Author : Nwanama Emmanuel Kenechukwu, Ibenyenwa, John Chinaza |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Background: Stroke is a neurological condition prevalently causing mortality in Nigeria. A thorough understanding of stroke is es-
sential for effective treatment and the reduction of its aftereffects. This study assesses the fundamental knowledge of stroke and its
symptoms, the common practices in relation to stroke risk factors, treatment option and the validity of the information sources as
regards stroke amongst the population of Enugu North. |

An Interesting Case of Abrupt Onset Behavioural Abnormality in A Young Female Following Recovery from COVID-19 |
Author : Soumya Bhowmik and Kuljeet Singh Anand |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Clinical manifestation of acute corpus callosum (CC) infarction is complex and lacks specificity. Until there is a high index of sus-
picion it can be easily missed specifically in the early stage. We report a case of abrupt onset behavioural abnormality following
recovery of COVID 19 infection, in a 30 year old female without any prior comorbidities. Her magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
brain revealed small midline DWI restriction at the splenium of the corpus callosam suggesting acute infarct. |

Author : Ayaz Gen, Saagar Pamulapati, Jin Tao and Vibhav Bansal |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Myasthenia Gravis is a rare disorder, with an incidence rate of approximately 20 per 100,000 people in the US. It is characterized
by muscle weakness that worsens with exertion and improves with rest [1]. Often, the first presenting manifestation is involvement
of extrinsic ocular muscles. Myasthenia can progress to other limb musculature as well as other bulbar muscles. |

Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Reports on surgical treatment for postherpetic trigeminal neuralgia have not been encountered. Hence, we described a case of
postherpetic trigeminal neuralgia treated with microvascular decompression and obtained positive outcomes. We also included a lit-
erature review of the surgical findings. We reported a case involving a 70-year-old man who had herpes zoster infection in the region
of the third branch territory of the right trigeminal nerve for 24 years prior with persistent burning pain and numbness in the region
without a trigger. His initial medical therapy provided by the family physician was no longer effective. |

Postural Control in Static Equilibrium after Different Receptor Stimulations: A Comparison of three Case Studies |
Author : Gamarro Carmela and da Costa Timothy DJ |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Objective: Training allows athletes to acquire different balance control skills based on the discipline practiced. In particular, dance,
in the motor field, allows dancers to optimise the coordination skills that can improve balance and postural stability. The present
study compared the postural tonic system control abilities of a semi-professional dancer (SD), a competitive judoka (CJ) and a control case (CC), under static equilibrium conditions. The subjects, selected according to homogeneity criteria, were subjected to tests in a bipodal position on a stabilometric platform and evaluated after different stimulations. |

Abstract :No preferred decision is a wrapping up. Traditional preferred
decision models have been introductory in appreciative (entrepre-
neurial) preferred decision-making. These assume that individuals
are rational actors who aim to capitalize on their value through
optimal preferred decisions. Since ascent of cognito-sciences in re-
search complex anthropoid capital based preferred decision mak-
ing (HC-ECM) and behavioral complex cognito-anthropoid capital
has engaged strides in direction of snowballing psychosomatic
practicality of prototypes and causal suppositions |
