While the supporting factors are community participation and the potential possessed by Karang Indah Village itself. The suggestions from the results of this study are for the Karang Indah Village Government to be able to carry out guidance to BUMDes in developing their business. The Paradox of Thrift: A Case Study of United States of America |
Author : Mathias A. Chuba |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Vermann 2012 and Thies 1996 s papers indicate that the paradox of thrift is no longer in vogue in United States of America (USA). This paper argues that the paradox of thrift is still applicable to USA even though she is operating with sufficient demand. The main objective of this paper is to determine whether the paradox of thrift is applicable to USA after the Great Depression. In doing this, a vector error correction model was estimated using annual data of gross national income, gross domestic saving, gross domestic investment and final consumption expenditure from 1971 to 2020. The results of the investigation showed that final consumption expenditure and gross domestic saving increase when gross national income increases. Gross national income falls and current saving is unchanged when previous saving rises. The paradox of thrift is applicable to USA after the Great Depression. The target of economic policy should be gross national income and not gross domestic saving because naturally both final consumption expenditure and gross domestic saving will increase if gross national income increases in USA. |

When Man is a Cause The Undecidability of Belonging in Kanafanis Returning to Haifa |
Author : Rasha Saeed Abdullah Badurais |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :The focus of my article is on the undecidability of Dovs/ Khalduns identity throughout his conversations with Said X., his biological father, along with some significant selective semiotic referents in Ghassan Kanafanis novella Returning to Haifa. These aspects are highlighted to elicit/ trace Kanafanis implied symbolism of Palestine, the land, and the undecidability/ conflict of its belonging to critique healthy self-criticism the submission of the Palestinians as being guilty of ceding with their land then keep crying to restore it. The novella has been previously tackled from a variety of perspectives parody, intertextuality, characterization, among others. However, the key parts of the novella that show the conflict between father/ son, self/other, right/loss are the conversations between Dov/Khaldun and Said X. To achieve the articles goal, Derridas conception of undecidability is employed to indicate the inability to take a decision due to factors beyond the focal characters, Dov/Khaldun, means. This state of freeplay makes it impossible to settle to any side/identity. In Dovs/ Khalduns case, it is the indeterminate area between the biological Palestinian identity and the acquired Jewish identity. Given that, this view of undecidability is supplemented by other related philosophical aspects such as identity of the I, the conception of belonging, and the symbolic reflection between the Dov/ Khaldun the Jew/ the Palestinian the Colonizer/ the Colonized both Man and the land. The analyses of the novella reveal that a state of bewilderment and vortex of undecidable identity opens once Dov Iphrat Koshin, the Israeli soldier, knows he was born Khaldun Said, the Palestinian citizen. Dovs/ Khalduns words to Said X. show a defensive attitude whereas his semiotic behavior reflects the pain of the truth, and that since that moment, he will not be able to settle his identity is undecidable between Israel/ Palestine, Zionists/ Palestinians, Colonizer/ Colonized, Judaism/ Islam... Kanafani provides a criticism of the Self, here. As the Palestinians of 1948 escaped from their homes forsaking their land to the foreign occupation and then they with the Arabs and Muslims) did nothing to restore it but waiting and weeping. Kanafanis self criticism is healthy as being the first step towards profoundly diagnosing the problem, the loss of Palestine, so as to find practical final solutions for the problem. |

Does Our Every Thought Come From Google |
Author : Aadil Showkat Bakshi , Irfan Hashim |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Talking of a new generation, whenever anyone, anywhere, has a problem, the first thing they almost always do is to look into search engines to find solutions. Instead of looking for how to solve something and puzzling through the solution on their own, people would rather search for a solution that someone else has created. Same attitude is developed by people of almost all fields and ages. For any research purpose, a scholar nowadays seldom spends time with the books or reliable sources. A person always wants to seek readymade answers and overwhelming Internet information--in order to save hard work and efforts. Though, it doesnt mean that one should stop searching for information online. There is an enormous wealth of information online, and it wouldnt be wise to ignore it completely. An attitude needs to be developed where brain uses reliable sources of information rather than picking on already present work. The basic purpose of research is to make an effort to contribute more to what is known about how the Google is adding to the knowledge and affecting the minds. This paper will look how googling everything is affecting the researching skills of a person. To meet the purpose of this paper a questionnaire was devised to collect the responses. |

Language as an Impediment to Immigrants welfares and Development A Case Study |
Author : ABOUBAKAR Nana Aichatou |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Language is a vector of development. Considered like privileged vehicle of transfer of knowledge and ideas, the language plays an irreplaceable role … in all the process of scientific and technological development Diki-Kidiri, 2004 27. It is the means of expressing or communicating ideas which provide the capacity to communicate, thus making it a tool crucial to social organization and technological development. Indeed, language and development are intimately and incontestably linked that no country in the world could develop under using a language other than that of the concerned population. On the other hand, migration is not a new phenomenon: humans are migratory species. For economic or security reasons, people migrate. They moved to new location and new language ecologies where they come in contact with speakers of a specific set of other languages. These changes in the linguistic environment are not without consequences. At this juncture, it is worth noting that to reach their own objectives, immigrants as well as the developers: partners, animators, sensitisers, NGOs agents are in need of language of communication as the development constitutes a process in the center of which the language is. This paper focuses on the utility of language in action in order to understand how can language blocs, impedes immigrants in their daily interaction as it is inconceivable for man to do almost any activity that he does without the use of language. The research utilizes qualitative research methodology by incorporating structured interviews. Another research instrument I use is obtrusive observation to find out which of the second language acquisition, code switching, code mixing or even translation can help immigrants overcome language barriers and experience successful economic and social integration in the host country. |

Adoption of Team Coaching Competencies for Innovative Translation and Foreign Language Instruction: Polylingual and Polycultural Dimensions in Higher Education |
Author : Oksana Chaika (Cajka) |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :The contemporary world is subject to waves of highly rated turbulences and demand volatility in the market of educational services. In the recent decades, Ukraine as a developing state has witnessed varied response from educators, students, observers, bloggers as to the content and quality of education. The paper aims to elaborate the surface scratching recommendations for the development of an educational policy, which may be eligible for adoption at universities, endorsing modernisation of content and structure of higher education inside and outside Ukraine by means of developing, growing and applying coaching mind-set for teaching and learning processes. First, this refers to growing efficiency in communication models by foreign language (FL) teachers (irrespective of the field) and foreign language instructors (teaching foreign languages, languages for specific purposes in foreign languages, and translation) in giving lectures and moderating polycultural and polylingual classes. Second, it links to fostering culturological, axiological, intercommunicative values for polycultural communication in various languages, if applicable, between the teacher and the student and vice versa, the teacher and the teacher, the student and the student, etc. Team coaching may be treated one of the fastest growing disciplines in the coaching profession; and for the higher education, it is becoming increasingly important Team coaching competencies as hard skill of a modern FL / LSP teacher may enable a U-turn in the educational market as viewed in the light of demotivated students, losing interest in an academic degree, or gaining qualifications within the university walls. Team coaching defined as partnering in a co-creative and reflective process with a team (class) on its dynamics and relationships in a way that inspires them to maximize their abilities and potential in order to reach their common purpose and shared goals, may well fit into class instruction of the modern era. |
