Abstract :Nowadays, some people regret having a breast augmentation surgery, considering their implants oversized and not natural looking. However, the decision of having a reduction procedure is not easy, since it implies more skin scaring.
Some patients would like to reduce their implant dimensions about one or two sizes without having a new scar. Considering the skin and muscle previously involved, this represents a problem for the surgeon, who must perform a technique without long or bigger scars.
Therefore, we have developed a new technique, which allows us to perform an easy and efficient implant volume reduction avoiding the scar consequences of a breast lift surgery. |

Author : Murugaiyan Nagarajan |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Aim: External auditory canal cancers are rare, aggressive that spread along the vascular and neural pathways invading adjacent structures. This study aims to analyze the prognostic variables, treatment, and outcomes of patients with squamous cell carcinoma of external auditory canal and middle ear treated in our institution.
Materials and Methods: Retrospective analysis of 10 patients treated in our institution between 2010 and 2019. The data collected includes patient characteristics, treatment modality, and outcomes.
Results: The mean overall survival including all stages was 10.9 months (range 4-28 months) at 2years of follow-up. The mean OS was 21 months in patients with stage I while it was 6.8 months in stage III and IV. The mean overall survival in patients presenting with facial nerve palsy was 7 months.
Conclusion: Early-stage squamous cell carcinoma of EAC who had upfront surgery with negative margins had good prognosis. Advanced stage III and IV, positive margin, facial nerve and nodal involvement were associated with poor prognosis. |

Aberrant Termination of The Thoracic Duct, Structure to Be Considered In Interventional Nephrology For Vascular Access |
Author : Iyad Abuward Abu-sharkh |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Background: The placement of the central vascular accesses for hemodialysis is a very frequent activity in the daily work of nephrologists, and the success of renal replacement therapy in both chronic and acute patients depends on it. That is why it is important to know the complications due to these interventional procedures. In this article we discuss the case of a possible anatomical variant of a structure that is mentioned very little in the clinical practice of interventional nephrology; the thoracic duct.
Conclusion: The knowledge of anatomy and possible anatomical variants, the use of minimally invasive instruments and good training are considered essential to avoid major complications during vascular interventions. |

Abstract :This study was a phenomenological investigation of nurses caring for drug-dependent persons in rehabilitation centers in the Province of Cebu, Philippines. The study utilized hermeneutic phenomenological approach of Van Manen.
