| Implementation of Character Education Policy at State Islamic University of Datokarama Palu, Indonesia | Author : Sjakir Lobud, Muhammad Khairil, Nawawi Natsir, Suharnis, Nursupiamin | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The implementation of education in education has become one of the essential policies in universities in Indonesia in order to respond to moral decadence among the young generation today, especially students as an intellectual generation. The policy aims to integrate character values in the world of education in order to graduate a generation that not only has high-quality knowledge and skills but also has good character values. The implementation of character education has been carried out in various ways according to the characteristics of each university, but research related to the implementation of character education policies in universities is still very limited, especially in Islamic universities. For this reason, this study aims to analyze and explain the policy of implementing character education in an Islamic state university, namely the Datokarama State Islamic University of Palu. In examining the implementation of this character education policy, the researcher uses the theory of George C. Edward III (2010) as a construct in data collection. The theory focuses on four factors for implementing a policys success: communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. This study uses a qualitative method. The data for this study were collected using direct observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and analysis of various documents related to the implementation of character education policies. State Islamic University of Datokarama Palu. In-depth interviews involving seven informants from the leadership level of UIN Datokarama Palu. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman (2003). The study results showed that only three factors were quite effective in implementing the Character Education policy, namely communication factors, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. Meanwhile, the resource factor tends to be less effective because of the four resource elements studied, two elements were ineffective, namely the lack of staff. Likewise, facilities still do not support the implementation of the character education policy. The cause of the lack of human resources is the limited allocation of new teaching staff from central government and the occurrence of natural disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis, and liquefaction in 2018, which damaged the infrastructure of the State Islamic University of Datokarama Palu. The novelty of this study is the discovery of the phenomenon that the implementation of the character education policy is not only seen as the implementation of the main tasks of the university but is also interpreted as a form of worship that can be a source of charity. In other words, the policy of implementing character education is also considered part of the manifestation of religious, spiritual values because it can prevent evil from occurring.

| A Symphony of Senses: The Poetic Art of Keats and Rabindranath | Author : Baharul Sheik | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :This research article intricately explores the sensuousness in the selected works of two literary giants, John Keats (1795-1821) and Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941) in a nutshell. Keats, renowned for his extraordinary ability to evoke sensual experiences, is widely regarded as a masterful exponent of sensuousness. His poetry is distinguished by vivid and evocative descriptions of nature, which underscore the profound connection between the human senses and the natural world. Through a nuanced analysis of Keats poetic oeuvre, this study reveals the ways in which the poet skillfully employs sensuous language to transcend the boundaries of the physical world, creating a rich and immersive experience for the readers. Rabindranath, drawing inspiration from Keats poetic legacy, also employs sensuous language in his poetry, deliberately appealing to the readers senses in order to evoke a deeper, more visceral response. While Rabindranaths efforts to deploy sensuous language are notable, this study argues that Keats mastery of sensuousness remains unparalleled, William Shakespeare (1564-1616) being the only other poet to demonstrate a comparable level of skill in this regard. By examining the sensuousness in the selected works of Keats and Rabindranath, this research article provides a deeper understanding of the role of sensory experience in poetry and the ways in which poets can harness the power of sensuous language on account of creating rich and immersive literary experiences. Ultimately, this scholarly endeavour presents a nuanced exploration of the poets works, highlighting their unique contributions to the global literary landscape.

| Analysing The Influential Factors on the Purchase Behaviour of Organic Foods | Author : Saiful Islam, Kaniz Fatema, A. K. M. Golam Rabbani Mondal | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Organic food products have gained significant traction globally due to their perceived health benefits and environmental sustainability. The organic food market is emerging, driven by increasing consumer awareness and demand. This study examines the influential factors shaping consumer behavior towards organic foods in Bangladesh, focusing on the roles of attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, and purchase intention. The research collected 640 valid responses using an online survey and convenience sampling during August 2023 and May 2024. Data were analysed using SMART PLS which facilitated the testing of direct effects and relationships among the variables. The Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) was used in this research paper and an extension was made in the framework by working with 7 different factors. The findings reveal significant relationships: positive attitudes towards organic foods significantly enhance purchase intentions, as does the influence of subjective norms, including peer and community endorsements. Furthermore, perceived behavioral control- including factors such as accessibility and affordability- plays a crucial role in shaping purchase intentions. Additionally, purchase intention was found to be a strong predictor of actual purchase behavior, underscoring its importance in the decision-making process. This research fills a critical gap in understanding the dynamics of organic food consumption in Bangladesh and provides valuable insights for marketers and policymakers. The studys findings suggest that a multi-faceted approach, addressing consumer awareness, social influence, and perceived control, is essential to driving the growth of the organic food market in Bangladesh.

| Von Ebners Fluid for Decalcification of Osteoma: Case Report | Author : Mahmoud A. Aloriby, Mohamed K A Elkawafi, Yousef S.Z. Salem, Amna El-Gehani, Munthir A. Alaribi | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Osteomas are benign osteogenic tumors composed of mature bone tissue, often asymptomatic and diagnosed incidentally during imaging for unrelated conditions. Histological evaluation is essential for accurate diagnosis, with decalcification being a critical step in processing calcified bone tissue for microscopic analysis. This case report presents the challenges encountered in decalcifying a mandibular osteoma from a 21-year-old female patient. The patient exhibited localized pain and swelling, and imaging revealed a well-defined exophytic bony lesion on the left mandible. Initial decalcification attempts using formic acid, hydrochloric acid (HCl), and trichloroacetic acid were ineffective in adequately softening the specimen. The decalcification process was subsequently optimized using Von Ebners fluid, which successfully softened the osteoma and preserved its histological integrity. Microscopic examination revealed trabeculae of mature lamellar bone surrounded by a vascular fibrous stroma, confirming a diagnosis of cancellous osteoma. This case represents the first documented application of Von Ebners fluid for decalcifying human mandibular osteoma, demonstrating its superior efficacy in preserving tissue structure while facilitating sectioning. These findings highlight Von Ebners fluid as a potentially valuable decalcifying agent for challenging bone specimens, with implications for improved histopathological analysis in osteoma diagnosis.

| Physicochemical Properties of Liquid Organic Fertilizer from a Mixture of Fish Waste and Coffee Grounds | Author : Tatuk Tojibatus Saadah, Dwi Haryanta | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Liquid fertilizer made from fish waste contains relatively high nutrients and effectively removes unpleasant odors during production. Coffee grounds are often used to remove unpleasant odors in rooms. This study aims to utilize coffee grounds to remove unpleasant odors in the production of liquid organic fertilizer from fish waste. The factorial experiments first factor was the raw material for making liquid organic fertilizer (LOF), consisting of cow blood waste (P1) and fish waste (P2), while the second factor was the addition of coffee grounds at levels of 0% (K0), 10% (K1), 20% (K2), 30% (K3), and 40% (K4). The experiment was repeated three times using a completely randomized design (CRD). The results showed that adding coffee grounds at 20-30% of the total material could reduce the strong odor to a milder one, changing to a fermented smell at the end of the LOF production. Adding coffee grounds increased the macro and micronutrient content and reduced the C/N ratio in the resulting LOF. Adding 20-30% coffee grounds from the total raw materials is a solution to the problem of producing LOF from fish waste that remove unpleasant odors, while also utilizing coffee grounds that is usually discarded and can pollute the environment.

| Challenges in Implementing Sustainable Marine Tourism Policy against the Threat of Waste in Coastal Areas | Author : Aisyah Ayu Musyafah, Mujiono Hafidh Prasetyo, Rahandy Rizki Prananda, Oktavianto Eko Jati | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Indonesia is one of the tourism destinations most visited by international tourists. Based on the results of the 2022 Central Statistics Agency report, the number of foreign tourist visits to Indonesia reached 678.53 thousand visits. This number has increased compared to tourist visits to Indonesia in 2021, which amounted to 118,533 tourists or an increase of around 364.31%. However, the number of tourists has also increased environmental pollution, such as what happens at Kuta Beach, Bali, which every month faces the problem of large amounts of waste, especially plastic waste. The same thing also happened in the DIY Province, where the distribution of plastic waste has polluted the coastal areas in Bantul Regency, so government policies are needed to regulate this problem for the sustainability of the tourism area. Therefore, research was carried out using the descriptive analysis method, namely a method that functions to describe both generally and in detail the object being studied through the data or samples that have been collected. The results found points of marine waste pollution at marine tourism objects in Bali Province and policies for dealing with marine waste pollution in Bali Province. So if the policy is present, participation from the community is also needed in implementing the policy which is useful for preserving the tourism site.

Sites classified as geoheritage are those that are more vulnerable to the history of a particular region or place. Geo-heritage sites combine geological, historical, cultural, and educational elements. To ensure that a region or culture survives, these important sites need to be recognized and preserved for next generations. Telangana has been controlled by several dynasties, and the region is home to several geo-heritage monuments, including Golkonda Fort and others in and around Hyderabad, which are encircled by ancient and geological structures. Each of these cultural sites, which are dispersed around Hyderabad, has a unique historical value. Finding geo-heritage locations and assessing their historical significance is the primary objective of the paper. Having been abandoned, these locations are unable to enlighten tourists about the regions past. About the locations that exist in these places, there is no information or museum. These objectives guide the conduct of the investigation, and the present paper presents the proper metrics and findings.

| Assessment of the Efficiency of Lidar Data Reduction Methods in the Generation of Digital Elevation Models | Author : Torrico-Irahola, Ramiro | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) have become an indispensable tool for a wide range of surface investigations, facilitating critical engineering and scientific assessments. While there are several methods for acquiring input data, LiDAR technology offers a significant advantage by providing a highly efficient and cost-effective means of data acquisition. The technology produces dense point clouds, enabling the construction of high resolution and high quality DEMs. However, the inherent density and large volume of these point clouds present significant data processing challenges, potentially introducing errors into the final DEM. While numerous data reduction methods for LiDAR point clouds have been proposed, previous studies have yielded inconclusive results regarding the optimal method for generating DEMs from LiDAR data, highlighting the need for further research to establish best practices in the field of earth surface analysis. The main objective of the present study is to assess the most relevant LiDAR data reduction methods and new proposals in order to determine which of them are more technically feasible. To this end, a bibliographical study was carried out on the nine selected methods, which allowed their comparison by means of a criteria-based matrix. According to the results obtained, it was determined that the methods with the best performance in LiDAR data reduction are the PpC method, the OptD method, the Uniform 3D Grids and the RpA algorithm.

| Ai-Based pH Level Detector and Neutralizer of Fish Ponds | Author : Engr. Maribel S. Abalos, Orfel L. Bejarin | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Because of its marketability and nutritional worth, tilapia is a popular and easily bred species, and the Philippines fisheries industry makes a substantial economic contribution. Nevertheless, a lot of fish business owners view aquaculture as a supplemental source of revenue, which leads to inconsistent feeding and insufficient water quality monitoring. Waters pH, which should be neutral at 7.0, can change for a number of reasons, such as pollution and environmental variables, which can have a negative impact on fish productivity and health. Reduced yields can result from fish stress and injury caused by low pH levels. This study emphasizes how important it is to keep an eye on water quality, especially pH levels, in order to maximize the results of fish farming. Between 2019 and 2020, aquaculture production in Region 2 grew by 4.1%, however commercial fishing saw a decrease. Because they are straightforward, traditional monitoring techniques are still widely used; among fish producers, visual observation is the most popular method. This project created an Arduino-based pH level detector and neutralizer to overcome the difficulties in keeping an eye on the pH levels in fish ponds. This device provides real-time feedback for any necessary modifications while automating the measurement of waters acidity and alkalinity. The results showed notable variations in acidity and demonstrated that the developed model successfully assesses pH values across a range of samples, including distilled water, tap water, soft drinks, and alcohol. The results highlight how crucial it is to combine contemporary technology with conventional methods in order to enhance aquaculture water quality monitoring and management and guarantee the best possible conditions for fish sustainability and health. In order to improve aquaculture practices in the Philippines and strike a balance between ecological stability and economic growth, this research promotes regular monitoring and resource provision.

Under this research article it is intended analyze the attitudes of teachers towards AI in general and particularly towards its use in teaching-learning processes, as well as identifying the factors associated with the teachers attitudes toward AI. In this sense, the results of the study will help develop teacher professionalization guidelines that address concerns and encourage the adoption of AI.
Method.-
An empirical investigation of an explanatory and transversal nature was carried out. Concerning population, a through convenience sampling, a representative sample of 632 teachers was obtained with a confidence level of 0.99% of the total population of teachers at a university in the western Mexico. The dependent variables under study were the attitude of the teachers towards AI in general and teachers attitudes to the use of AI in teaching processes learning and the independent variables were sex, age group, type of teacher, teaching experience in the institution, area of professional training knowledge, level of teacher training and AI training.
Instruments.-
To identify teachers attitudes, the AI scale was used, on the one hand. Attitude Scale (AIAS-4) developed and validated by Grassini, F. (2023) that evaluates general attitude towards artificial intelligence, focusing on public perceptions of AI technology. The scale is composed of four items designed to assess beliefs about the influence of AI in peoples lives, in their careers and in humanity in general. The scale items are they focus on the perceived usefulness and potential impact of technology on society and humanity. The AIAS-4 showed high internal consistency. It presented a Cronbachs alpha of 0.902 and an omega McDonalds score of 0.904, indicating a very high level of reliability. The AIAS-4 was correlated with the attitude factors of the Media and Technology Usage and Attitudes Scale (MTUAS) and the correlations were moderate and statistically significant with the positive factors and negative results of the MTUAS, which supports the convergent validity of the scale. For this research a pilot test was carried out and a Cronbachs alpha of 0.71 was obtained. On the other hand, an ad hoc scale was developed to evaluate teachers attitudes towards the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching-learning processes. This scale considered five dimensions: perception of usefulness, ease of use, risk, implication social and intention of use. The scale was made up of 25 items and a Cronbachs alpha of 0.87 was obtained for the entire Scale and 0.77 for the usefulness dimension, 0.73 for ease of use, 0.85 for risk, 0.79 for social implications and 0.78 for intention to use.
Conclusions.-
These are conclusions obtained: (1) Teachers have a good attitude towards AI in general, believing that it will improve life, work, that they will use it in the future and that it is positive for humanity. However, there is a great dispersion among the opinions of the teachers so there is no consensus among them. (2) Teachers have a good attitude towards the use of AI in teaching (4/5) they consider it useful, easy to use, with positive social implications and have intentions to use it. However, teachers have uncertainty and pockets of pessimism about the risk involved AI in teaching. In this regard, they are worried if it will replace them at work, yes will depersonalize learning experiences, it will amplify inequality gaps, if it is safe and reliable and can be used to manipulate and control. (3) Create spaces where teachers can discuss their experiences, concerns and expectations about AI and document success experiences. These forums should encourage exchange of ideas and resolution of common problems, promoting an environment collaborative. (4) Implement AI progressively, starting with tools that teachers considered more useful and easier to use. Provide constant and personalized technical assistance to facilitate adoption and solve problems in real time. (5) Establish periodic evaluation mechanisms to monitor the impact of AI on the teaching and learning. Collect and analyze feedback data from teachers and students to continually adjust and improve learning strategies implementation. (6) Communicate an institutional statement on the use of AI and the guidelines that guide its use. Directly address concerns about security, reliability, privacy and ethics in the use of AI. This includes ensuring that AI will not replace teachers but will serve as a complementary tool. (7) Implement pilot projects in different academic areas to evaluate the effectiveness of the AI in specific contexts. Document and share learning outcomes and lessons learned to guide future implementations. (8) Centralize governance and institutional infrastructure for AI adoption upfront to promote the coordination of efforts. Of course, with openness to serve initiatives from different areas. While the academy defines the criteria to select relevant AI tools for professional training educational programs that are offered. |
