Chemometric Determination of Memantine and Donepezil |
Author : Guzide PEKCAN ERTOKUS |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :In this study, which was conducted to analyze the drug sample used in Alzheimers treatment containing memantine and donepezil, UV Visible Spectroscopy was used together with the chemometry determination method. The ultraviolet spectra of the active ingredients of memantine and donepezil were measured and recorded, they were found to be of workable purity and analysis was carried out. In the method we applied, the mean percent (%) recovery for memantine and donepezil was calculated for the synthetic mixture and for the drug sample. The calculated values are quite high. The results obtained from the PLS and PCR calibration techniques used were controlled by the ANOVA test. The developed methods are one of the reproducible, sensitive and accurate methods and can be recommended for the analysis of drug samples containing memantine and donepezil. |

Stress-Performance Relationship in Call Center: A Qualitative Research in Izmir |
Author : Irem DOGAN, Cemile ÇETIN |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Employee performance has always been paramount to an organization’s success in today’s business environment. Research has shown that several contextual and behavioural factors within an organization have significant impact on employee performance. One of the most important of these factors is stress. The aim of the study is to examine the relationship between job stress and performance in the case of call center employees. In the research carried out through qualitative analysis, the data were obtained from 10 employee working in a call center in Izmir. Semi-structured interview and phenomenology technique was used. Stress factors stated by the employees are reflected in the performance levels of the employees in different ways. It has been stated that there is a relationship between stress and performance. Relationships with colleagues and customers were cited as sources of stress. Other sources of stress included workload. It has been stated that stress affects performance positively. By evaluating the findings, suggestions were developed specific to the call center and working life. |

Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Clay and clay minerals are a natural material that is widely used in solving environmental problems and in construction. It is widely used as a direct construction material in road and railway embankments, airports, earth and rock fill dams, embankments and water channels. In this research, the chemical and mineralogical composition, soil index and engineering properties of Günkiri Tandir clay, which was taken from the Günkiri town of the Güroymak district of Bitlis in the Eastern Anatolia Region, were examined. Its chemical, XRD and SEM analyzes were examined and it was determined that this clay contained illite type clay mineral. According to soil index tests, this clay is classified as low plasticity clay (CL) according to ASTM D2487 standard. As a result of the standard proctor test, the maximum dry unit weight and optimum water content of Günkiri Tandir clay were determined, and permeability, pinhole and dispersion tests were carried out by using these values. In the experiments, it was determined that this clay is impermeable and does not show dispersive properties. As a result; it was concluded that Günkiri Tandir clay, which was examined in this study according to its chemical and mineralogical composition, soil index and engineering properties, may be a construction material that can be used in engineering applications. |

Centrality with Entropy in Hypergraphs |
Author : Ihsan TUGAL, Zeydin PALA |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Entropy is used to measure uncertainty in complex systems. Hypergraphs provide structure for mathematically modeling real-world data. In this study, analyzes were made using entropy on the data in the hypergraph structure. The entropies of the nodes and hyperedges were calculated using the node degree and hyper edge degree. Their activities were found according to these values. The applicability of this method in weighted or unweighted relational structures was demonstrated through examples. In institutions with multiple departments and employees, the results obtained with the proposed method can be used to support decision-making processes. |
