A Research on Individuals Activity-Focused Motivation, Levels of Involvement and Word of Mouth Communication Tendencies in the Coaching Process | Author : Ece ARMAGAN, Dilara ALTINKAN | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :This study focuses on the coaching processes experienced by individuals. It is assumed that the
coaching process and the behavior of seeking advice on coaching services will activate the
situational motivation of individuals related to coaching, situational motivation will increase
individuals’ involvement in these services, and this may ultimately result in a tendency to give
advice regarding coaching. In order to analyze the relationships between these variables and the
differentiation of demographic characteristics in terms of these discussed variables, responses
were obtained from 270 participants with an online survey application included in the
quantitative research method. The answers obtained were analyzed in the SPSS 24 program. As
a result of the analyzes made, statistically significant relationships were determined between all
the variables. Advice-seeking and the coaching process affected situational motivation,
situational motivation affected involvement, and involvement affected the tendency to give
advice. Demographic characteristics such as gender, age, education and income revealed
significant differences in terms of some variables. |
| Ekonomik Güven Endeksi ile Ihracat Miktar Endeksi ve Ithalat Miktar Endeksi Arasindaki Nedensellik Iliskisi: Türkiye Örnegi | Author : Ergün TEKIN, Feyyaz ZEREN | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :In this study, in addition to being an indicator in monitoring the current economic situation, the
causality relationship between the economic confidence index, which allows to take precautions
by early seeing the economic crisis and possible risks, and the export volume index and import
volume index, which expresses the change in the export and import volumes when the prices
are stable, have been investigated. During the analysis, the Fourier Granger causality test
developed by Enders and Jones (2015), which also took into account the large number of
smooth transition structural breaks in the data sets, was used. According to the results of the
study, in which the monthly frequency data between January 2013 – July 2021 were discussed;
A bidirectional causality relationship was found between the economic confidence index and
both the export volume index and the import volume index. Empirical findings show that
economic decision-makers should benefit from the changes in the economic confidence index
in making import or export decisions. At the same time, these results reveal the role of changes
in export volume index and import volume index values in terms of providing perspective to
policy makers and creating political maneuvers in establishing economic confidence. |
| Pandemi Döneminde Duygusal Zekânin Çevrimiçi Ögrenmeye Etkisinde Stresin Aracilik Rolü | Author : Filiz DEMIR, Murat AK, Serkan ADA | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :In this study, it is aimed to determine the mediating role of stress in the effect of emotional
intelligence on online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic period. Data were collected from
individuals belonging to the Z-Generation, who are actively involved in online learning at
Karamanoglu Mehmetbey University in Turkey, using the questionnaire technique. Three
scales were included in the questionnaire form used in the research. These are the “Emotional
Intelligence Scale” developed by Salowey and Mayer, the “Readiness Scale for Online
Learning” developed by Hung et al., and the “Perceived Stress Level Scale” developed by
Cohen et al. In order to examine the relationship between the variables, a questionnaire was
distributed to four hundred thirty six individuals by the snowball sampling method. The
collected data were analyzed with the structural equation model (PLS-SEM) Smart PLS 3
statistical program using the Partial Least Squares method. According to the results; emotional
intelligence affects online learning positively, and perceived stress negatively. In addition, it
has been found that while stress affects online learning negatively, it has a partial mediating
role in the effect of emotional intelligence on online learning. Even though some of the variables
of the study were studied together in different studies, the fact that these variables were
considered together for the first time reveals the originality of the study. Examining the online
learning process, which is nowadays more important and valuable than ever before, and the
effects of emotional intelligence and stress on it, and providing guiding and enlightening
findings to policy makers and practitioners in the following periods constitute another value of
the study |
| Döviz Kurlari ve CDS Primi Oynakliginin BIST Endekslerine Yayilim Etkisi | Author : Hüseyin Basar ÖNEM | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Researches on financial markets and the volatility of instruments in these markets have found
a place in both national and international literature in recent years. With the effect of
globalization, the price volatility of financial markets and instruments can affect other financial
assets in many cases. As a result, these issues are important for capital owners and investors.
The aim of this study is to examine the volatility interaction, transmission and correlation between Dollar, Euro, CDS and BIST 30, BIST Bank and BIST Insurance variables by using
the CCC-GARCH model. The daily opening values of the related variables were used for the
periods 02.01.2017-31.12.2021. As a result of the research, there was a volatility and correlation
relationship between the BIST variables of the Dollar and the Euro, while there was a volatility
relationship between the CDS premium and BIST variables, and no correlation was found. |
| Sosyal Hizmetle Ilgili Egitim Alma Durumuna Göre Gençlerin Engelli Bireylere Yönelik Tutumlari | Author : Azime ARISOY | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The aim of this study is to investigate whether the attitudes of young people who have received
social work education towards disabled people differ positively from those who do not receive
social work education. The universe of this cross-sectional and descriptive study; It consists of
young people living in the provinces of Burdur, Isparta and Antalya. The research was carried
out between 06.04.2022 and 16.06.2022. The sample is; consists of 385 young people surveyed
online. The data of the study were collected by means of a questionnaire. In the questionnaire
form; Along with the questions about socio-demographic information organized by the
researchers, the Multidimensional Attitude Scale towards the Disabled (EYÇBÖS), which was
adapted into Turkish and evaluated in terms of reliability and validity by Yelpaze and Türküm
(2018), was used. The scale consists of 3 dimensions: emotion dimension, thought dimension
and behavior dimension. SPSS 25.0 program was used in the analysis of the data collected for
the research. As a result of the analyzes made; It was determined that the positive attitude levels
in the dimensions of thought and behavior were higher in the participants who received training
on social work than in the participants who did not receive any training. However, it was
determined that there was no difference in the dimension of emotion. |
| Stock Price Prediction Using Long-Short-Term Memory Network | Author : Mahmut TOKMAK | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :One of the most important transactions of the financial system is stock trading. Stock price data
is handle as a financial time series. Stock price predictions using time series analysis are the activity of determining the future value of stocks listed on the stock market. Predicting the price
of the stock correctly reduces the risk factor in the decisions to be taken by the investors.
Therefore, it is an important issue for the investor. However, because there are many variables
that affect the stock price, it is a very complex process to predict. Machine learning methods,
especially deep learning algorithms, are frequently used in prediction in the field of finance, as
in many other fields. In this study, stock price prediction was made using Long-Short-Term
Memory networks, which is one of the deep learning methods. Four stocks within the scope of
Borsa Istanbul Technology Index were determined and a 2578-day data set was created between
2012 and 2022, and training and testing was carried out with the established model. As a result
of the test process, consistent and realistic predictions were obtained.

| Determination of Technostress Resources and Technostress Levels of Academicians | Author : Mehmet Oktay GÖKASLAN | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :This research was carried out to determine the technostress resources and technostress levels of
academicians. The population of the research consists of 543 academicians working at Mardin
Artuklu University in March-May 2022. The sample of the research consists of 285
academicians reached by the convenience sampling method. The data obtained through online
questionnaires were tested using the SPSS 23 program. The tests performed are correlation,
frequency analysis, ANOVA test and independent groups t test. It has been observed that workhome conflict, negative affectivity and strain dimensions are formed as technostress sources.
Among the hypotheses developed about technostress resources and technostress levels, it has
been determined that there is a positive significant relationship between technostress resources
and technostress levels, strain, work-home conflict and negative affectivity, and technostress
level, technological overload and technological complexity. In addition, no significant
relationship was found between technological uncertainty, which is the sub-dimension of
technostress, and other variables. As a result of the regression analysis, strain positively and
significantly predicts the technological overload, and negative affectivity positively and
significantly predicts the technological overload. According to the results of the analysis, it is
seen that the work-home conflict, which is the sub-dimension of the source of technostress,
does not explain the technological overload.
