Correlation of Parameters of Semen Analysis in Oligospermia in Infertility | Author : Dr. Sumaiyya Firdous , Dr. Zeenath Begum, Dr. Suresh Patil | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Background: Various semen parameters including morphology, vitality, motility, maturation, pH, count, agglutination and
biochemical parameters altogether determine the overall quality of semen. Common factors associated with oligospermia are
diseases (genetic, infectious, hormonal and obstructive), smoking, environmental factors such as radiation, heavy metal poisoning,
overheating of testicles.
Objective: Semen analysis in infertile males of various age group with possible correlation of parameters in relation to oligospermia.
Materials and methods: This cross-sectional descriptive observational study included 150 semen sample received from various
infertility clinics, obstetric gynaecology clinics, In vitro fertilization centers, and from individuals with infertility problems. The
study was conducted from July2021-February2022. Parameters studied included volume, liquefaction time, pH, count, motility,
morphology, immature forms, agglutination, leucocytes, and fructose.
Results: Out of 150 cases, majority belonged to the age group of 31-40years, mean age was 33.14 years. Seventy-three cases
(48.7%) were normal, six (4%) showed azoospermia, 71 (47.3%) showed oligospermia. Parameters correlated positively with
oligospermia are age (0.008 Pearson correlation, 0.946 p value, not significant), pH (0.194 Pearson correlation, 0.106 p value, not
significant), liquefaction time (0.106 Pearson correlation, 0.378 p value, not significant). Parameters correlated negatively with
oligospermia are volume (-0.58 Pearson correlation, 0.633 p value, not significant) and motility (-2.77 Pearson correlation, 0.19 p
value, significant)
Conclusion: The study showed a positive correlation of oligospermia with age, pH, liquefaction time and negative correlation with
volume and motility. The study also showed a significant association between oligospermia and motility, morphology, agglutination
and fructose. |

This results in an increase in acute or chronic toxicity, in particular cardiac toxicity, associating a variety of arrhythmias ranging from benign sinus tachycardia to the most complex ventricular arrhythmias. Heart risks are higher when people are young. We report the case of a 48 year old male chronic user of illicit substances, including cocaine, cannabis, amphetamines as well as alcohol; and who presents a wide variety of ventricular arrhythmia and conduction disorders associated with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM). We describe through a review of the literature the physiopathological mechanisms involved in the genesis of rhythmic disorders and myocardial damage secondary to toxicity; before considering the management challenge of arrhythmias induced by multiple drug addiction |
| The Influence of Therapeutic Communication to the Level of Patients’ Anxiety in Rst Dr. Soedjono Magelang Icu | Author : Ainnur Rahmanti , Endro Haksara , Suryo Ediyono | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The research entitled THE INFLUENCE OF THERAPEUTIC COMMUNICATION TO THE LEVEL OF
PATIENTS’ ANXIETY IN RST Dr. SOEDJONO MAGELANG ICU was conducted on May 1
st, 2007 until June 30th, 2007. Anxiety
is a feeling of worry that is expressed in order to face threat from outside whether they are real or unreal. A way to overcome the
anxiety is giving the therapeutic communication. The research goal is to find out how the influence of therapeutic communication
of client treated in ICU and to find out the illustration of anxiety level before and after treatment by therapeutic communication.
This research is stake to be an experiment research, one group pre-test – post-test research. The subjects are 30 clients treated in
ICU. The anxiety level is measured by the research instrument named Rating Scale for Anxiety (HRS-A). The statistical analysis
test is carried out by using t-test in pre-test and post-test design. The result is t=19,746 > t table (d.f=29 t table=2,045) and the level
of significance is 1%. The conclusion of the research is therapeutic communication has an influence to reduce patients’ anxiety level
in ICU. |
| Skin Burn After Applying Garlic Occlusion. A Case Report. | Author : F.Georgieva, Zh. Stoyanova | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Naturopathy is a relatively new medical approach which combines different traditional remedies and health care practices. Tinctures, compresses, teas and other medicinal forms are used. The main sources are herbs and plants. However, their inept application often leads to unwanted side effects such as bleeding, gastrointestinal disturbances, allergic reactions, fatigue, dizziness, confusion, dry mouth, photosensitivity, hypertension, rash and a lot of others. Among the most frequently used naturopathic remedies is garlic. In parallel with its many good effects, allergic reactions and skin burns are not infrequently described. In this report, we present a case of second-degree skin burn on the dorsal lower leg caused by the use of crushed garlic over a short period of time. |

| Is The Use Of Probiotics In Premature Newborns Preventive For TheDevelopment Of Necrotizing Enterocolitis?Study Carried Out In The Neonatal Units Of Epic Latino, 2015 – 2020 Period | Author : Aguinaga Romero, Fernando. Md, Fajardo, Carlos. Md, Hoyos, Ángela. Md,Terán, Enrique.Md,Vásquez Hoyos, Pablo.Md, Arcos Hidalgo, Mj. Md,Molina Gonzalez, Viviana. Md,Salazar Venegas, Carla Gabriela.Md | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :This retrospective cross-sectional study investigated the relationship between probiotic use and necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) prevention in premature newborns at the Neonatal Units of Epic Latino between 2015 and 2020. The study included 8,632 premature newborns, 309 of whom developed enterocolitis. Results showed that gestational age was the primary risk factor for NEC development, with incidence inversely proportional to gestational age. Probiotic administration was not found to be a significant protective factor against NEC. The study suggests that further research on probiotic type, dosage, and administration is required to determine their effectiveness in preventing NEC in premature infants |
