The Relationship Between Sanitation Hygiene and Non STH Worm Egg Contamination in Fresh Vegetables in Food Stalls | Author : Lilik Setyowatiningsih, Ririh Jatmi Wikandari, Surati | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Fresh vegetables can be a source of transmission of worm infections to humans. The behavior of washing fresh vegetables that are not good by housewives and sellers of fresh vegetables in food stalls becomes large in transmitting worm infections if there are worm eggs that are still attached to fresh vegetables. The most common contamination found in fresh vegetables were eggs of the intestinal nematode Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH) as well as non-STH and trematodes. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between sanitation hygiene and contamination of non-STH worm eggs in fresh vegetables at food stalls in Semarang City. This type of research is an observational study with a cross sectional approach. Based on the results of laboratory tests, from a total of 165 samples examined, eggs of non-STH worms with species of Fasciola sp and Toxocara sp were found in 45 food stalls selling fresh vegetables. Based on bivariate analysis, there was no significant relationship between personal hygiene (p = 0.071) and environmental sanitation (p = 0.334) on contamination of non-STH worm eggs in fresh vegetables in food stalls in Pedurungan District, Semarang. |

Samples sent using PTS may be shaken due to the varying speed and air pressure in the PTS. The use of PTS can affect the examination of platelet counts and potassium levels. The installation of PTS at the Gadjah Mada University Academic Hospital was carried out in May 2020 in the Yudistira, Arjuna, Kresna and Nakula buildings. Delivery of laboratory samples at RSA UGM every day can be done from buildings with different distances. Every hospital that uses PTS is advised to validate PTS and investigate blood specimens for the possibility of hemolysis and laboratory results. The purpose of this study was to validate the PTS distance as a transport medium for laboratory examinations. This research is an experimental research which is a follow-up study using 30 samples. Samples were taken twice and sent with the PTS from two different distances, namely YD 2 and IGD. The statistical test will use a paired sample t-test. The data will be analyzed with the help of Prima Graph 8 Statistical Software with a significance level of 5%. The results of the analysis showed that there was no difference in the results of the examination of platelets and potassium sent from YD 2 or from the ER. |
| Risk Analysis of AST and ALT level in Patients with Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 | Author : Mochamad Rizal Maulana, Sutji Kuswarini | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases that occur due to abnormalities in insulin secretion and/or insulin action. In type 2 diabetes mellitus there is a decrease in glucose absorption by the body due to insulin resistance. Energy metabolism from glucose is processed through the synthesis of fatty acids in the liver (cytosol). The process that occurs continuously causes the accumulation of lipids in the liver or "fatty liver" so it is necessary to check the levels of transaminase enzymes which include SGOT and SGPT. The purpose of this study was to analyze the levels of SGOT and SGPT enzymes in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus using the analytical observational method. The results of the examination of SGOT and SGPT levels from 30 patients who were taken randomly at Dr. Soetomo Surabaya will be analyzed with bar graphs and diagrams. Of 30 random samples, 20 samples (66.67%) had SGOT levels above the normal value, and 12 samples (40%) had SGPT with results above normal values. This study concludes that there is an increase in the levels of SGOT and SGPT enzymes in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. |
