Chronopharmacology: A New Approach for Drug Delivery Schedules | Author : P D Gupta | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The discovery of biological clock has changed many established concepts and hypotheses in pharmacology and medicine. Diseases borne due to disturbances or deregulation of biological clock are set right only by setting the clock right. There are many natural and life style factors which deregulate the clock. Recently many chronotherapeutic drugs were discovered and tested this review throw light on such problems. |
| Comparison of the effectiveness of feminist therapy with sex therapy Based CBT on sexual intimacy in Betrayed Women | Author : Bafandegan, Vahid | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The Present Study Aims to Comparison of the effectiveness of feminist therapy (FT) with sex therapy on sexual intimacy in female. This Study Was Typed of Experimental Studies with pre- test and Post-Test with Control Group. The Study Consisted of All woman Referred to the Counselling Centres in university Neyshabur City. A Sample of 36 People Was Selected Then Randomly Assigned to Two Experimental Groups and One Control Groups. The people inventory sexual intimacy Botlani (SII) Was Used for Data Collection Then Based on 12 Meetings 90 Minutes for the Experiment Groups. The Pre-Test and Post-Test Scores Were Analysed Using a Manova Test in the SPSS 20 Software. According to the Results of Showed feminist Therapy More Effect Than Other Experimental Group and Control Group (p=0.001) so sex Therapy More Effect Than Control Group in Variable (p=0.001). The conclusion is that the feminist therapy approach can be used to increase sexual intimacy in developing Muslim societies. |
| Hospital at Home, an innovative approach for Elderly care during the COVID-19 Pandemic | Author : MD Abu Bashar | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly affected the elderly people (those aged 60 years or above as per the definition by the World Health Organization) who are found to have higher rates of infection and poorer health outcomes in this pandemic compared to other age groups. Nevertheless, elderly adults, despite having a wide range of chronic illnesses, are experiencing critically inadequate access to care as healthcare organizations are emphasizing more on patients primarily affected by COVID-19. Furthermore, Elderly people remain most vulnerable in this pandemic as most of the nations do not have adequate preparedness to ensure acute and chronic geriatric care in public health emergencies. |
| Xeroderma Pigmentosum: Important Oral Manifestations Case Report | Author : Guadalupe Josefina Mikel Tostado | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The Xeroderma pigmentosum [XP] is a rare inherited skin disorder and transmitted in an autosomal recessive manner. The aim of the present article is to report a XP case with oral manifestations and to discuss the role of the dental professional management of this entity. A 5 year old male presented lentigos all over the skin and predominated in photoexposed areas. Oral hygiene was good and dental affection was important. No lesions were observed in the lips, tongue and the rest of the bucal mucosa but multiples teeth with cavities were observed. Antibiotic treatment was started and surgical treatment. Besides dermatological, ophtamological and neurological management, XP patients require constant dental care and follow –up in order to control the occurrence of new lesions on the lips or inside oral cavity. |
| Compaired Sacubitril/Valsartan with Benalapril on the Left Ventricular Remordeling of Ami after PPCI: A case-control study | Author : Yanmin XU | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Background: To compare the effect of sacubitril/valsartan with benalapril on left ventricular remodeling in patients with acute myocardial infarction.
Materials and Methods: 85 patients with acute ST segment elevation myocardial infarction who were treated with PCI in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin Medical University. The patients were randomly divided into two groups: the experimental group (sacubitril/valsartan, 25-100mg/d, BID) and the control group (benalapril, 5-10mg, QD). Color Doppler echocardiography was performed after 1 month and 3 months respectively, interventricular septal thickness, septal motion amplitude, left ventricular end diastolic diameter, left ventricular end systolic diameter, posterior wall thickness, posterior wall motion amplitude, LVEF, left ventricular weight, left ventricular weight index, NT Pro-BNP, gender, height, weight, body surface area were collected. In order to evaluate the influencing factors in the process of ventricular remodeling, binary multivariate logistic regression analysis was carried out for the indicators with statistical differences in the conclusions of the above control study. Subgroup analysis was carried out and the samples were divided into four subgroups according to gender, age, initial ejection fraction .
Resulst: one month after the treatment of sacubitril/valsartan or benalapril, only the left ventricular end systolic diameter was statistically different between the two groups (P < 0.05), and the other indexes were not statistically different. Three months after treatment with sacubitril/valsartan or benalapril, there were statistical differences in the indexes related to myocardial remodeling between the two groups (P < 0.05). The results of multivariate logistic analysis showed that the index of left ventricular end systolic diameter was statistically significant (or=0.006, 95% CI: 0.733-0.981). Acute myocardial infarction whose LVEF is less than 50%, show sacubitril/valsartan is better than traditional ACEI.
Conclusion: sacubitril/valsartan Compared with benalapril is better on left ventricular remodeling in patients with ST segment elevation acute myocardial infarction. |
