Mariko Mori: Intertwining Art and Shamanic Spirituality | Author : Silvia Rivadossi | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :By looking at the Japanese artistic milieu between the late 20th century and the first decades of the 21st century, it is possible to notice that the category “shaman” and the connected narratives are defined, used and re-negotiated in many ways. To illustrate this process of re-appropriation and re-invention of “traditional” terms and themes, this paper investigates the case of contemporary artist Mariko Mori. Her interest in spirituality, “traditional” religions, and archaeology has led her to construct a personal narrative of shamanism that develops in three main phases, going from a representation of the shamanic actor to the evocation of its role and, finally, to the embodiment of the latter. Her main aim of revitalizing the connection between humans and nature, by using the most advanced technology, can be traced back to “new spirituality” and, within it, to what has been defined as “shamanic spirituality”. |
| On the Legal Effect of Corporate Representatives’ Unauthorized Guarantee in China | Author : Zhang Shiming, Zhang Zhuoyuan | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The Article 16 of the Company Law was recognized as a loop hole among scholars of law in China. However, through a scrutiny of its modification and evolution from 1993 till today, we can assert that Article 16 should be a administrative and mandatory provision, the breach against of which does not necessarily entails loss of legal effect for unauthorized guarantee contracts as confirmed by the Company law. To settle issues about the effect of corporate representatives’ unauthorized guarantee, several categories should be divided for different situations. When the counterpart is bona fide, the guarantee contract should be deemed as valid; if the counterpart is malicious or when the company fails to ratify with follow-up authorization, then the guarantee contract should be null or invalid. For this purpose, judicial organs may learn from the systems of Germany or Taiwan region in deciding whether the counterpart is bona fide or not, or joint liability should be imposed on the corporate representative to reach a fair judgement that protects the interests of both the company and the counterpart. |

In every era there came number of contributors who spend their whole life in this regard. In 1st Hijra the only thing which remained in focus is seerat-un-nabvi. Tabeen (Muslims who saw and met companions of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him)like Urwa Bin Zubair and Imam Zuhri continued to collect ahadith (Sayings of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him) related to seerat-un-nabvi then came Ibn Ishaq which remarkably contributed in field of seerat-un-nabvi and magaahzi (Events of the battles fought by Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him).
Seerat (Biography of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him written by someone) of Ibn Ishaq and Waqdi stepwise gave birth to new ideas and new topics came into focus. In these new topics the most wonderful contribution is to highlight the evidence of Prophethood, and Hafiz-Al-Mashriqi Abu Bakar- Al- Bahiqi is the pioneer this regard, who wrote the Dalail-Al-Naboowa-Wa-Maharif Ahwal-Al-Shareeyah. | Naming people on the move according to the political agenda: a study of Belgian media | Author : Valériane Mistiaen | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The aim of this article is to study the different denominations used to name people on the move in the Belgian French- and Dutch-speaking press. Denominations are the main condition for social phenomena to exist as they rely on discourse and not on material reality (Kaufmann, 2006). According to Siblot (2001) naming social phenomena is always a choice and depends on the point of view taken by the speaker. The so-called “refugee crisis” has received huge media attention in Belgium (De Cleen et al., 2017) but, contrary to other European countries, there is no Belgian coverage of the situation. Indeed, the Belgian media landscape is divided amongst a Dutch-, French- and a much smaller German-speaking communities, all of which harbour different journalistic traditions (Raeymaeckers and Heinderyckx, 2018: 14). For these reasons, Belgium is an excellent case study to observe the divergences between the linguistic repertoire of denominations referencing people in the two main linguistic communities. To explore this, an exhaustive corpus composed of press articles was collected between 2015 and 2017 in both French- and Dutch-speaking communities of Belgium. For each community, the tabloid and the broadsheet with the largest circulation were analyzed. The analysis combines Discourse Analysis and Corpus Linguistics, as they complement one another. At first, the repertoire of common nouns in each corpus seems similar but differences lie in the frequency of denominations used to qualify people on the move and also in the collocations that construct their meaning. In both corpora, the word refugee is strongly collocated with status and administrative terms. One important finding lies in the difference in frequencies of the word migrant, which is used less often in the Dutch-speaking corpus than in the French-speaking one. This article also gives special attention to relatively new terms, such as trans migrant, transit migrant and newcomer |
| Marxism and Theories of Global Justice | Author : Dr Julien Rajaoson | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :We shall see that as the Master of suspicion, Marx rejects capitalism, which he considers to be a system of bourgeois oppression, absurd and decadent. The latter eludes the importance of the social question in the historical future of a society. Trampling on the lyrical illusions of practical rationality, he insists on the rigidity of economic and social determinisms, to which he confers an over determinant role in sub-estimating the impact of cognitive and/or psychological mechanisms on the exercise of state power. We will explain how dialectical materialism in Marx joins in many respects the methodological revolution initiated by Nietzsche, particularly as regards its requirement to contextualize a real understood as a fabric of forces, in order to understand the origin of the dominant values and that of the capitalist system. Moreover, it will be important to develop the idea that within a civil society, itself prey to a crisis of the sittlichkeit (the ethical life), history tends to separate the interests in favor of imperceptible cowards perverse become legion, while insidiously affecting a social body incapable of escaping from material contingencies. We will then have the right to question the way in which revolutions occur? |
