMG examination. |
