| Yakinsama Hipotezinin Test Edilmesi: E7 Ülkelerinden Ampirik Kanitlar | Author : Ayse ERYER | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The Convergence Hypothesis, one of the basic assumptions of the Neoclassical growth model introduced to the literature by Solow, constitutes one of the most fundamental topics of
economic growth literature. This hypothesis reveals that over time, countries with low income levels will converge to countries with high income levels due to reasons such as the decreasing
productivity of capital and the gradual spread of technology. The aim of this study is to analyze the validity of the convergence hypothesis using the per capita income level data covering the period 1990-2021 for E-7 countries with the Cross-Section Extended Im, Pesaran and Shin (CIPS) panel unit root test. As a result of the tests, it was found that convergence was valid in E-7 countries. This result shows that the low-income countries in the E-7 country group will catch up with the other countries in the group in the long run.

| Turizm Sektöründe Uygulanan Telafi Stratejilerinin Misafir Davranis Egilimlerine Yansimasi: Nitel Bir Arastirma | Author : Nilgün TUZCU | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :In the tourism sector, the demands and needs of the guests can be different in line with their cultures, tastes, psychological structures and perceptions, which can make zero error-free
service difficult. Dissatisfaction may be caused by the hotel service, employees, other guests or the guests themselves. The important thing is that wherever the dissatisfaction stems from, the problem should be solved immediately by taking a moderate approach to the guest, measures should be taken to prevent recurrence and guest suggestions should be taken into consideration. Because the reaction of the business to the guest can affect the satisfaction and behavioral intentions of the guests. From this point of view, the study aims to investigate the compensation strategies developed by a five-star corporate hotel operating in Antalya Belek region for guest feedback and the reflection of these strategies on guest behavioral tendencies. In the research, content analysis was carried out by using the documents of the guests who stayed at the hotel.
A qualitative data analysis program ATLAS.ti 8 was used in the analysis of the data. As a result of the research, it was determined that different compensation strategies were applied by the business according to the degree of guest feedback, and the thoughts of the guests generally changed positively as a result of the compensation strategies. It has been determined that guests show behavioral tendencies such as thanking, writing positive comments on online review sites and agency surveys, giving high ratings to the hotel, choosing the hotel again, recommending the hotel to others, rebooking immediately for the next holiday, etc., while at the same time
they show behavioral tendencies such as not reacting at all and seeing it as a task that the hotel should have done before. This study is expected to guide the tourism sector and tourism
enterprises and help them develop solution strategies. |
| Yüksekögretimde Kurumlarinin Bilimsel Yayin ve Yayincilik Faaliyetlerinin Ulusal Ölçekte Degerlendirilmesi: TR Dizin Üzerinden Bir Is Zekasi Uygulamasi | Author : Muhammet DAMAR, Ömer AYDIN, Güzin ÖZDAGOGLU | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The research component in the missions of higher education institutions emphasizes scientific productivity and research impact. The results of this research are directly related to other
components such as education and training and societal contribution. To monitor both scientific productivity and research impact on a global scale and to access literature sources, scientific databases or indexing mechanisms have been developed. Web of Science, PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar are among the most prominent ones, and different field indexes and national databases can also be encountered. Indexes and databases can share large-scale bibliographic data with their subscribers, in addition to publishing their statistics, providing sources for bibliometric and related research that will reveal the general structure of the subject or area. In bibliometric analyses, dimensions such as scientific productivity, topic sets, trends, researchers, institutions, countries, journals, and citations are taken into account. In this context, the aim of the study is to reveal the scientific portfolio of Manisa Celal Bayar University in TRDizin with bibliometric analyses. The original value of the study is to examine the national level scientific productivity of the university through TR-Dizin and to demonstrate it with customized and interactive dashboards developed in a business intelligence environment beyond traditional software for bibliometrics. In the analysis environment developed, firstly, comparisons are perfored by presenting the position of the institution at the macro level among its peers, and then the breakdowns of the publication portfolio are evaluated according to bibliometric dimensions at the micro level. Thus, by examining the current dynamics of the institution, recommendations are presented for the improvement of productivity and collaboration opportunities. |
