Abstract :This study aimed to determine the effects of the audio-video oral communication drills on the performance of Grade 4 learners in English in Pasibi-Bituag Elementary School during the school year 2019-2020. The experimental group performed significantly higher than the control group after being exposed to audio-video oral communication drills in English 4. School administrators should encourage elementary English teachers to explore, use a variety of approaches, and provide challenging measures to enhance the communicative competence of learners to help them become proficient speakers of the second language (L2) as it likewise helps them boost their confidence. The audio-video oral communication drills and other interactive modes of instruction should be employed to aid learners come up with better performance. |

English Proficiency Level of Grade 11 Learners in Malasiqui Agno Valley College in Relation to Social Media |

Abstract :The overall average grade in English of the Grade 11 learners of MAVC is 89% with an equivalent descriptive rating of average proficiency. The Grade 11 learners of MAVC commonly access Facebook, Messenger and Youtube to communicate with family and friends, to learn something new, and for school related purposes during their free time which last from 1 up to more than 4 hours. There is no significant relationship between English Language Performance and social media usage in terms of social media sites visited and purpose of social media visits with computed x2 values of 2.256 and 2.003, respectively, which is lower than the critical value of x2 which is 9.35, and a contingency coefficient of 0.15 indicates a no or negligible correlation.; however, there is a significant relationship between English Language Performance and social media usage in terms of frequency of usage with the computed x2 value of 32. 372 which is higher than the critical value of x2 which is 9.35, and a contingency coefficient of 0.51 which indicates a moderate positive correlation. |

Abstract :This study aimed to determine the level of instructional capability of the public elementary school teachers in Calasiao District I during the school year 2019-2020. The teachers’ level of instructional capability as perceived by the Master Teachers is “Capable”. Likewise, the teachers themselves perceived that their level of instructional capability is “Capable” along the domains of Content Knowledge and Pedagogy, Learning Environment, Curriculum and Planning, and Assessment and Reporting. However, the teachers rated themselves as “Moderately Capable” in terms of Diversity of Learners. Teachers encounter “Serious” classroom management–related problems which need to be addressed by the teachers themselves and school administrators. Teachers’ level of instructional capability is not associated with the extent of the seriousness of classroom management-related problems they encounter. |

Proficiency Level of Grade 2 Learners in English Basis for an Enriched Vocabulary Booklet |

Abstract :This study aimed to determine the proficiency level of Grade 2 learners in English vocabulary at Saint Charles Academy, San Carlos City, Pangasinan, during the school year 2019-2020. Further, it aimed to develop and validate a vocabulary booklet intended to enhance their proficiency level in English vocabulary. The proficiency level in the vocabulary of the Grade 2 learners is 70.90, which is described as the beginning. The proposed enriched vocabulary booklet was utilized to help improve the level of proficiency in vocabulary among the Grade 2 learners. After using the proposed Enriched Vocabulary Booklet, the Grade 2 learners have significantly improved their proficiency level, obtaining a percentage rating of 93.48. This corresponds to an Advanced Proficiency Level. The researcher recommends using the proposed enriched vocabulary booklet to help enhance the level of proficiency in vocabulary among the Grade 2 learners. |

Proposed Video Clips for Use of Grade 3 Learners Classified Under Frustration Level |

Abstract :This study aimed to develop and determine the effectiveness of video clips on the reading comprehension of Grade 3 learners at Aliaga Elementary School during school year 2019-2020. The pre-oral and post-oral reading comprehension levels of the learners as revealed in their reading test results were compared. T-test was employed to determine the significant difference between the learners’ pre-oral and post- oral reading test performances. The pre-oral reading comprehension level of the Grade 3 learners is Frustration. After the proposed video clips were utilized by the learners, the post-oral test results revealed that the Grade 3 learners moved up to independent level of reading comprehension. The proposed video clips were found to be effective in enhancing the reading comprehension level of the Grade 3 learners. It is recommended that the proposed video clips should be used by Grade 3 English teachers, to improve learners’ level of reading comprehension. Similar studies should be conducted focused on areas not covered by this study. |
