Distribution of Inheritance in Islam and other Religions: its application and analytical review | Author : Maryam Noreen, Dr Aasia Rasheed | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :It is clear from orders of inheritance that the religion Islam gives right to every human. It adopts numerous procedures for the purpose of giving rights, which, in one form, becomes the law of inheritance. In this law, after death of a person, his remaining proprietorship becomes the proprietorship of his legal heirs. The deceased person’s wife, children, father, and mother etc. are entitled to his proprietorship. In the religion of Islam, there are not only orders regarding Islamic share of legal heirs, but also the deceased has been given the right in his lifetime that he can give his whole or part proprietorship to poor and rightful people. It is because the proprietorship of the deceased person should not come to hands of illegal persons, while the said proprietorship can equally be distributed among the authorized legal heirs/persons. Legacy is also the right of females as given in the Sunnah and Holy Quran. But in present days, Muslims follow other religions, and do not give the Islamic share to the women, which will badly affect them at the Day of Judgment. This article has discussed the rights of women in Islam regarding inheritance. |
| Conditions of Proving a Crime under Islamic Law and the Prohibition of Leniency in Particular Crimes | Author : Dr. Muhammad Nasir , Dr Muhammad Aziz | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Human Life has been granted great sanctity in Islam. In order to protect human life against any form of aggression, two types of punishments have been prescribed by Islamic Law; “hadd”, which is a fixed and unchangeable form of punishment prescribed in certain cases, and “ta’zeer” which is the variable and discretionary part of punishment prescribed for cases other than “hadd”. A deep analysis of these two types of punishments reveal that Islam wants to protect the life, honor and property of every individual because any violation against these three will result in disturbing the peace of the society which will lead to chaos and loss of trust among the society members. Since a society is seldom free form crimes, Islam does not want the individuals to take action against any type of crime because this will lead to arbitrary application of law which is against the very raison d’étre of any legal system. In this article, we analyze the conditions of proving a crime under Islamic law and we also shed light on the Prohibition of leniency in applying particular types of punishments |

| Flattering and its nature/limitations in the light of Quran and Hadith | Author : Dr Shabbir Husain, Dr Rashida Parveen | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Flattering or praising someone in front of him has become routine practice being commonly noticed in our society. It seems that the practice, which is actually disallowed in Islam, is not being discouraged. Flattery is spreading like an epidemic in our society. It is being assumed that one is successful in worldly life if he/she knows the art to flatter.
There is difference between flattering, encouraging, reinforcing and praising. Flattering or praising is not just to say something kind about a person. Praising is to glorify especially by the attribution of perfections. Flattering is to praise excessively especially from motives of self-interest. Admiring someone or and encouraging him is not bad if done in the right way but praising someone in front of him/her is not something good because mostly people do it to make a good impression upon that person for their vested interest. That interest could even be seeking good behavior or remarks in return. Flattery makes a person flustered to the extent that in return he cannot see the mistakes of the flatterer. In this article we shall know that such type of person is disliked not only by Allah and the Prophet ? but he is looked down upon all. Such like people are mostly interpreted in Islamic History as “munafiq” due to resemblance of their acts with munafiqeen. |

| The Story-Telling Style of the Quran and Preaching of Islam-A Critical Study | Author : Dr Muhammad Amin , Sana Zia | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Story Telling has been one of the most effective methods not in teaching only, but rather it is also the best instrument for preaching and indoctrination. Preaching Islam or Daawah wa Al-Irshad is a great religious obligation as it is evident from its teachings. This object in view, Quran has very vehemently emphasized on this compulsory component of Islam as to awake the Muslims to strictly abide by the Islamic teachings and persuade the non-Muslims to embrace Islam as being the best religion. Keeping in view its importance, the Holy Quran has narrated several stories of different Prophets (AS) and other nations to make people learn from the same and improve their methods of "preaching". By reading these stories the Last Prophet (SAWS) and his companions were encouraged not to be dis-appointed from the denial of the infidels/"Mushriks" of Makkah. In this article, benefiting from the verses of the Holy Quran wherein the sacrifices and extraordinary efforts of the great preceding apostles (SA) are discussed, a detailed critical review has been presented. |

| Delima of the Fixation and Determination of Qibla | Author : Dr Rashida Parveen , Prof.Dr Muhammad Amin | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Islamic Shariah is universal, all its injunctions are based on comfort, easiness and openness, instead of deep philosophical and mathematical delicacies. This is only because of the fact that the jurisdictions of the Islamic Shariah are the sea and land , the black and red including all residents of these regions. Furthermore, if the obligations of Islam e.g., "??????"and "?????" etc, are obligatory for the "residents"of cities and other educated people, exactly in the same way these are for the inhabitants of villages, islands and the ignorant individuals too. Subsequent upon this, it is very much desired by reason, wisdom and special blessing of Allah (S.W.T) that the "Shari Ahkam" which are so common, the same should not be made dependent on mathematical delicacies and astronomical instruments. So that all and sundry may perform their obligations easily and with full satisfaction
The ambiguities raised by Allama Inayatullah Al-Mashriqi and some Aryan Hindu,s authors regarding the under reference topic named "Delima of the fixation (Determination) of Qibla" shall thoroughly be discussed. This paper will argue and let those facts go through the researching and inductive stages to explore the valuable realities. Efforts would be exerted to arrive at the conclusion that in the Delima of Fixation (Determination) of "Qiblah" all of our religious forefathers (predecessors) e.g. "?????", "??????"and " ??? ??????" shall be strictly followed. It means, that we must fix (determine) the "Qiblahs" position (direction) on account of only estimation ( ????? ? ????) through the significant signs of the natural phenomenon (i.e) the rising and setting of the Sun, the Moon, besides identification of some of the stars; and not through the man made, scientific and mythological hypothesis. |
