| Analyzing the Consequences of Financial Inclusion on the Effectiveness of the Financial System and its Capacity to be Maintained Through Evidence from Asia | Author : Hasan Shirazi | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Using yearly data for 40 countries between 2000 and 2021, this article seeks to examine the connection between the financial inclusion index and development factors in the world s poorest regions: Asia. As a means of investigating this connection, we use pooled panel regression and panel data analysis. This empirical evidence suggests that expanding economies is the key to expanding access to financial services. Women are more likely than males to be economically excluded due to a variety of reasons, including unemployment and literacy rates. People in rural regions of less developed nations have less access to financial resources because of the economy s reliance on agriculture. Wage disparity has a chilling effect on people s ability to participate in the financial system and hampers progress. Because of this low degree of financial inclusion, these nations are not as developed as they may be. This research has the potential to improve the lives of marginalized people in the nations under consideration. Policymakers should think about enacting measures to boost literacy, eradicate gender discrimination, and increase wage equity in order to better the environment for development |
| The Significance of a Community Institution on Education of Street Children in Semarang City | Author : Indra Kertati, Charis Cristiani | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :It is difficult to care for street children in the city of Semarang. It is a large problem in all Indonesian districts and cities. Children living on the street are a vulnerable and marginalized minority whose advantages are difficult to quantify over time. Even while there is a legal foundation for dealing with street children, doing so is not straightforward. There are too many street children for each to be revealed individually. Socially, street children interact with a variety of social components, including their parents, the Social Service, the Police, NGOs that provide help, the shelter environment, the coordinator s supervisor, and contemporaries who are not just children but also adults. The number of children living on the streets rose substantially. The number of street children in Semarang city was 55 in 2015, 192 in 2016, 383 in 2019, and 255 in 2021. In 2021, the number of street children is projected to decline to 255. The rising distribution area population in the city of Semarang becomes challenging to manage. Together with the non-profit NGO called as Anantaka, 15 children living on the streets and their families participated in a participatory urban assessment to determine the efficacy of this strategy. The findings of the mentorship indicate that street children s ability for learning is still inadequate, despite the fact that the NGO that assists them have been active for decades. Children who do not have a consistent schedule hinder the learning process, while parents are unable to assist their children s education since they must make a living. The local government has made every effort to empower street children, but their enormous number and widespread dispersion have restricted its reach. Children living on the streets are trapped in a cycle of poverty that has not been much altered. |

| Grit and Academic Success in Graduate Masters-Level Athletic Training Programs | Author : Abigail M. Elies, Shannon Groff, Michelle McCraney, Sunddip Panesar-Aguilar | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :A construct termed grit, a non-cognitive personality trait, defined as the perseverance and passion for achieving long-term goals, was introduced by Duckworth et al. Grit entails working tirelessly to reach goals while maintaining determination and interest despite obstacles that hinder progress. Although grit-scale surveys are included as part of the application process in other healthcare professional education programs, no published literature cites grit-scale surveys as part of the applications process in Masters-level athletic training (MSAT) programs. The problem addressed is the current lack of grit-scale utilization during the admission process to MSAT programs as a non-cognitive tool to contribute to identifying applicants who will be academically successful. The National Athletic Trainers Association Research Survey Service was utilized to send a web-based survey to over 1000 email addresses. Data was analyzed using the most current version of SPSS (26.0) and was analyzed over four stages. All variables in the study were examined using descriptive statistics. Examples of descriptive statistical analysis used were mean and standard deviation, nominal ordinal level frequency and percentage of categorical variables, and interval and ratio levels of values for continuous variables. Results of the study uncovered that Grit-S scores were higher in participants who attempted to complete the BOC exam more than once. Grit-S scores were lower in participants who had experienced severe human suffering. No demographic variable (age, racial and ethnic identity, gender) was found to correlate with the Grit-S score. Although the first-time pass rate of the BOC exam was not positively correlated with a higher grit score, Grit continues to reveal itself as a positive indicator of academic success. To maintain and increase alignment with other healthcare professional education programs, the use of Grit-S assessments during the admissions process as an identifier of applicants who will maintain determination and interest, despite failures, setbacks, and plateaus is recommended. |

| Imprisonment for Civil Debt (Gizjeling) in Indonesian Praxis Tax Law Enforcement | Author : F.C. Susila Adiyanta | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Gizjeling, imprisonment for civil debt, is one of tax collection instruments. The gizjeling institution in Indonesia was once frozen by the Supreme Court which was followed by Directorate General of Taxes (DGT). In other situation, for the interest of the state in the bad debts collection by the banking debtors during the economic crisis of 2000, the Supreme Court issued new regulation of gizjeling implementation. At the same time, DGT uses gizjeling for tax collection facilities against incompliant taxpayer. This research problem focused on the juridical construction of gizjeling as instruments of tax debt collection, and validity of juridical considerations of the use of aforementioned instrument in the praxis of tax law enforcement in Indonesia. Administrative law point of view brought conclusion that juridical construction of gijzeling is a government punitive form and is the last used means. In tax law enforcement praxis, the basis of the validity of juridical considerations of gijzeling is to provide deterrent effect and psychological compulsion to the taxpayer to pay off the tax arrears. It s strongly recommended that tax law enforcement should prioritize persuasive approach rather than gizjeling as physical coercion. Furthermore the government should encourage public participation with a communicative action model. |

As a state of law (rechtstaat), of course the Indonesian government has its own specialty to respond and to enforce a regulation to deal with di Covid-19 pandemic, in accordance with the provisions of the emergency constitutional law and the limitation on human rights. The limitation on freedom of movement throughout the implementation of limitation on human rights that have been implemented by the Indonesian government, if it traced, they are PSBB, Transitional PSBB, Emergency PPKM and 4-Level PPKM. These are all of the responses and steps that have been taken by the government to cope and to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic. However, of course, the implementation is not always in accordance with what is expected, so it is worth questioning the legal effectiveness, whether it is in accordance with the sense of justice as the law is implemented, or not in accordance and far-reached from the sense of justice as one of the objectives of the law. |

| The Women and the Land: The Conception of Belonging in Hadhrami Society through Almehdar s Operettas (The Victim and the Bedouin Girl) | Author : Rasha Saeed Abdullah Badurais | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Almehdar s treasury of Hadhrami original traditions that creates the DNA of Hadhrami identity has not been investigated to reveal its due value. Therefore, this article aims at scratching upon the surface of this issue through investigating the portrayal of the women and the land, as two major interlinked marks of Hadhrami identity revealed in Almehdar s literature, in the selected operettas, The Victim and The Bedouin Girl, as both reflect the article’s two interlinked points; women and the land, within the thorough portrayal of the original seeds of Hadhrami identity, mainly in mid-20th-century. These issues are to be discussed within the theoretical perspectives of Kathy Butterworth s (2017) conception of women as a decentred autonomous subject. She argues that between the autonomous and decentred authority, the undecidability of women can be situated. Besides, there is a symbolic link between the attachment to the homeland and that to women (central decentered) highlighted in previous literature as Smith (2019), Tzili Mor (2016), Alexander (2011), and Linda Marina (n.d.) but from a negative perspective unlike this article. The analysis shows the situation of the two women in the texts, The Victim and The Bedouin Girl, in their relation to the patriarchal authority of the father, cousin, and the lover potential husband. Given that, in these texts, the constructive interchangeability of women and the land reflects how Hadhrami people, though of a tribal and patriarchal mentality, are attached to their land as a source of belonging and indication of identity. Likewise, their intimate love for their ladies is a source of power that makes them do the impossible to defend them and never cede with them. As for the Hadhrami women, the texts show that they have a space of freedom to say their opinions frankly and declare, but politely, their love affairs and their right in selecting their husbands. Meanwhile, they are respectfully bound by their parental decisions. In all, these texts show the extent to which they are sacred for their men who never accept any foreign invasion to their land or ladies. |

| An Assessment of the Factors Leading to Projects Success/Failure in the Mauritian Building Construction Industry | Author : Tse Kai Wai Dudley, Narsoo Jeetendre, Reekoye Heman, Chittoo Hemant Birandranath | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The Mauritian building construction sector is the 3rd largest employer in the economy with around 46,300 employees, thus absorbing a large percentage of the working population with minimum level of education. However, in the Mauritian construction industry, the concept of project success failure still remains unclearly defined. The well-known success criteria like time, cost and quality do not provide any practical information of achieving project objectives in an efficient way. Thus, it is very important for local building construction companies to understand the factors which make a project successful or a failure, if they want to progress in the highly competitive environment. The main aim of this research is to identify the major success failure factor (and their interrelationship) from the 26 factors which were identified from project management literature. The survey was carried out among the major stakeholders of the Mauritian building construction industry through emails and social-medias. 37 responses were successfully received. From the analysis, primary and support areas of success failure factors were identified and a framework was worked out so as to illustrate the factors which can increase project success in building construction. The most important success failure factors are proper planning scheduling, purchasing, contractor competences and other project management skills. Moreover, a clear interrelationship has been identified between primary and support areas of success failure factors. Hence, from the developed framework and the interrelation matrix of project success failure factors, major building construction project stakeholders in Mauritius can focus more on the primary factors to increase chances of project success. |

| Contestation of Islam Nusantara: Reasoning of Pluralism in Constructing Religious Harmony in Indonesia Context | Author : Saepudin Mashuri, Hatta Fakhrurrozi, Ruslin, Sugiyar | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The existence of religious pluralism in Indonesia cannot be separated from the dynamics of Islamic contestation in the Archipelago. The reasoning and practice of religious pluralism have not yet received full support from Muslims. Social conflicts are often injured in practice, such as intolerance, violence, and persecution between religious believers. This study aims to reveal the significance of reasoning and practice of religious pluralism in building religious harmony in the context of the plurality of the Indonesian as a nation. This literature research seeks to explore relevant data from various sources such asbooks, proceedings, and journals (Zed, 2004: 2-3). Data analysis was conducted through content analysis related to Indonesia s concept and practice of religious pluralism. This study shows that the reasoning and practice of religious pluralism have great significance for shaping the understanding, awareness, and religious attitudes of the majority of Indonesian Muslims who are tolerant in responding to differences in faith, worship rituals, and religious cultures. This religious attitude can display the moderate face of Islam in interfaith social and humanitarian interactions in society. The dialectical reasoning of religious pluralism in this study resulted in five basic findings, namely: Islam Nusantara: a localized meaning of Islam; religious plurality from a multiculturalism perspective; pluralism reasoning in building inclusive religious attitudes; religious meeting point towards religious harmony; and Pancasila (Five Principles of the republic) as the indigenous style of Islam Nusantara. The original form of Islamic contestation in the Archipelago is reflected in Pancasila is a common consensus, the estuary of encounter, and the style of the struggle of Islam Nusantara to date. |
