Abstract :Objective: characterize the hospital-acquired pneumonia (HAN) in the Intensive Care Unit(ICU) of the
Methods: a descriptive and cross-sectional study was carried out to characterize the hospital-acquired pneumonia in admitted patient in ICU of the General Hospital “Guillermo Domínguez López” in Puerto Padre, Las Tunas since June, 2018 to May, 2019. The population was all the patients who acquired the infection during the admission. The information was taken from de patient`s clinic file. It was created graphics and charts to pick the information. Dates was described, analyzed and compared with others national and international studies.
Result: The prevalent age group was 60 -79 to 59%. Asisted mechanical ventilation was not realed with the HAN due to the procedure was only performing in 9 patients to 25%. The most frequent isolated germ was citrobacter. The deseases which was most related with (HAN) was neurological deseases. The mortality was high, 20 patients die to 58%.
Conclusion: linic and epidemiologic characterisctics of NIH was described in the ICU of the General Hospital “Guillermo Domínguez López”. |

Abstract :The aim of this research was to study of stability of the basic physico-chemical and pharmaco-technological indexes of quality (appearance, average mass, homogeneity of mass, resistance to crushing, erosion, decomposition, identification and quantitative determination of amino acids) obtained samples of tablets based on the swine’s cryoliophilized xenoderma with lecithin and without it. The results of study samples of drugs fit into acceptable standards and show the stability of the main quality indicators during three years of storage at a temperature (8-10)° C in a tightly closed containers in a place protected from light. |

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome Burden in Central India: A Cross-Sectional Study |

Abstract :Background: Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is a common endocrine syndrome with the disproportionate activity of androgen. This study is intended to determine attitudes with respect to the present names for the syndrome and acuities held by women regarding the main clinical features of PCOS. The study compares the status of PCOS patients and reproductive-aged tribal women prone to PCOS in the population of Central India at Amarkantak.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was performed in which a sample size of 500 females by random sampling was considered for the study and a well-validated questionnaire following the Rotterdam criteria for the diagnosis of PCOS was administered. Data collected relating to PCOS risk factors and the status of disease burden in society were analyzed using SPSS v 25.
Results: The prevalence of the PCOS was around 6.6% owing to wretched lifestyle practices. Midst them, the risk factors were depression/anxiety in 32.2%, obesity in 28.4%, diabetes in 7.6% and infertility in 1.8%. 86.6% of people were unaware of the disorder and 41.8% of them were prone to PCOS.
Conclusion: Early detection and tracking of risk factors can help in the management of PCOS symptoms. A population-based program of screening and awareness including treatment modalities may be beneficial for the management of the disease. |
