Antimicrobial Activities of Nickel (III)-Tetradecylamine Complexes |
Author : Jayandran M |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Synthesis and chracterization of new coordination compounds Synthesis of bis-ethylenediamine Nickel (III) metallosurfactants have always a challenge to the inorganic chemists since they were identified in the 19th century. The crystal activity plays an active role in nature which exemplified by the function of macromolecules such as haemoglobin, chlorophyll etc. cis-a-[Ni(trien)(C14H29NH2)2] (ClO4)3 complex have been discussed biological activity like antifungal and antibacterial studies. |

Abstract :The dye compound like 4-amino-3, 6-bis[[4-[[4-chloro-6-[(3-sulfophenyl)amino]-1, 3, 5-triazin-2-yl]amino]-2-sulfophenyl]azo]-5-hydroxy-2, 7-naphthalenedisulfonic acid hexasodium salt was synthesized by taking 4-amino-3, 6-bis((4-((4-chloro-6-((3-sulfophenyl)amino)-1, 3, 5-triazin-2-yl)amino)-2- sulfophenyl)azo)-5-hydroxy group, and hexasodium salt reacted with -2, 7-Naphthalenedisulfonic acid, are used to synthesized dye like hexasodium salt reactive green-19 Dyes (C40H23Cl2N15O19S6.6Na ). It is soluble
in water. The crystals of 4-amino-3, 6-bis[[4-[[4-chloro-6-[(3-sulfophenyl)amino]-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl]amino]-
2-sulfophenyl]azo]-5-hydroxy-2,7-naphthalene disulfonicacid hexasodium salt have been grown by diluting the substances with slow evaporation technique. The grown crystals were characterized by powder crystal FTIR studies, UV-visible transmittance studies and SEM analysis were carried out. |

Physico chemical analysis of ground water quality in Tirupattur area through rain water harvesting system |
Author : S.R. Xavier Rajarathinam and V. Collins Arun Prakash |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Water quality and its basic needs is more important for both domestic and industrial purpose.Based on these factors the physicochemical analysis of ground water shows that many samples are not suitable for drinking purpose but it is utilized for domestic purposes. Quality of the ground water has been
improved by rain water harvesting In many places the In some places the structures of water are removed after some time. A permanent structure must be needed to improve the quality of water. Government agencies should monitor the structures periodically. In our investigation with the help of Tirupattur
Municipality and students of our college, awareness about the Rain water Harvesting was created among the public of Tirupattur. |

INFLUENCE OF GRAM NEGATIVE STRAIN KLEBSIELLA OXYTOCA ON BIOCORROSION |
Author : S.Chitra, B.Anand |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :The formation of Biofilm develops in enormous number of environments. This biofilm forms colonization on the solid surfaces by Extracellular Polysaccharides (EPS) secreted by the microbial cells. The EPS secreted by microbial cell stimulate corrosion in the engineered materials due to the presence of
poly anionic neutral macromolecules. Many techniques have been described measuring and inhibiting microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC); however none has been accepted as an industry standard. This is because the risks posed to the marine biosphere due to the use of antifouling inhibitors. Recently, a large amount of literature has been edited on the influence of toxic biocides on non-targeted organisms in
the marine environment is most likely. It has been shown that the modifications of antifouling inhibitors by the non-toxic drugs can reduce microbial adhesion and some disentangle effects towards environment. Accordingly, it seems very interesting to study the impact of drug as environment-friendly microbial
corrosion inhibitors. |

Study on Inhibition effect of Mild Steel in Citric Acid Medium Using Natural Inhibitor |
Author : B.Anand , S.Loganathan |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :The effect of inhibition over the mild steel in citric acid medium was studied using Allamanda Blanchetii (AB). Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and potentiodynamic polarization
techniques were studied using this inhibitor. Inhibition was found to increase with increasing concentration of the AB. Many techniques have been described measuring and inhibiting influenced corrosion however none has been accepted as an industry standard. The results obtained show that the purple colour plant AB inhibits the mild steel material in an effective manner in Citric acid media. |
